| Just because he's an old school male lead, and because he's not one of a kind, doesn't mean I can't hate his guts for being a bastard. lol It's not like I ignore that he likes Kotoko, and that he tries to keep a reputation, and that he teases Kotoko. I didn't mind it up to this point, and hell, the girl sometimes is really, really stupid, I don't blame him for teasing her. And I love some teasing. But he just humiliated her for the sole purpose of... what, keeping an image about his friends? No, I just can't take it lightly. I'll be waiting anxiously to see how, and if, he's going to redeem himself. |

I love watching him go back and forth between acting sort of how he wants people to percieve him and semi showing his feelings to kotoko. Didn't you see how he got upset when Kotoko said she'd give up and him? of course he didn't want her to give up on him, so he kissed her. It was so cute. Yeah, he's being sort of obnoxious to her, but it's sort of his reputation and he just has a really cold personality in general. I really like how his character is developing though. Okay, so maybe Irie and Kotoko are reminding me a lot of the initial dynamic between Yuu and Miki in marmalade boy. Yuu really liked miki, but instead he teases her and stuff to the point where when he tells her he likes her, she thinks it a joke. I just see Kotoko and Irie's relationship really similar, so I really dont see Irie as a bad guy here. Anyway. Kin was SO HYSTERICAL this episode. I seriously could NOT stop laughing during his song. And both kotoko and kin's dreams were too funny. And I love how the mom joined the girls in watching Irie reject girls. too funny. great episode. Agreed with everything you said. Irie has been like that all his life, but at least he's changing little by little. Yeah, his comments inside the restaurant are really harsh and I hate him for it too but apparently, he enjoys teasing her because he likes her. Kotoko is just too funny. I will definitely enjoy their second kiss because this one was plain awesome. |

| This may be how Irie is, but it's not the right way to go about things. He likes Kotoko, but can't find it in himself to tell her properly because he's too proud. So when it looks like he's about to lose her, he kisses her to keep her fantasizing over him until HE'S good and ready to tell her that her feelings aren't one-sided? Oh please. I hope she moves on and let him sweat it out for once. He deserves so much more than the picture trick she pulled at the resturant. I don't dislike Irie at all, but his methods are less than appealing. Don't play with a girl like that. |
| It's pretty hard to say what I think about Kotoko and Irie after watching this episode and reading through the thread. I'm going to just keep watching and see how things unfold. As Cyruz said, this episode was awfully average until the very end. |
| Absolutely enjoyed the hilarity of this episode. Irie's mother objection = threw me in tears. If they managed to do such a great job with this episode, I can alreay imagine the tennis training/ aftermath. Very much looking forward to seeing the rest. |

| Very obviosly Irie starts caring of Kotoko's love. This can tell when Kotoko said "I have decided stop loving you just like graduation...." Since then, Irie seems panic and plays his "dirty trick" to give a kiss to Kotoko (scene where every teenage girls dream for).... Ha! Irie kun hotoni ijiwarui... Well, upto episode 7, does Irie has "love" feeling towards Kotoko. If yes, since when? Since Kotoko moved into his house? Since Irie read Kotoko's love letter? Anyway, I really looking forward the story, a handsome & self-centered guy loves a girl in very very "different" way. Kasumi |

| I was really not expecting that kind of ending! I thought it was just going to be an average episode but it was actually alright with a really good ending. It's only the 7th episode so there's still so much more to come! Kin-chan is also really starting to bug me.... but what can you do about it?..... |

| this episode was good, i loved kotoko's dreams xD seems like kotoko got to know irie's friend. poor kotoko at the ceremony, everything went wrong xD kin needs to die, seriously. lol @ irie's mother joining with the girls, and checking up on girls hitting on irie xD once again, kin needs to die. kin's song was amusing, but it was stupid... i really want him to disappear. irie was also acting like a jackass. but he got what he deserved, public humiliation. even though the kiss was cute, the situation was not really xD so, itazura na kiss? what a way to contradict what the other person wants xD next episode, college? |

| First off Kin needs to die. Hopefully he won't show up much more since they are going to college and he isn't. Second, I loved the ending. No matter how much of a bastard Irie is I still like the thought of him being together with Kotoko and can't wait to see them progress. |

| That was another good episode. Mother was great again. But he is such an ashole. To say all those things in front of everyone. Though she was good at striking back. The kiss was a bit expected, but it was not really an honest kiss. It was kind of revenge for her showing the photo. But you could imagine that he didn't mean it 100% evil. |

| It's unbeareble to see how Kotoko follows Irie with admiration all over the place, how he surpasses the lines of what you call teasing so easily and that he can just do EVERYTHING! More than once I've had the urge to yell at my screen that Kotoko should leave the bastard allone. >.> But still...it's fun and hillarious and sweet. Everytime you see his eyes widen in realization that he likes her more and more. >.< I want them to be a couple!!!!! And yes...Kin needs to die or movie to the end of the world. Don't want him in the series anymore. He's plain annoying. |

| well, i did nt read the manga, so i thought what happened was kind of... random. lol. it was quite cute, though. and kin is starting to get me nervous... i liked him around episode one, but now his attitude is just over the top. lol, my favorite part of this ep was when kotoko showed everyone iries picture. I was just thinking, "well, there nothing she can really say to burn Irie back... crap, shes gonna look like a loser," and then BAM. I started laughing, take that, irie! SHAFTED! :P |

| I don't want Irie's personality to change completely, but Kotoko really needs to develop a bit of backbone. Her brief flashes of standing up for herself never seems to last more than a minute. And then she's just all jelly legs and heart eyes again. So yes, let him continue to be a smug jerk, but at least let Kotoko give him some of his own medicine... This was one of the funnier episodes in the series so far. Kotoko's antics during the graduation ceremony made me laugh out loud. Kin is over the top as usual but I kinda enjoyed the whole serenading her and rushing off in mid-song. And the kiss? Urgh, I just want to wipe the smug little look he gives afterwards right off his face. But I can't lie, I did get a little thrill from watching it. :D |
