Thoughts: 4/10 Pointless. Very lackluster humor, I don't think I laughed once watching the whole series. The character designs are unappealing, sort of like Love Live, but even less realistic. [x] Watch an ONA: Hetalia Axis Powers Thoughts: 8/10 Extremely funny, one of the few shows I prefer to watch with the English dub. [x] Watch an award-winning work: Tsumiki no Ie Thoughts: 10/10 Astonishingly good. Gorgeous art style, lovely music, and a very interesting setting. I found the emotions of the main character to be very compelling. Creators [x] Watch an anime with a character voiced by one of your favorite seiyuu: Sekkou Boys Thoughts: 6/10 St George is the best! Funny but got kinda stale for me later on. Very different from most harems. Decent ending. A bit too dark for my liking, but the writing is great and the art still holds up really well. I like how blunt the show is with its humor. [x] Watch an anime with adults as the main cast: Ojisan to Marshmallow Thoughts: 6/10 Very cute, but I got frustrated by the lack of progression. [x] Watch an anime that focuses on non-romantic relationships: Teekyu Thoughts: 6/10 This doesn't just make no sense, it aggressively rejects the very concept of sense. The lightning-fast dialogue is a little hard to follow, but it's what makes the series seem to different from other things I've seen. » Watch an anime that focuses on a couple with a romantic relationship [x] Watch an anime with children as the main cast: Yoiko Thoughts: 5/10 Why, by all that is holy, does this series not have an ecchi tag? I don't think I've ever had an ecchi show make me more consistently uncomfortable. The art style was fairly enjoyable, and some of the comedy was pretty funny, I just can't get behind the main premise of the show. [x] Watch an anime with a non-human main character: Oruchuban Ebichu Thoughts: 6/10 Very funny. I'm not super fond of the art style, except for Ebichu's design, she's adorable. [x] Watch an anime about food, music or art: Tonkatsu DJ Agetarou Thoughts: 8/10 Very enjoyable music. I feel like the art style was very well suited for the series' tone. I liked the lightning-fast pace of the dialogue. The characters are all really funny, and the show does a good job of putting them in a variety of situations. I liked that even though the characters were somewhat archetypical, I still could not always predict their behavoir. Adaptations [x] Watch an anime one-/two-/three-cours (or more) in length (easy/medium/hard): Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu Thoughts: 9/10 Fascinating story. This series does a wonderful job of accurately portraying a large-scale conflict. The soundtrack is very well suited for the tone of the narrative. There's not a whole lot of animation, it's almost an audiobook. This OVA still holds up really well though, and it's very faithful to the manga. I wish there were more than two episodes; this needs a full series. I felt like Kitano's voice actor was a little weak. He did well with the screams though. I loved the chemistry between the main characters. Honestly, even by the standards of SOL this was a little too low-key for me. It's a very fun action series.
