Good to see everyone again, and Suika did amazing. But now there’s a new problem. I don’t think it’s smart to tell people the Medusa can bring back the dead, especially if Xeno finds out once he’s unpetrified. And then... a spaceship?? Kinda feels like jumping the shark, but I guess they planned to go to the moon before even reaching America. North America was for corn, South America for semiconductors or something like that.

I get that this is the finale and things need to wrap up, but wow, the pacing went into overdrive. There’s so much ground to cover, but they could’ve easily slowed down and given us more development. It just makes the whole seven year war thing and time skip feel pointless tbh, and the whole “good vs evil science” thing is a bit too edgy for my liking idk.

Still, that’s all setup for the next, and final, cour. Can’t believe it’s almost over honestly, what a journey it’s been. And yeah, this season was easily the best since season one btw.

It’s reached that point where it’s so baffling it doesn’t even register as baffling anymore. Like, Suika spent seven years making enough revival fluid for one guy, while Senku blinked twice and brewed up enough to wake a whole village in a couple of weeks. That’s not even a flex at this point, that’s just the “you’re either built for science or you’re not” meme in real time lmaoo. Still, Suika’s entire lonely grind was emotional. Was easily some of the best chapters in the manga, and yeah, the anime nailed it too.

Now sure, entrusting the literal fate of humanity to Suika feels like the world’s worst gamble. Out of all the people, she’s the last one you’d leave holding the bag, but hey, gotta hand her some spotlight too. They’ve lined things up cleanly for the final cour, by literally covering so much.. but yeah, it wasn't so much, it's just couple of chapters in the manga lol. Seriously, as much as I want to see how this wraps up, part of me doesn’t want the ride to end either. Anyway, best season/part/arc/whatever yet. Now the wait.

Go to bed, Chrome, you're drunk. Not sure how I feel about the Medusa being a literal, outright Immortality Device now. Things like that are always too convenient a plot device to clumsily(/egregiously) fill plot holes and conveniently move things forward without much thought - cue whoever should be dead here.

Whatever's coming next, I'm just apprehensive. There's so much involved in building a spaceship - and to even get to this point took how many seasons? Then the whole part to actually get to the Moon, to find our Main Villain™️, to have them introduced - how, why, when, everything... and somehow, supposedly, still have to "beat" 'em, whatever that may entail? Gonna be some giant leapfrogs there, meaning the pacing's gonna be all over the place. At the very least. That's if there's no other Surprise Plot Twist™️ ahead.

Unequivocally the best Dr. Stone season ever bar none. This was simply incredible, I cried every week for the last month or so because of the emotional moments! Every episode just got better and better down the stretch and that’s an awesome way to end things off and set us up for the final part of the story. In the end, Senku’s scientific philosophy won out. Science is for everyone.

“I’m about the same age as you now Kohaku” 😭 Dr. Stone not make me cry this season challenge. Give Suika infinite headpats for being the bestest girl and succeeding in the most crucial task of this entire series so far, bringing everyone back from petrification. Just seeing the gang gradually be revived was so cathartic because she’s been alone for all these years and it’s easy to talk about it, but imagine genuinely not talking to anyone for SEVEN years. The lonely nights, winters, not having anyone to rely on but herself and she made it work. She’s my hero.

So we know petrification can bring recently deceased people back to life, but I love how Tsukasa and Senku tell chrome to not open his mouth about it because that truly is something that could be dangerous if it became widespread knowledge when humanity is fully revived. I laughed when they said an absolute dictator would use that to rule with fear when that’s literally what Xeno’s plan was, but the fact they let him in on the secret shows how much Senku trusts him lol

Speaking of which, I really love how readily Xeno agreed to help Senku in exchange for Stanley. He might come off like it, but Xeno isn’t pure evil he really does care about his friend and he’s willing to pay any price to bring him back. Same thing Senku would do for Tsukasa, further solidifying their parallels. I never peeped when reading this arc that this is like how the allies had former Nazi’s help with the moon rocket program, except this time it’s the axis(Japan) beating the Americans lol.

Operation moon shot is officially underway, I can’t wait to see all the build up and rocket program development. I have full faith in the staff to go above and beyond and give us a very memorable experience.

The hype is so real right now. Now with everybody here, we can finally defeat Why-Man. Still interested in how they're gonna solve to eternal immortality though. My commitment to this show is paying off so much now. LET'S GOOOOOOO!!! Great ending to a great season.

Best season since season 1, possibly better too. Lots of emotions from the last 6 episodes from the characters and us the audience.

Particularly like when the guards were done shooting them all up back in America you see a look of dismay at what they "needed" to do. Its suble but it explained why their was always a delay in shooting them up. They didn't do it until baldy yelled out orders.

The last 3 was just an incredible depiction of loneliness and perseverance, im not easily moved but I found these suika episodes incredibly touching. Most I've been in this series for such a consistent amount of episodes usually it was the mile stones.

This reunion was something else, this show might be one of the best in anime when it comes to its cast of character's, youd never care as much if they each didn't have so much narrative weighy and depth.
Authentic.

We've finally (3700 years, lol) got the scientist duo heading for the same goal. Rocket plan won't be taking too long anymore, I suppose. Space travel to come? At this point, it seems like the show will get me invested no matter what it's doing. I've heard that the events to come are possibly the weakest the series has to offer so I'm not sure how I feel about that just yet but I'll be keeping a keen eye to see how this glorious journey comes to an end nevertheless.

Confirmed hypothesis - It prevents death? I'm not sure I wanted that info, tbh. Reminds me of Attack on Titan's titan source reveal, sometimes not knowing these things actually helps because no matter how you put it, it's almost always going to disappoint honestly. It's interesting they came up with that analogy of a new dystopian world in that way, I would've never thought of that far ahead xD but it makes total sense oddly enough. Immortality is in no way a nice treatment by any means, and Why-Man came up with truly the worst means already with the petrification but add immortality on top of it which takes the hatred (must be, right?) to a whole new level. Letting Xeno know about it is an interesting gamble but what happens after Why-Man is taken care of? I guess you can't be thinking of that far just yet though, eh?

Suika-chan and Kohaku's embrace got me tearin' up a little, yikes. It's kind of crazy to think that they're about the same age now. Suika finally having food with another human and her coming to terms with that was touching as heck. Leaving Stanley behind just for insurance purposes or so I'm guessing is a good call, I suppose.

It was a fantastic season all round. Best season since Season 1 is my immediate feeling but I'll wait on this for a bit first. And it's impressive that the Op and ED are on the top of their mark too!

Of course they aren't going to be building the rocket with just their scrappy team. Even with Xeno on side. The metallurgy alone is going to take a pretty big workforce from mining to smelting to the eventual construction. This isn't some backyard rocket club we are taking about. At a minimum they are going to have to build a Saturn V rocket from scratch. Additionally while that is going on they will also have to race back to Japan and revive their friends and comrades as well. One way I think they could get a head start on things is to return to America and use Xeno's base to build airplanes capable of crossing the Pacific ocean, that would speed up the timeline considerably if they aren't constrained by the time it takes to sail halfway around the world.

Dr. Stone is one of the very rare anime to fit all of these following criterias: 1. Excellent 2. Suitable for all ages 3. Suitable for people that rarely watch anime

And also a bonus criteria: Shippable, I mean the fact that in this episode, Senku discuss the most important topic with Tsukasa alone near the river at night (until Chrome interrupt their moment) and Xeno almost kiss petrified Stanley. It can't be more obvious than this!!!!

It's the anime that celebrate humanity, scientific community working together with no border regardless of their background, this is what the world needs right now.

@Nerdason YEAH I was like "HUH??? ARE THEY???" I know it's not specified, and I don't really ship anyone in this series, but sometimes I wonder if Xeno and Stanley actually have romantic feelings for each other. It's either that or some INSANE bromance.

I feel like this week's episode didn't live up to the absolute emotional impact the last episode had. It had some good moments, especially with Suika and Kohaku, but otherwise it felt more or less like an average Dr. Stone episode, and not necessarily like a season finale.

I've had a super hard time deciding how to rate this season, considering how bland the first half was, and how strong the final 4-5 episodes have been. If it had stayed on the level of the first time all the way through, I'd probably have given it a 7/10, but if a larger portion of the season had been on the level of the latter part, it could have been as good as New World part 2 imo (which I gave a 9/10).

In the end I ended up giving it a 8/10 which feels fair considering the lows and highs more or less cancel each other out, but it does feel a bit sad to "only" give an 8 to the season with my favorite episode of the entire show.

Would have loved for Suika Stone to go on for a bit longer personally, but I also get why it didn't.

Suika, you did very well dayo~!!

That was a really great finale for this season, what a way to end it.
I really thought that Hyoga was already dead (well he was!), and expected something of a farewell for this episode– but, heck it was a set up for another game changing revelation. The Medusa has the ability to revive the dead? though seriously, I think it only heals a body from fatal injuries but can't stop death from old age.

Final part of the series next year! I will be there!

We got another shocking new revelation about the medusa being a device that brings back even people from dead but still not sure if it prevents aging as well.
Finally, we have reached the point where Senku and the science team build a Rocket and reach the moon.
Can't wait to see who's Whyman and what his motives are..
I hope we get the final cour in 3-4 months.

One by one, they all came back. <3 Ngl I teared up when Suika revived Kohaku. It was very emotional. But it's kinda funny how Kohaku was the only one to get a proper outfit while everyone else got leaves lol.

So they finally addressed the elephant in the room. The revival fluid can literally cure death. On the one hand, this is something scientists have been after for literally ages. On the other hand, it raises serious ethical questions. I wonder what Senku is going to do. I feel like at some point, he's gonna have to address whether petrification devices should stay or be destroyed for good. Even if he keeps them, he can't keep their property a secret forever. So the only option would be to somehow modify it to so it can't revive the dead which I don't think he can do.

With Xeno back it's finally time to make a ship that can take them to the moon. The next cour will air next year. Yeah I already expected this. But I was still lowkey hoping it'd be next season. Oh well. I already expected this so I'm not really disappointed. They didn't announce the season yet. I thought it'd be Winter 2026 for sure. But I don't mind if they take longer to do the season justice. It's the final season after all. Although it's far from perfect, I'm gonna miss Dr. STONE. I just hope the last part will take things a bit slowly and bring back some of the magic from Season 1.

Loved this season dearly, we're lucky to have a studio that stays so faithful to the manga every step of the way.

Unfortunately was never a big fan of the final chapters of the manga, so I'm considering this the end of Dr. Stone's climax. I'll be tuning in for the final cour of course, but with the issues the manga had plus the inevitable other issues of adapting it...my expectations are set a lot lower than the previous seasons. Hope it can still find a way to pull through

With Senku back, it wasn't long before everyone else in his group got revived. Choosing to revive Kohaku first led to a really touching reunion between her and Suika. It was impossible to try and watch this scene with tearing up a bit, that's for sure!

Another thing that was important was the talk between Senku and Tsukasa. With the combination of the Medusa and revival fluid, they can cheat even death itself, but the very fact of this discovery is all the more reason to not let that info fall into the wrong hands, as well as raising ethical questions about the whole thing itself. I don't think it'll be the last time this subject will be touched on, so it'll be interesting to see how they'll deal with this topic another time.

It was a wise move to revive Xeno and, with certain conditions set out, he has agreed to fully cooperate with Senku and his crew, with the main goal to create a rocket that can take them to the moon itself and sort out Whyman once and for all.

Overall, the second cour of Science Future certainly raised the stakes of how dangerous it got due to Stanley's persistent chasing and his brutal way of taking anyone down, no questions asked. The last few episode itself, especially with Suika taking centre stage, have been my favourite Dr Stone episodes overall at this point of the story. With the third cour airing next year, I highly look forward to seeing how this story goes on towards its conclusion. =)

« Scientia potentia est (knowledge is power) » is the best phrase describing the fact that Senku obtained 16 doses in 16 days. With the power of science, from years to 1 single day for HNO3. Science is the distinguishing property of the humanity.

Incredible that they revived Luna before Chrome, Taiju, Kaseki, Tsukasa, Ukyo, and Gen.

As tragic as Suika's loneliness is, that of Kaseki also shouldn't be forgotten. Even if not really "all alone" kind of lonely, he didn't have friends that had in common with him, namely artisanship, except maybe Chrome, who was ostracized. No sooner had Senku showed up with his science than he started having fun genuinely. That makes decades of "dull" life.

Whenever I see Chrome watch Senku and Xeno from afar, I'm like "Wth are you doing outside?! Get in there! You're one of the scientists!"

I doubt Why-man took into account in his grand plans the likes of Senku, Chrome and Xeno: ambitious, obstinate and capable geniuses who keep coming back from stone to pay him a face-to-face visit from the Earth to the moon.

The gang's all revived, including Hyoga who Tsukasa was certain actually died. Which confirms that petrification can straight up revive people from the dead. Loved seeing everyone's reaction to older Suika, especially Kohaku. Suika and Kohaku being the same age now doesn’t feel right, but it was still a nice moment.

I loved the gentle look of Senku, Kohaku, Ryuusui and Francois towards Suika, 7 years of solitude by such a young girl, Tsukasa was getting em a bit worried before they were going to revive Hyouga and what do you know, they were genuinely getting revived, who knows what's the real period between being dead and then getting to be revived after turning into stone but as of this moments the main group could be immortal outside of age.

What we can say about this season is that humanity was saved by Suika and BL strangely enough.

After Suika's amazing and seven years long oddyssey watching Senku achieve the same in just a day was quite funny and a bit sad. Of course that doesn't undermine her efforts at all and the reunion with Kohaku seeing them both now with the same age was quite emotional. However the question now lies on what to do with the Medusa as it's been revealed the truth that changes the perception that changes the view on all the anime: it's the key for eternal life.

Will it be used for good or bad? What is Why-Man's goal? Who are they? All of that and more may or may not come clear as the series ends next year. For now I'll say that since the first one this was probably my favorite season even if it wasn't the best animated ones. The twists, the inventions, the cast (especially Suika) and the expectations was all there. It even had a proper op and ed unlike season 3. Even though I already know how it ends I wanna see it in action.

I loved this season, had really good moments. I'm used to the plot convenience, but sometimes it kills my enjoyment a bit. Like finding a geographer... or geologist? (Chelsea) and the watchmaker just when you need it, basically right where you are. But the planet petrification, conflict against Stanley and Dr Suika were really enjoyable moments. 9/10.
