Glad to see Claus and Lavie once again, but no real interactions with the new protagonist was a let down. I'm sure you notice Claus disability? I am thinking it is related to the ongoing manga series.

I just finished rewatching this episode just now as part of a re-marathon program of the original Last Exile series. I've probably watched it numerous times already, but this was the first time I understood why Claus and Lavie stopped themselves from grabbing their second sandwich lol.
I still don't quite understand it. Save money or fat?
