| That's really all i want to know before deciding if i should watch this or wait, I know story above gore and all but those black fogs and white beam censors are annoying as hell and would rather wait till the blu rays before watching if its censored |

| I think they are kinda censoring it by not showing completely some things, but it's done in a subtle way. There's nothing like the black fog or white beams. |

| The Titan's do not have huge schlongs (sad, i know) so there's nothing to censor. Oh and there's a lot of blood! |

As of now though from the first episode we can see they're definitely not afraid to show some blood, but as for the rest who knows. |

| Theres lots of blood but also some smart censoring but nothing to be worried. Its pure epic 1 episode of 20min, you wont loose much watching it yourself. |

| well, they didn't really show the mom's body being "eaten" she was just tossed in the mouth, and made a squish sound, then the camera followed the blood drops. i don't think they censored it, but I don't think they will animate it where it will be too gruesome, like in the manga where you can see the internal organs. I think they will ease it a little, without the annoying censoring |
| In the manga, Eren's mom was shown being crushed before she got eaten. And there was a graphic shot of her limbs protruding from the giant's mouth, if memory serves. So, just from ep1, it's clear there's going to, at the very least, be some subtle edits they attempt to tone it down. But that's to be expected of a TV adaptation. There's just no way some of the stuff could be shown. |

| It does have its censored scenes, for example when the giant broke Eren's mother body it didn't showed the scene. I also heard it has more gore scenes in the manga, but for the first episode it was gruesome enough for me. |

| Regarding the censorship of the anime, do you think it would be possible for them to censor it as well as Fate/Zero? Being an anime-only watcher, I was surprised to hear that the anime actually censored a lot of gory stuff that was described in the light novels and only put in the BDs, but it didn't really feel censored on the aired episodes, and it still gave the impact that a lot of people wanted to be shown from the light novels. |

| There's no censoring like in the last episode in Crime Edge, if this is what you ask. Some transformations are done ...: 1) Hannah, trying to revive Franz (different angles, same meaning). 2) The other is Eren-titan knocking-off the head of the deviant, who was after Mikasa - iirc, the manga shows his head flying to a tower and breaking into (two mostly) pieces upon the impact; the anime shows the same scene with the head spinning in the air and getting rammed inside the tower. The titan's face is shown in the window pane. Episode 2 contains extra scenes of the attack of the titans in Shiganshina. 3) An insignificant cut in a yuri scene later, without consequences - the meaning is delivered through speech. 4) In the last episode, the heap of human remains that titans regurgitate is enveloped in yellow-greenish saliva with a fly on it (close-up); in the manga, the heap is smaller and shows humans boiled to their bones and skulls. ... out of 13 episodes. Some of the chapters are shuffled, some scenes slightly modified, for the purpose of building character developments or changing part of the time-line (compared to the manga), but they are not gore/censorship-related. The deaths and the fights are preserved equally gory for humans and titans (as of now). I may have forgotten something, but the adaptation is certainly close to the manga in this respect. |
| I wouldnt say its censored per-se, but a lot of "gory scenes" have been died down in the anime. eg. and But comparing it to the manga again, in the manga they show titans, eating humans (no shit) but in various ways, like nibbling on their heads and eating the middles, where as in the anime they show humans about the be eaten. but then kind of die it down by either putting the whole human in the mouth and pretty much swallow or just cut to another angle. But imo the anime is not censored.. yet :P but you can say it is if you compare it to the manga.(But im kinda disappointed in the anime, because i was hoping it would be elfen lied/beserk gore standard paralleling the manga, but got my hopes up.) |
