| Just out of curiosity, what do they think of foreigners? I have read many comments coming from different sites, that they hate us and think we are a bother. Another says that they love foreigners. So what do they really think of us Foreigners? |

| I'm not Japanese but I would think it's a bit of both. That tends to be the trend in most place I think. Some people enjoy or don't mind foreigners, others hate and despise foreigners. |

Naturally, they probably won't be able to get along as well with foreigners than their own kind, since there is a lot of culture that is shared among them (social etiquette, mannerisms, language, customs, etc). Same as with pretty much any other homogenous country. I heard Japanese sluts like foreigners though because they spend money on them. Don't be that gaijin that's taken advantage of. And don't be Davido-kun, either. |

The way they portray Americans in anime is hilarious but sometimes facepalm worthy, and is likely partly a reaction to how Japanese are portrayed as spastic and perverted by a few Western cartoons and the like (and not entirely inaccurately). |

| I have generally heard that older folk will usually hate you, especially in areas outside of the largest cities. I have also heard that younger people in the country are more accepting and welcoming to foreigners, as long as said foreigners aren't obnoxious as all hell and respect Japanese culture and way of life (morals / values).
