If the original translator from the first game doesn't do it I'm not interested. He carried the novel a lot with extremely liberal translation.

It seems like koestl will be involved because he's constantly tweeting about the localization and Sekai Project itself.

The official release will include added content such as new CGs and a freshly edited translation.

That suggests that they will be using koestl's translation.

Edit:
Sekai Project will be handling general project management and the same staff from TLWiki will be working on all 3 games if this Kickstarter is successful.
Yep, you'll have koestl.

so you dislike the idea of getting the closer experience to what Japanese fans got it protomting spltiing the fan base
"If you tremble with indignation at every injustice, then you are a comrade of mine"

When the union's inspiration through the workers' blood shall run
There can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun
Yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one
For the Union makes us strong

It was liberal, but it was still close to what the raw text wanted to convey. Most of the "off" translations were the jokes and some of the dialogues in the SOL segments.
Just look and compare TLwiki's sub and CR's sub, TLwiki's felt more natural because they didn't translate it literally but translated it based on the thought the phrases contained. I'm not a good translator nor had any experience translating anime/manga/vn/ln etc, but it's safe to assume that koestl did a good job.

Money spent for Kazuki time is good money spent.

I do agree that a good liberal localisation done by someone who understands both Japanese and Western cultures well is vastly superior than a simply literal translation with correctly adapted meanings.

That's the difference between translation and localisation. Even if the words' meanings are properly translated, due to cultural differences there are certain messages cannot be conveyed literally. One of the biggest examples is probably jokes - some of which simply do not work in different languages/cultures. There is a lot of those in Grisaia, and I was glad to see them done right.

unfortunately, the Grisaia first game is going to steam as an all ages version.

There will be no kazuki time.

Also Grisaia's idea of a liberal translation isnt that he changed what things mean.

He literally added a bunch to yuuji's monologues and made them relatable.

That's some surprising and great news. Would be awesome if they at least reach the 120.000 goal and in best case even 150.000 for the mahou shoujo spin-off.

The addition of new CGs also sounds like a great bonus.

According to the article there'll be an all-ages version (probably distributed over steam) and an uncut version.

We will have a edition with the mature content uncut on our own platform; we're working on bringing the all-ages version of the trilogy to Steam, but if Steam rejects the games, then we will release the all-ages versions on our platform as well.

Agree with you guys on koestl having done the translation, it read much smoother than a lot visual novels for me. And that kept my interest even in yumiko 's route which was quite bad comparative to other routes. I will be throwing my money at this though, and will hope it gets successfully funded.

No wonder Tunafish man couldn't save the anime, he was too busy with the kickstarter... A worthy sacrifice.

I'm a little worried about what a 'discount' on the +18 version means. I hope that there inst a situation where you have to buy the games again for them. If they are digital for like a small amount that seems fine, but it's a little unnerving.

Anyway: Magical Chiruchiru financed on day 1: $201,437 <3

The funding for this is insane, I thought the project might come out short of the console ports but it's pretty much all the way there in a day. I really hope Sony won't stonewall the Vita port since it's pending Sony approval, I would love to play some VNs on there and hopefully this encourages other projects.

Can someone enlighten me: After the translation by Sekai Project, will the trilogy only be available to buy through the internet? Or, will it be sold maybe in specific shops in western countries and available in torrent sites and stuff? Because I haven't particularly understood the whole thing with the prices. I haven't been reading any other visual novels and I don't know about such kickstarter projects, that's why I am asking.

Question about the trilogy, does the second and third game pretend that the seperate routes you take in first game never happen or do they still continue from where they left off?

Meikyuu has both teh grand story route and (short) after stories. Teh grand story pretends that teh romance/route endin's never happened, while Yuuji still solved their problems basically.

Rakuen follows teh grand story route, which Meikyuu introduced. It also has a short prologue to Kajitsu, which was already adapted by teh anime lol

So the after stories are for each of the five girls you romanced during their route?

And suddenly kickstarter forcing Sekai Project to remove all tiers that include dakimakuras because they were deemed inappropriate.

Yet this one openly showed dakis in a post... I don't get it.

So the first of the trilogy has been released, remember to get the denpasoft version as the steam version is obvs censored. If you buy the steam version, there is no way to convert to uncensored version and you can't get it for free either, they are complete separate SKU's.
