| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- And Black Lagoon is back in is usual fashion and as awesome as always !( /^ω^)/ Was totally surprised when I checked today's TV programme, and saw "BLACK LAGOON" written there. I somehow was under the impression that the episodes would be released on DVD/BD only and not broadcasted. It's been a while since I read the chapters animated, but as far as I can remember, it was a very well done adaptation of the manga material. Also, the production values were great, with some super fluid action scenes. And most of all, finally I got to see the animated Fabiola, being just as awesome and cute as I expected her to be. :3 Can't wait for the next episode, and for the climax of this arc already. ^^ |

If you think Fabiola's intro is "newer" chapters, you're not keeping up with the Black Lagoon manga. The "real" newer chapters introduce a hacker who used to work for the Chinese military. |

| the only reason i could come up with for why nobody has subbed this yet.. is that the DVD/Blu-ray release is the 17th of July... if that is true we have to wait for atleast 2½ weeks : / |

| A couple of weeks ago I would have guessed this would be subbed in a matter of hours after its release given how anxiously and how long people have been waiting for it. I guess the speedsubbers are busy and the rest are waiting for the blu-ray. |

| Yeah, I just watched the sub too and it was quite good (the subs, the episide was awesome ^^). Roberta seems to have gone a bit crazy though, and drug addict(?) ^^. It looked like an Asian country, but Roberta is Hispanic. Also, it's set It's 26 years before present story time, not long enough for Vietnam. Perhaps military action in Nicaragua? |

It was Vietnam, it's stated in the beginning as "Quang Province, Vietnam 1969" I think you guys are just getting confused because of the little girl; she wasn't Roberta, that flashback was focusing on the guy with the cowboy hat who later because the Lt. that was in charge of the bombing mission. And 26 years makes perfect sense since the story's setting is suppose to be the 1990s, putting 26 years at 1995. |

| The start was a bit sloppy joining up the flashbacks, but the rest was great, so I think it's a faithful adaptation. Chibi maid was a bit chibier and more dark skinned than i imagined. Still cool as fuck! I hope the BDrip will have superior quality. |

| It's already licensed in America, which is pretty neat. I was at Anime Expo today and actually saw their showing of this episode and it had a few extra minutes more than the ANBU fansub, which I guess is based off a TV edit. |
