| Still Lucci is pretty much twice as strong as Kaku who is second, and Spandam with 9. All in all the CP9 while villains are still very entertaining, makes this arc all the better, I hated Enel alot in Skypiea, I somewhat liked Crocodile in Arabasta. |

| i didn't expect cp9 to be such jokers. i loved the rankings as well - a bit implausible that the round guy could do it, but put in because viewers thrive on this stuff. the only thing is that the straw hats were so thoroughly beaten, i hope there's a realistic way they've somehow powered up since then. |

| The battle with the giants was everything I could have asked for, every move was planned, they new exactly how to take them both out efficiently and it wasn't all left to luck. I think I'd have rather seen them take down the other giant as well instead of watching Miss Priss snipe about sexual harassment and some annoying skit. Will the CP9 be slipping on banana peels next? Hurry up and finish them Luffy! |

| I’m super glad this episode had like 20% of the recap last episode did. And more original content within the recap itself of course. As much as I wanted someone who knew the true legendary giants Dorry and Brogy to show these scum giants what’s up, seeing the Frankies and Galley-la team up to destroy them and open those doors was awesome. Especially when they first showed up on their rides to save the day. I knew the shipwrights especially would be able to deal some serious damage. The bigger they are the harder they fall. A line Lucci gave to Spandam interested me. “Robin who was involved in the incident where navy battle ships were attacked in Ohara”. It made me realize that when she was a wanted 8 year old it was probably because not only did she escape buster call, but she fought back and took on those ships that we’ve heard about. Franky and Robin are both here because they fought back against this corrupt government. :( Seeing her reminiscence over being happy with her nakama really was hard on muh heart. You can’t blame her for feeling as though she herself is a sin and a curse to those she loves. Frog zipper CP9 man bounced around using some kind of competition devil fruit power or some other kind of skill. At first I was okay with it because I thought it was like a strongman carnival game and was measuring their physical power. In that case it was cool to have power levels because they didn’t account for smarts or fighting style. There were many intricacies to this, from what I mentioned and who they fight against. Their styles could excel or struggle depending on the opponents. However, it was brought up that he was measuring their martial arts level level, and not just their raw strength. I can’t say I like this though because, although I can’t criticize that it doesn’t make sense because devil fruit powers are wild, having bigger and stronger enemies introduced to compensate for other less stronger villains was already too much. Having a literal power level tree that’s factual seems to be going in the direction of might is right. Jabra had a good point though, it doesn’t detect devil fruit powers strength, nor does it really detect their wisdom. And I don’t think any one fighting style is better than another in every way so all should still excel in one way or another. It’s fun to speculate if someone such as Eneru would score lower than someone like Arlong when Eneru’s strength came mostly from his devil fruit, and Arlong didn’t even have one. I seem to recall Arlong being called 10x the strength of a normal man so I wonder if he’s somewhere around level 100. Another thing to keep in mind is sure, Lucci may be the strength of a million men, but Luffy is taking down like 500 without sweating so, our Straw Hats have to be up there too. It’s also interesting to note Jabra and Lucci’s relationship. Both seem to have an opposite animal transformation as seen from the implied dialogue, and the fact we’ve already seen Lucci’s. “Don’t listen to a stray dog” meaning I assume Jabra will be a werewolf type dog man. I really hate the yayoi guy. He’s so obnoxious. Next episode will have the train rocking through with samurai man on the helm to cut his way through, that should be great. |
| It was really cool seeing the Franky Family and the Galley-La Foremen use some effective teamwork to take down those giants. Nailing one of their faces to the wall looks painful as fuck though. It was pretty interesting to find out about the respective power levels of the members of CP9. I was very surprised towards Kaku being a lot more powerful than Blueno but considering how he almost had his Iron Body broken by Sanji's kick, it's understandable that the latter would be weaker. They'll all get Devil Fruits so I'm both excited and worried for things to come. Luffy's mowing through them with no problem after all lmao Chopper's voice is back! |

| Man some of CP9 are wild. Still think it should just be the orginal 4. Did find some funny moments. I also I’d love to see that power scale for everyone in the show. Also bravo to the shipwrights and franky crew. Didn’t think they be able to take down a giant but they did. |
| So where shall we begin? We got some pretty cool double teaming with the Frankies and the Shipwrights ultimately overwhelming the two giants ultimately opening the second gate, Luffy continuing to wipe the floor with the Marines further ahead though I must say Spandem’s gonna be in for an awful surprise when he finds out Luffy actually took out the entirety of the guards outside. Speaking of CP9, we apparently have a power ranking thing which then ultimately led to a shout out reference to DBZ with Phil Parsons saying a similar line as Jabra that he once said as Nappa giving a bit of an actor allusion here. Honestly thought a lot of CP9 would be serious like Lucci’s gang but I guess I’m wrong on that one. It was really funny when Kalifa was accusing Spandem of sexual harassment for virtually everything he did. XD Can’t say I’m enjoying Kumadori that much, he’s very obnoxious I will say. Next episode will bring the rest of the Straw Hats to Enies Lobby with Rocketman, Zorro is on the helm and ready for action so things should be good for the next episode. Otherwise pretty good stuff once again. |
