| It wasn't bad or wasn't great. The only thing that got a little annoying was naming of the moves every time they used them. All this drama about TTGL, seriously come on. There are similarities between both anime but so what. Does that affect the make up of TTGL? NO. Also TTGL is not on a pedestal where noshing can be compared to it. |
| That was pretty awesome. Kind of a TTGL feel to it, I like the different abilities among the "Needless". This seems like it could be really good, idk. The priest is so GAR, it ain't even funny. | All comparison to TTGL is pretty lame. Yeah, the art is similar but that's about it. To me, I saw this as something Marvel or DC would have put out. This was nothing more than a mutants battling each other ala X-Men. If you want to drop this after the first episode, so be it. It's good to see superheroes/mutants in anime for a change. As for the ED, WTF was that shit? It has absolutely nothing to do with the show. I didn't sign on for yuri. I had more than enough of hinted yuriness from K-ON! And the song was even bad. Sadly we are stuck with it for all 13 episodes. |

It's difficult to argue with someone who has a ~65 % Anime compatibility with. :-p But to defend myself... I've seen numerous animes that didnt want to see after one episode, but typically around the 3rd is when i'm drawn in. They do have to set the basis of the story. Edit: you also seem to be a little harsh on rating , however sad to be true but this is the only anime i have hope for this season |

| Apparently, Japan got addicted to the GAR that leaked out of TTGL, and decided that it was a good idea to make another, and I wholeheartedly agree. I loved this first ep, and I might even like it more than TTGL if it plays its cards right. I just hope that Blade lives through the whole series. And not that I didnt like it, but what did the ending have to do with the anime? |

Saki (good god don't even get me started on how obvious it is in this show), K-On, and hints dropped in every other show I've seen the last few seasons is just driving me absolutely crazy. If you want to put lesbianism in a show, fine. Aoi Hana seems to be doing it nicely. But to leak/pour it into a show that has nothing to do with it is absolutely absurd. This show was good from the opening up until the ending, when I saw the three loli girls kissing eachother all over. Seems to me they belong in Kanakon. |

| After reading this forum, I can safely say that a lot of people are taking this series way to seriously. I'm gonna give this series a few more episodes just to see if they can satisfy my A.D.D. This series so far is definitely biting TTGL, but it could have some potential if it can intensify its absurdity. Ok lets break this show down a little, Satoru Nishizono has done some descent scripts like NHK, Naruto, and the first episode of Toward Terra was quite good. Director Masayuki Sakoi however is pretty new to game, but I did watch a few episodes of his Kamen no Maid Guy and now understand where that ending came from. Moving on to art director Yuka Okamoto, it looks like he has a lot of experience with background art but still no gurren Lagann link yet, if there was going to be one I'd think it have to be with the character design but Hiromi Kato doesn't seem to have any involvement with Gurren Lagann either. Oh well, lets just say that the artist were heavily influenced by it. |
