No. I saw potential in the series thanks to the first episode and I was hoping it would live up to it ... sadly I was wrong. Good move on dropping it.

I'm honestly watching just because the studio that's animating it is MadHouse. Not really worth it in terms of story / plot

No. It actually just gets worse with every episode. I'm watching it now just to say I completed it.

It has always been terrible enough to be worth watching, if you're into that sort of thing.

personally i don't hate it but its not for someone who completely hates cliches in amine or no character development i'm only sticking around because i want to know how it ends and to see if the'll throw a huge plot twist somewhere and make it worth watching.

Yeah it's pretty bad you can compare it to Coppelion in terms of hype and the let down that followed. Every week I anticipated the next episode just to see if it got any better, well it didn't :/ Mahoka (preview girl) and the end song are the best parts of this anime in my opinion although it's enjoyable to see it try to be good :P

Just curious, but does anyone know if the LN is a shitty as the anime or if it's just an awful adaption?

No this series is pretty mediocre/bad..... The only appealing thing that got me to try out the show was the magic aspect of it.

I personally enjoying this anime. It is not great, but good enough for me to watch it. It is better than Noragami and all of none action animes this season (except ImoCho)

No. This series is just so average. I had my hopes up because of Madhouse, and the preview, but this is one of my most dissapointed Madhouse productions I've seen.

What makes you consider it better than Noragami?

If you want a show that is at least different from others, no.
If you want a show that makes you think, no.
If you want a show that has good and fun characters, no.

If you want to switch your brain off, and enjoy something without thinking about how cliche it all is and how ridiculous and stupid the story is, this is the show for you. It can be enjoyable only if you accept the fact that the writing is meant to make you laugh or cringe.

On episode 8 and I'm losing motivation to continue so no it's not worth watching. I feel like dropping it but then there's only 4 episodes left. Decisions decisions.

I disagree. You don't like Mui's drunken voice?

@as for topic:
I think it's worth watching. The anime has 12 episodes so it's not too much to waste.

Magic aspect of the anime is very good. I liked Momoka Shijou's fights.

Main hero is kind of strong (see the first episode) but are not super strong (see episode 9).
So you won't see To love ru's main hero being saved by heroines all the time.

Aside Mui, Nanase's friends (Ida and Isoshima) are weak. They are helping Nanase, but they are not doing too much on they own.

So... show is little funny (see Mui being "drunk"), little dark (see Isoshima story, interaction with people), pure entertainment (fights), little technical (terms about magic etc), not too long (only 12 episodes?), it's not fast paced*. So, yeah, it's worth wasting your time.

* I have heard it is fast paced, but I don't think so. You got proper amount of informations per each episode. If you don't believe me, watch Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works and go back to this show.
ps. If you really want to watch F/sn: Ubw, you should play 2nd route of visual novel, because this anime is not self-sufficient, imho.

Just have to mention that the badass character designs from the novels in the trailer and the ED are not representative of what I got.
>swooning shy heroine, swooning childhood friend heroine, comic relief friend, valiant tryhard main character

Just another typical love triangle + shenanigans show.

Poor animation, terrible time skips at the worst places, seemingly random shit happening like the dragon popping out of nowhere (Or I just stopped paying attention), pointless fan service, dull heroins and hero, okayish fights, Beast ED thanks to Nano

I like to be lenient when it comes to rating but this is going down as my lowest rated show :P

I don't understand the hate. The plot moved well before the ending, animation wasn't shitty at all, fights were interesting, character development enough so that it wasn't too lacking, pretty girls and guys to gawk at, and great voice acting.

???

I mean I found the anime worth watching; I was even happy even with the cliffhanger.

It wasn't THAT bad. I watched the "last mission" hunter x hunter movie also by Madhouse and THAT was an absolute piece of crap.

But ye I'm kind of disappointed too. I only watched this anime because it was on Madhouse's production list, but I guess they can't do much if the source material is no good.
