| I've noticed a slight disposition towards yaoi when it comes fan stuff with Attack on Titan, however Google (or if you're really brave search on DeviantArt) Gundam Wing, and still tell me if you think Attack on Titan has a lot yaoi. |

| I find them both to be somewhat shallow characters, and Eren is the more tolerable of the two for me. This is due to the fact that I find Mikasa to be an overall boring character. Her backstory was easily predicted. It felt like the writers were too lazy to come up with an actual personality for her, so they wrote a cliche tragic backstory as an "explanation" for her bland dialogue, lack of emotion, and badass fighting skills. I mean, I've still rooted for her throughout the episodes in a few choice scenes, but I can't ignore the fact that she leaves something to be desired for me. I want to like her, I love a strong female character. I keep hoping that she'll do something that will spark that excitement that everyone else seems to be experiencing, but it hasn't come yet. As for why people would prefer Eren, I guess it might be that people find him easier to relate to than Mikasa. Personally, |

| I have no problem with Mikasa when it comes to character, with the exception of how it's all about Eren in her head. I never like it when a character is entierly devoted to another in such a manner and it annoys me to no end. However, I like that Eren brushes her off because of that. Also, being able to do about anything isn't helping. If she turns into a Titan as well and kill the 60m Colossal Titan by ripping it's head off, I'll flip the table. |

Ymir/Christa is a possible canon relationship, certainly no less possible than any of the heterosexual pairings. By your reasoning then, SnK is no longer a 'normal' series, or whatever the fuck that means, or is female/female acceptable but male/male just waaay out there? Also, you seem to misunderstand what shipping is about. Shipping is not thinking that two characters are going to get together in the actual series. (Personally, I like just passively enjoying those pairings since they'll probably happen anyway). Shipping is thinking that two (or more) characters do have interesting interactions in the series and COULD make an interesting couple. It's hilarious that you find yaoi disgusting, going so far as to call it an 'infestation', when what's actually disgusting is your attitude towards it. |

| I'm a little irritated by Mikasa because she seems overly perfect. I think making the lead female perfect is not much better as making her a useless damsel. To make her so flaw free is dehumanizing and makes her hard to relate to or care about. Although this might be premature. It's still early and they may yet develop her in a more interesting way. |

| I like them both, but more Eren than Mikasa. In Eren it amazes me that he has the hatred for Titans, it's always amazing to see how the main character goes through life accepting this negative feeling, the same thrill you had watching Sasuke from Naruto or Light from Death Note. And I hope he will defeat them. Mikasa is really a great character although a bit too withdrawn for my tastes and her tsundere-ness is in conflict with her romantic conquest which is annoying, but so far I can't really say those bothered me so I like Mikasa. |

| I think Micasas obession with Eren makes perfect sense. HE IS HER WORLD. She's lost everything, twice. Eren is her only constant in life, and She will probably go on a killing spree if she looses him. Whether she kills humans or Titans really depends on which of the two is around at the time... And I'd bet her commanders know that. |

| I like both characters, but I can see why Mikasa usually gets more love than Eren. After all, Eren is not the emo, emotionless, character most fans like. I think Eren, saving for his "special ability" is a character most viewers can realate to, or at least feel certain conection. He has hatred, fear, he cries, and does his best despite the situation. While Mikasa gets lots of fan for being ultra badass, her background is too simple, and her personality is rather dull. |
