Wow Awesome chapter!!!

Glad that Mogammet used the weapon of mass destruction, because if he didn't Aladdin would've started to fight for Magnoshutatt. But now he probably won't.

Last 2 pages were EPIC!!! Finalis BAness :)

Gooo Laem!!!

Reunion should be coming soon...Can't wait.

Way to go Mogammet. You ensured Aladdin will never fight for you. Also Sphintus I'm disappointed in your naivety. Mogamett was the one to declare war on Laem.

Another intense awesome chapter, this is how war should be. That said though I'm a bit worried that the Fanalis will get trolled since they came out "early", they better match the hype, next chapter should be them owning everybody, since that has been the pattern for this war as it has gone back and forth.

Looking forward to seeing Alibaba fight though, It's likely still a few chapters away but if the Fanalis are fighting he can't be to far behind.

A war for the sake of a single person. While admirable it is naive and to put it bluntly, stupid. You think any of those mages are going to be happy for Titus among them when the Fanalis are tearing them and their precious contruct to pieces?

Man, the war sure is fast paced. Both sides are already pulling out their best cards. Wonder how Fanalis will fare up against Magician. Do they have enough strength to break the bolg with their bare fist?

Mogamette explained Titus's situation to the magicians beforehand and they went to war knowing full well the consequences and Scheherazade is just using Titus as an excuse to invade, she would've eventually have invaded as she wants the Kou empire which is beyond Magnoschtadt. (ch 166)

That was while they believed they were top dogs. The moment they start losing hard and their image of supremacy crumbles, they will turn on Titus and his only friend will be Mogamet and those close to him.

^I'd laugh if that really happened because it'd undoubtedly prove how weak and hypocritical the magicians' resolve is. That said, I don't expect it to happen since I do believe in their determination to protect Magnostadt and its citizens (which Titus is a part of).
Just to make it clear, I only commend their strong will and idealism of wanting to protect the citizens, but not their means of doing so. Genocide is wrong, no matter how you look at it.

Having will and determination is easy when you think your power is unbeatable. Look at the soldiers blindly looking to the Mage generals. Their belief will only hold as long as their power holds. Once that is beaten it's over.

That will ultimately be proven once the mentioned incident takes place. At that time we will see what the soldiers and magicians of Magnostadt are really made of.

its actually hard to pick a side in this war. in the end he may not fight for either side. both of are displaying what inevitably happens in a struggle of weapons of war.

in war, one must eliminate the enemy or come to a resolution. mass destruction or not is merely a means to an end. anyone on the battlefield is subject to get killed. how it happens is besides the point. the right or wrongness of genocide is decided after the fight is over and from that point onwards.

This author is seriously amazing, she makes you go back and forth between the two sides. At the beginning of this chapter, I totally could see why Sphintus would want to help out in the war because of the people they know are getting hurt and are fighting will all their power. But I agree that he is very naive, because I think if he was not a magician and instead part of Laem, he would feel the same way seeing the people he knew getting hurt. And after that crazy weapon of mass destruction made by the chancellor, I'm sure there's no way Aladdin would help out Mogamett. Seriously, he and his superiority complex when he said "the things frantically created by the goi's pitiful brains" is just..fuck you Mogamett. He's just discriminating against them and nothing more.

....lol what kind of argument is that, as far as I know that hasn't happened yet nor do I think it ever will, Mogamette while may hate and see the GOI as nothing more than trash, truly loves and treasures all magicians as Aladdin said...

Besides, if Mogamette didn't declare war and gave Titus back to Laem, Scheherazade would've still eventually have invaded them as she is focused on the Kou empire that lies beyond Magnoschtadt (ch 166). Thus this war was inevitable Titus or not.

Dude nothing like that has happened yet in the manga, you should wait a couple weeks before making this argument(where it MAY happen), all it is right now is a baseless prediction from you on how magicians will react. It doesn't prove your argument whether his declaration of war was justified or not, for now all the magician's in Mogamette care sees this as an action worthy of the consideration of being "just" (as do I).

I don't understand! What genocide are you talking about?! It wasn't some innocent civilians, it was an invading forces! He still did it for protection of his people! It's not genocide, it's a war!

I could've understand all this talk about genocide if he nuked their cities, but this... Yes, it was cruel and inhumane, but it was still directed at enemy soldiers, not innocent people...

I still don't see genocide here. He attacked invading army to protect his people! What do you think Reim(Laem) Empire will do with the mages if they'll win? They are here to conquer Magnostadt, it's a war!..

Here's the kicker, the Chancelor sees magicians as the top race so the goi getting wiped out by him is a genocide.

Yes, he is racist. But he doesn't want to destroy all goi. As Aladdin realised sometime ago he doesn't really care about goi, he just tries to create a world where magicians rule everything. He doesn't try to kill goi just because they are goi, he kills them because it's an enemy army and he has to put safety of his own citizens before his enemies, goi or not...

I don't think you understand. Scheherazade doesn't want the Kou empire at all.
She has no aspiration of conquering the Kou empire's territories.

She just sees that the Kou empire is expanding and growing and trying to take over the world along with the help of "that organization". She sees that is unavoidable that the Kou empire will at some moment arrive at their door step so she wants to stop them from getting any more power. Magnostadt is in the middle of the two empires. If Kou gets them and their power the next step is attacking Reim. So Sheherazade acted first in trying to get Magnostadt and make the plans of the Kou empire harder.

If Mogammet had any brain on him he would have accepted her offer to join Reim since they don't have discrimination policies against magicians and they are not influenced by the organization but his a fool that let his Goi hate get him trying to fight everyone.

He knew very well the Kou empire will attack him. They told him so. He could have given Titus to her and try to make some good negotiation with her on how Magnostadd could become part of the Reim empire but while keeping certain rights as a magician town etc so his dream wouldn't be completely dead. Sheherazade will have most likely agree to certain compromises since she will love having Magnostadts power working with her against the Kou empire that sees as the ultimate threat.
Yet he screwed everything up because his hate for Goi status vs Magisian is bigger than simply giving magicians a safe place.

It seems like Aladdin is often forced to deal with situations he never imagined could happen. It's somewhat impressive that he remains a bit childish and naïve. But, with all the evil and destruction he's been facing lately, I feel like any number of events could end up pushing him in the same direction as Judal. Hopefully he doesn't become too burdened by despair.

Chancellor over here with a Mech that can fire concentrated blasts of magic. Though, what's more insane is it seems like the Fanalis blocked the second blast with a rock. Shit is about to go down.
