Pretty much the wrap up from the battle and conflicts in these recent episodes. I'm underwhelmed really but Kyle took care of his business with his party.

On another note, I guess he ultimately did put his powers to good use from the start to end. He definitely had an important role at prevent certain events...

Even to the very end, as much as the demons are nullified and Theron releasing Yuriga, Kyle's perception of demons and humans within the new timeline may have changed, as much as it is reluctant for him to accept. And Goh, seemingly jealous of Kyle being surrounded by the pretty girls while on his work with the golem, the "lecherous hero" sure is one name Kyle would get for all the right and wrong reasons. Also, Miranda playing hooky with Governor Bax on the side, as Kyle accuses her of working in cahoots with him, the one secret of Goh's golem restoration should be kept mum until it's ready to be engaged.

As Kyle and his party's work is done in Karan, the sudden coincidence with Princess Milena's cousin Kirulen and Minister Auges to take on a request to attend a conference at Ruos attesting to Zirgus and the Gargan Empire's involvement with demons, Kyle's hope to meet Maiser, to which he confronts him directly to become a future ally, the new future intertwines ever creating.

An open ending for crying out loud, this is just slow storytelling despite its interesting lore, with the only detriment being of time.

@Fligert Without a Season 2 it will forever feel unresolved now. Maybe that was the point? But heck, if "I Left My A Ranked Party" can get 24 episodes, plus a 2nd season, ANYTHING is possible. Won't be holding my breath though.

Strangely enough this one feels like a worse crafted version of “returner’s magic should be special” when kikansha already looked like shit. But whats even stranger is the fact that New Saga an all around more fun, which is why a gave it a 5/10 instead of returner’s 4/10.

Without a second season the story is pointless though.

Theron finally got his Regalia... Sorry, wrong show?

And the girl, right?

But the boy Goh... Man, why?

And this one ended. It was good, but... Short?

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

They added some baddies in this final episode that we will probably never see again lol. The Chick at the end Kyle was talking to and the Demon King...baddies.

The show was fine. Nothing special.

And so we end with the aftermath of the demon encounter at Karan and setting up some future developments.

Mixed feelings on this one. This was one of a few shows I watched this season where I had already read the opening portion of the manga version, but many years ago. From what vague memories I had I thought I liked what I read well enough, but maybe it's simply a matter of the passage of time and having been exposed to many similar series to this over the course of that time because this anime adaptation came across as rather generic and forgettable. By no means terrible mind you just...not great. I wanted to like this more than I did I'm sorry to say. Would I watch more? I guess. 6/10.

peculiar enough that we get sequel announcements from Clevatess AND for Vending Machine immediately after Summer 2025 for those shows ends... but New Saga doesn't get a sequel announcement? this one ended so openly there are closing the barn-door after the animals escaped jokes proliferating like mushrooms after a rainstorm. now i have yet to get to the Season finales for both Clev and VM... so i can't exactly compare/contrast the three just yet. but i guess Clev and VM ALREADY had their sequels planned out, paid for, and the teams raring to go at their respective studios. i'd also wonder if VM's group had 3 Seasons 'charted out' from the beginning of the whole thing?

when a studio leaves everything open like in New Saga... with minimal 'closure' except for the final story arc... in my experience the franchise goes 1 of 2 ways.

1 the sequel was dependent on the impact (financial/ratings/hype amongst the viewers) of the first part. if the first part 'bombs' or doesn't perform strongly enough, a sequel is harder to get funded.

2 it is a tease to 'read the effing source materials' and spend more Yen, Dollars, Euros on books. so, the open-ended finale was the plan from the beginning.

i expect if New Saga's 'impact' isn't felt by the time the final disk set for this season goes on sale in Japan... a sequel won't appear without some miraculous benefactor throwing cash around like confetti in a parade.

because frankly? this show was mid-looking from start to finish. i only bumped it up from an 'average run-of-the-mill anime' 5 into the 6 range because the MC didn't get PERFECT results due to all his foreknowledge from 'soul transfer into his past body'. too many 'timeskip backwards' shows use the 'i know it all and can get the best results this time!' trope. but at least New Saga's struggle-bus wasn't just for the ughhly art, animation, and fight choreography. the MC actually had to 'tryhard!' and he still couldn't get it all in one fell swoop. but i did like how the MC tunneled INTO THE SIDE of the dungeon to get the 'magic sword' and 'find the final treasure room' instead of dungeon crawling with his foreknowledge. getting the sword and the magic loli attached to it gave the MC a 'foil' to foist his foreknowledge onto... so trying to keep his party alive etc. BEFORE he gets the snack-monster... during a dungeon crawl? would have been a big hassle. plus, the little bits where his 'ahem ahem smexy time!' with the lady elf in his previous lifetime bit him in the assets more than once this time around made me chuckle every time!

if a sequel does show up? i'll watch it. i just hope the visual quality goes way WAY up next time!

Well, I’ll be honest, I went into this one with high hopes because it was an interesting twist on the reincarnation genre. Admittedly there were some great moments, like when our protagonist had to kill his “ally” earlier in the season, showing that just he had future knowledge that didn’t mean he was invincible or everything would go to plan.

Overall, good action, but it felt like it was missing “something” that would make it just a bit better than it was. Definitely mid, but one of the better shows I’ve seen in this range.

It’s unfortunate a season 2 is unlikely, because a “thanks for watching” screen usually means no sequel. It’s sad because I’m not particularly fond of when seasons end “in the middle” like they did here. I will be back if there is a season 2, it seems they teased a number of good developments, so fingers crossed things change in the future.

One more Summer 2025 show complete

SEASON 2, PLEASE

I love, really love the "regressor" genre, but sadly many works are stupid.

But this one is above the average. If it had decent animation, and not this cheap sad production, oh this would be a great anime.

Kyle is not a stupid hero, what is rare.

Theron is the best character of the show.

The 2 girls are the weakest part of the gang and lack personality, but AT LEAST they are not there to be annoying bi*** like in so many other shows.

The sword is doing fine. Thank god its not a annoying comic relief typical character.

I'll ignore the shitty animation and give it a 8/10, since i miss this genre.

While I liked the final episode well enough I didn't care much for the cliffhanger ending especially with a 2nd season not confirmed, at least as of this post. Also, the storyline was good but the production values and animation were mediocre. Having said that I would watch a 2nd season if one is ever made.

Ooh, the Maou is a girl 😮👌🏻

My 5th Summer 2025 anime finished! Once again, I am really happy I gave this anime a 2nd shot. I dropped it at first after the first episode, but thankfully came back on the 2nd episode and stuck with it since. I am sad tho we never got to see anymore like romance moments between Kyle and Liese/Urza after he kissed both of them. At least there were kiss scenes 👌🏻 it would be nice to see this get a season 2. Kyle doing everything he can to use his past life knowledge to prevent things from going wrong this second time around 🙌🏻 Urza best girl

The plot was super cool and gave me hope for this anime, but sadly it was very mid, the animation is ok, characters are ok, story is ok and that's the problem: everything is just ok and nothing more, for me it's one of the little disappointments this summer 2025 season!

Was expecting abit more from the finale of this show, but beggars cannot be choosers :{

I hope we get another season of this show, as it has it's shine to it (especially in the story) and then I wanna know everything that happened in the last minute of the episode too!!
It felt like we sped through an entire episode at the end there, so I hope we get another season...

Besides all that it was an enjoyable seasonal fanstay slop :}

I will miss both my boys Kyle and Theron, as they both carried this show hard!

There are some flaws in the adaptation, but overall the plot is the main advantage of this work and it is retold well, but with the second season everything is complicated, because 20 episodes were announced before the restart of production, and now no one knows whether there will be a continuation, but the beginning of the next story arc was shown awkwardly, including Lamprey, the demon queen and the princess, so at least another 2-3 seasons are needed for a full adaptation.

Are they joking? This is the climax episode?
Ohmygod was a bore
It's almost as bad as Frieren where they talked constantly, at least here the boring conversations take place in different locations. So it's just 22 minutes of info dumping.

NONE of the characters in this anime were likable. MC-kun is just another MC-kun in a generic reincarnation fantasy. Theron is a murderer with no clear motivation. The chick with the big hat is cute but that's about it. The two other girls are not even archetypes, they have no personality at all not even formulaic ones, they're just cute girls that say "I'm ok now!"
The horn music soundtrack goes along with it like vanilla ice cream goes with onions.
Obviously they're setting up a 2nd season, but this was so bland I really doubt I'll be motivated to watch a 2nd season. It desperately needs more flavor. ....aaaand in the end some guys are talking about how this knight (Kyle) who killed a demon is:
I'm dead.

Yeah... I'm gonna be honest, even if this somehow gets a season 2, I think it's a skip for me. The issue with a lot of the tropes where the main character goes back in time in the fantasy settings is that they know what's going to happen, and they perfectly counter those issues - which is so boring. The MC here seems to have change a lot of the timeline, but none of the changes are really felt, and it just feels like a lame excuse to give the MC an easy way out of every situation since he vaguely knows what will happen. His original adventure in the original timeline seems 50x more exciting and cool than what we got to see as the viewers.

Other animes that have this time traveling trope that do it well give the MC insane twists and turns that they never really knew about. Here, the MC definitely experienced that, but it didn't FEEL like that at all and he was just super powerful and could cheat his way through with no effort. In other animes, other MC's need to use their previous timeline knowledge and tackle a plot twist of something they thought would happen, but some other way deeper & mysterious force was behind it. The most that this anime did was fight the two demons - who were really a disappointment in the end too.

This was a 5/10 for me. Nothing stood out, and I really just watched it all for the sake of watching it all, which really is a damn shame :/

The ending with preview of future events usually means that no sequel is planned.

Too bad because I want to know more about the new demon king. Judging by the story, Kyle might help the current demon king to prevent invasion.

Overall decent, has some interesting parts but most are predictable.

None of the changes are really felt because we didn't know the original story. His childhood friend still live and even help him beat the demon, which was not in his original timeline. He also killed his teacher and the dumb king who cause dwarves to die.

He is not super powerful. Demon is more powerful than human. It's shown at last fight with demon that he need to use the mithril chain. He does a lot of effort, what do you mean no effort? He also use previous timeline knowledge to kill that demon, he would be killed without knowing invisible assasins from previous timeline.

Definitely a middle of the pack show, but the fantasy adventure bias in me means it was entertaining enough. Not sure if I want to read the manga or just wait for a possible season two further down the line. My guess is that since the manga/ln is completed this adaption may have been more an ad than a desire to animate the entire series. But, all depends on those bluray sales in Japan or whatever.
