Clannad the first season is considered harem anime cause Tomoya raised flags to all the girls he encountered. But finally he stayed with Nagisa. "The most distinguishable trait is arguably the group of girls who accompany, and in some instances cohabitate with the boy, and while intimacy is just about customary, it is never necessary; when it is present, there must be a minimum of three girls who express it, otherwise two is a love triangle" We barely had two love triangles in SAO(till volume 8).Both times those girls gave up.I dont know what happens after volume 8 but till then Silica,Lizbet,Shino,Suguha either gave up or were never shown to have romantic feelings for Kirito. If an anime is labeled as a harem just because the MC is surrounded by females for whatever reason except trying to win him over then a lot of anime should be called harems. Maybe I will change my mind when I resume reading SAO but till now it isnt a harem. Just goes to show that, to the general watchers, SAO is becoming predictable with the girls coming left and right. See a girl in the preview? She's going to have something to do with Kirito. It's becoming the norm 50% if not more percent of the time. Also, despite not reading the LN, I already know about ALO. I don't know WHAT it is other than the fact that it's another RPG game world and it involves magic rather than dueling with swords, etc. I find that kind of annoying. It's inevitable for someone who has not read the LN to find out about ALO sooner or later through the forums or even comments on streaming websites. It's kind of a spoiler in a way. That ruins a bit of the fun for me and possibly other people who have not read the novels :( But, then again, we can't blame the people who already read the LN, they just won't put spoiler tags because now almost everyone is aware of ALO existing in the series. Not sure if this means they DO escape SAO or if ALO is still a part of SAO. |

| So many haters on SAO. It's the guys opinion, get over it. Personally I love SAO but is it the smartest or greatest animes of all time the answer is no. It's funny how some of you say its overrated but I bet your still watching it just to continue to bitch about it since you have nothing better to do. And to people saying GC is better than SAO you're crazy. SAO's story actually makes sense unlike GC. |

| Has anyone that is bothered by his claim asked him what other anime he has recently watched? "Sword Art Online Is the Smartest Anime I’ve Seen in Years" really depends on what he has seen and not just the quality(Which clearly his opinion is going to be higher then the opinion of a hater) of the anime. |

They introduced 4 different girls (sachi, silica, liz, asuna) and each of them has their own story and screen time together with the main character. And a series which (will) has 3 girls confess their love to mc. (we gonna see lyfa confesses later on ALO part). It's not just me who see harem elements in this SAO anime. |

Even when Yui appeared they added her in the "harem girls".Before they even see ep12 ,Yuriel was also added to the harem. Pretty much what the anime has shown for us, they are not wrong. Sachi in episode 3 Silica in episode 4 Liz beth 7 And now Asuna is officially his waifu. The anime makes SAO looks like a harem series. And even if you count Silica,Liz an Sacchi it's 3 eps out of 13 till now. If we were in ALO and we were talking about Lyfa I would understand the reasoning behind this. If a girl talking to the MC means that she loves him then why dont we add the redhaired female player and Yoruko to the harem? technically yes if the story revolves around different female characters paired up with Kirito. See what I mean when I say many, if not most, SAO fans don't mind spoiling parts because they think it's ok and everyone 'already knows' anyway? Not that it matters, I'm not surprised at all that two or even 50 girls confess to Kirito with the way things are going... |

Only Liz, Asuna and Lyfa How many girls have feelings for him do you think to make SAO become officially a harem anime? Tell me? Just only 3 girls fall in love with him isn't enough to make it a harem? Lol, then you need to learn the term harem, again. Right now it's pretty much has harem elements when a bunch of girls were introduced and more than half of them develop romantic feelings for Kirito. If Sachi was still alive, do you think that she would just let other girl steal Kirit away from her? Nope. ( and who knows she would become kirito's gf later on?) And please, the anime didn't even focus on Sachi x Kirito relationship aspect so audiences didn't know the feeling she had for kirito was whether a family relationship or lover relationship (cause they shared the same bed, they were strangers and they slept together, that's what the anime showed us ). |

| Most of us are not suggesting that SAO is a harem anime. But you cannot deny the fact that most of the players Kirito has interacted with so far are female. FEMALE. Women. Girls. Of ages. Not all of them have him as a romantic interest, but that doesn't change the fact that Kirito is one chick magnet. I'm expecting even more female characters to debut in the future, with at least one or two being significant to Kirito's so-called "harem". |

Did the reviewer even see Steins;Gate or PMMM? If he hasn't even seen them then his claim is true and if he has seen them then maybe, just maybe he thinks SAO was smarter than both. That "game" has the tagline "You can't cancel what was never planned in the first place". Just created because they took forever and I believe they are still dragging it out. (They even prioritised what is literally FFXIII-3 before it, with announcement and alpha runs already on the loose.) People's opinions will always remain people's opinions. You can disagree, you can attempt to change it if you know them, but to flame them is wrong. Sometimes I think the internet should require some sort of etiquette certificate that needs to be regularly re-registered for users, so it will be a nicer place. (Of course it won't, it compromises the freedom, but the thought of that making the internet a legitimately nicer place is still a nice dream.) |

| I find it funny we have already established that the author has not watched enough anime to accurate judge SAO as how good anime it is, but yet we find issues with him saying stuff like "SAO is smartest Anime" when we ALREADY know he doesn't watch enough anime and tends to make sweeping statements based on past records. Shouldn't the correct action be "Ignore this unqualified guy's opnions", rather than "WTFBBQ DID HE SAY?" |

| If you have an opinion, you should be able to support it with facts. Otherwise, it is a, and I dare to say this, stupid opinion. I'm not saying that opinions can't be subjective. If he has actual reasons as to why he doesn't like the villain, I can't say he is wrong. But it kind of helps others see your point if you include your reasons. Saying "SAO is bad.
