Dragon Ball back where it belongs. I hope they keep the Yamamoto score and just take out the tracks that rips off Avatar's and Terminator 4's respective osts.

I love dbz and all, but seriously can't they give anime like hxh, magi, or even fairy tale a chance?

Guess they still have a bit more milking to do.

A redux DBZ anime for a redux Toonami? ... Perfectly legit. I was trying to figure out why they would air "Cooler's Revenge" tonight on Toonami.
It was also announced that Cowboy Bebop will be returning to Toonami.

... Possible HD-restored versions?

With a little patience and time, Aniplex and/or Funi might be able to air what you want. (not sure about Hunter x Hunter. Turns out that no American distributor has the rights to the Remake, and Viz Media has the rights to the earlier anime adaptation. ... hey, if they allow the older series to be aired, it'd be better than nothing!)

No Dragon Ball is top priority. Dragon Ball Kai has one of the best English dubs and so far on American tv it has only been shown censored on Nicktoons and censored to death on Toonzai so it needs and deserves an uncut run on Toonami.

pretty stoked for both, I've been meaning to give DBZ a rewatch and I haven't seen Bebop yet, so this works out.

In the second tweet, I wonder if the fairy tale and death note mention could be future reference ? thatd be cool too

Most likely, Sean Schemel had spilled the beans already a while back. I think though Toonami will start from saiyan saga and then progressively go to Buu saga instead of showing Buu saga right off the bat.

I would like for magi to get on toonami since the first season is dubbed.
I am still surprised Hunter x Hunter isn't dubbed and it has gotten over 130 episodes.

Hmm I am happy that Bebop is coming again, now Ill get to watch it a second time.

LOLOLOL

I only named recently popular shows.
What do you think Toonami should show then?

I can agree that the Magi anime sucks but I disagree on HxH

Cowboy Bebop? Why not try something that everyone hasn't seen 50-60 times already? Like, I don't even have cable so it doesn't make a difference to me, but I'd like to see bigger networks take chances and try airing new shows in the US. There are more anime than Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, and Bleach that can be popular here...

Now if it only had the Faulconer music. Still, it would appear like Toonami is bringing back swome heavy hitters from it's past days of conquest to the viewer front here in 2014.

Hope they run it either before all the premieres or after them. I really don't want to go through a rerun in middle of a bunch of new shows like I do with Space Dandy right now.

Why have you missed the previous 20 times its run? Its been on constant reruns for years on Adult Swim. Theres no reason to waste a timeslot on it after they finally removed it last year... I was glad they finally would use its timeslot for something new.

Fuck yeah. DBZ Kai where it should be! Time to rewatch Dragonball. Oh and Kai didn't feel like a rewatch to me given the mature dialogue and how darker the villains are.

Preaching to the choir there, Adult Swim has aired that series for the umpteenth time.

Maybe they're bringing it back to save on money for newer shows? I mean, they got Blue Exorcist, Black Lagoon AND Attack on Titan within months of each other (and SAO had just finished its run), they were bound to be pretty low on money after all of those.

I'm not too thrilled about it either, and I was happy they finally got rid of Bebop, but hopefully they're only bringing it back as filler for a newer show they want to get (praying for Kill la Kill).

I don't care for DBZ, as long as it doesn't get an early time slot I'm fine with it.

Bebop is probably coming back due to FUNimation putting out the Blu-Ray sets this year

Thoguh if that's the case I'd assume they'd air the Blu-Ray rip because Bebop in 1080p is GORGEOUS

Toonami has ran the fuck out of Cowboy Bebop. It's getting old at this point.

Hopefully they'll be airing the Buu saga with it.

It'd be awesome if Kill La Kill is included (still haven't seen it), but I doubt Toonami would have the balls to air it since it's got scantily clad women. I mean, they bleep the crap out of Black Lagoon's cussing just to play it safe. Plus, they edited the extreme gore in Deadman Wonderland--despite Toonami aiming for a mature/older audience--which made me not watch it at all on TV. And here I hoped that Hellsing Ultimate has a good chance of being aired (I hate censorship in ALL forms. It's a pussy idea then and now).

Good grief, this anime cul-de-sac needs to come to an end. There are some pretty good shows out there that don't hit U.S. televisions, and I find that baffling. Dragonball needs to go away, it was a launching pad that pushed anime into the mainstream, but that was 13 years ago. The Mount Rushmore of mainstream anime in the U.S. today have been the same faces I remember a decade ago; Luffy, Goku, Ichigo, and Edward Elric...get these fossils out of here and inject some new life into Toonami's block! And not that crap where you run a show for it's season and disappears.

DBZ Kai has never been on American TV uncut and a -lot- of ignorance regarding it has been spread because of that (same with One Piece but that's died down significantly in recent years), if it were the old Z, I'd agree but Kai definitely deserves a spot.
