| You're for all intents and purposes not getting a virus from opening a video or image file. Large majority of the time it is people just voluntarily running executable files they voluntarily downloaded. Rarely from other exploits. I've never gotten a virus other then the ones I've intentionally installed in a VM. The guy from Nyaa who uploads the same Java virus again and again with names like "Sexy movies porno 4 u" and shit is one of them. |

| I can't even remember the last time I got a virus in general. I only recently properly installed an AV so I can block a program from doing something. Besides that, I didn't have any AV for a few years, and each time I'd install several programs to check (at separate times, of course), they'd find nothing. So either my computer is safe despite having no protection, or every AV I tested is useless. Just pay attention, then they aren't necessary. |

| The virus I got was microsoft security Suite and It fucked my computer so hard...I did a system restore like 15 times and it still didn't go away. Getting a virus is easy as shit (sorry to those who are constipated) , there are 12 files I have quarantined right now. Btw I use Avast and Malwarebytes |

You probably got a ton of bloatware that came with whatever you are using =x. System restore doesn't do anything except restore it to whatever its factory default was. I wouldn't consider it close to the level of a clean install. |
