The final episode celebrates the baseball game itself and future of the cast. The beer is back. Rather than some world series match, they just went easy and felt like the first few episodes all over again.

I have to admit, it was a fluffy episode in some ways with everyone back, even the team mascot.

With the Climax Series run for the Chiba MotorSuns over, there's only the last game of the season to content with, and some people like Aona, who passed her teacher's test, will not work with them after the game. Still, even though it's a throwaway game, the players still give it all they got, with Murata still having has his time with Ruriko, and the fans supportive with the booming business until open season next Spring. Until then, it's Aona's farewell trip with Ruriko and the rest of the beer vendor girls at that.

The last rites of the managers' meeting for the MotorSuns to prep for next season, and apart from Manager Matsudo leaving the team to quite the shock of both managers and the media alike, the fan appreciation event where everyone comes together to celebrate the players and have an easy-going exhibition match, it's all good and better with the players' personalized thanks from the 49-year-old manager himself who's stepping down.

The opening day of the MotorSuns right at homebase (where it usually will be in another stadium), and Ruriko getting all jealous about the beer vendor girls from Genesis Dome, though Murata didn't drink any out of courtesy for her, these two are quite the fun tease to watch, as yet another season starts.

A chill pill of a show that's just as enjoyable as it comes. EMT Squared quality Tuesdays, I'm going to miss it a lot.

Man the way this show turned up out of nowhere and ended up being one of the hidden gems of the season is crazy. I wrote this off as being some goonerslop and it ended up being one of the coolest sports shows I’ve seen. In a way, my view on the show changing is analogous to the motorsuns team evolving and gaining respect. Surprisngly throughly written series.

Ending the show off on fan appreciation and opening day is a really nice way to wrap things up because ultimately that’s what sports is all about. Bringing joy to and uplifting communities. People pay their hard earned money to escape from all their problems and watch their fave team play and we really saw that synergy of the energy the players give the fans and vice versa in this!

Though they didn’t make the playoffs and have historically struggled, it’s cool that matsudo basically goes out a hero. He’s one of those coaches/managers that goes down in history not for having the championship, but changing the culture to create a championship winning team. The ending of last episode felt like a new page for this franchise so it’s only right fresh blood come in to lead em!

The players reading their appreciation letters was so sweet man.

And of course we end like we start, with Ruriko and our MC bonding over beer. It’s pretty cute he didn’t wanna drink anyone else’s beer at the other stadiums until he got to see Ruriko this season. Really nice ending. I’ll miss this cast

I like how they are talking about the next season of baseball alongside making it feel like a 12 episode together like prepping for a 2nd season of the show. Plus the ending was fitting for an ending. It actually made me excited for a 2nd season with the players promising to do better, a new manager and how they ended it with Ruriko and Murata. Murata was smooth with telling Ruriko he went to another stadium but didn't cheat on her with another beer vendor.

Ah, Riruko, please don’t start the episode with tears! I’ll cry too! I truly loved this anime and followed all 12 episodes...

A wonderful episode. I’ll leave it at that. From now on, I’m officially a die-hard Motorsuns fan.

I wrote a review about the anime—I’d be happy if you read what I wrote! Thank you all.

So, all seasons have to end eventually, right? We have to say goodbye to our favorite gal of the season

But before that: SHOTS FIRED! (Finally)

Nagisa, losing it:

Ha! Dennis is such a tsundere!

This guy knows what to say at the right time. Such a womanizer, haha! So bad we didn't get to see an embarrassed Ruriko, but still nice

Huh, Shishio recovered from his injury?

I loved this series. After all, I am in a country that loves baseball, and I understood most of the situations in the park, even when I'm not the biggest fan of the sport.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

When I first watched the trailer for this show, I was immediately hooked.
I love Slice of Life and the moment I heard Fairouz Ai's voice I knew I was going to enjoy this series.
What I didn't know then is that it was going to make me laugh, it was going to make me cry and it would make me love every single one of it's characters.
The only complaint I can possibly think of is that the animation is... honestly bad...
But... as MotorSuns graduates... there is nothing that can make us lose our hope... that we can get a second season!

"He,y you're looking like a man in need of a beer,"
More like he needs a gyaru girlfriend.

Next season, Ruriko gets a gyaru rival.

"H-Hey, its been a while."
Well if you were not a typical social coward MMC, and had asked her out last season, you could have been friendly, and maybe even cozy, with her all winter.

Fin, they wrote, no not fin, it will be when the romantic line Ruriko will end, that's when fin, but for now is great, this sketch of the life of a stadium and its employees, baseball players and their fans, it was interesting to watch, the more they showed a new employee, but not enough, I need more, 10/10, waiting for the sequel continuation.

Santa Dennis!

Ballpark can be called one of the sleeper hits of this season. The beginning of the series suggests that you're in for another generic gyaru romcom, but then the side characters start getting loads of attention, and you end up getting a nice picture of how things run at the stadium. Every character has their own story that they bring to the park, and most of them are memorable and charming enough that I can overlook the animation being potato quality. If this series got the chance, another season with the Motorsuns is definitely something I'd be up for. 8/10.

When I watched the first episode, I thought it would make for a segment or two every week but I was not expecting it to be a sleeper hit! Basically, it would suffice to say that I was very pleased with how this turned out and I wouldn't mind a 2nd season of this.

Announced Satou-san's beet-red blushing following Nokogiriyama-senshuu's type revelation, Kojiro-senshuu's wife about to give birth, Yamada-san deciding to continue and wear skirts next season and all the inspirational words from the fans - this was such a wonderful touch to the already amazing baseball culture in Japan. I'm glad the first thing I'll be doing when I go to Mainland Japan this year is to attend my team (Rakuten Eagles) against the home team (Orix Buffaloes) to revisit some of the emotions from this show.

Solid 7/10 from here, really picked up towards the end imo.

I doubt there will be a season 2, since ending the season on a “Fin” title card is usually the same as ending with a “Thanks for Watching” which usually means that’s it.

But if it does get picked up, and I hope it does, I’ll be back for that season. In a time where anime is saturated with fantasy titles “real world” shows like this one are a nice change of pace. A nice and enjoyable show with an entertaining premise, even if the relatively large cast meant that things kinda jumped around at times (versus stayed focused somewhere). Definitely had some funny moments to end the season on, and heartwarming ones too

That wraps up another show for the spring season, looking forward to what comes next

in real life i've always hated baseball. i played it as a kid, and i've been to professional games, but it always felt incredibly boring. this anime genuinely taught me what it's all about. great anime. normally wouldn't be my cup of tea, i just watched it for the gyaru, but i enjoyed my time. would watch a s2 if they made one

This anime series never failed to be a ray of sunshine in my weeks. It had been a long time since an anime brought me so much plain fun. I know I might have trouble convincing others to watch it since I can't quite pinpoint what exactly I enjoyed so much, but I always had a big smile on my face every time I watched. I’d give it a 9/10—it was great!

Very good end. Delivers the feel of a season ender.

Aona moves on but the way pink girl is teased hopefully this actually gets a S2 so can see her.

Nokogiriyama and announcer by far the best ship in this series lol. She was so happy and flustered..

Well I didn't knew they play 143 games in a 6 month season. Damn. The hosting right for opening games is kinda random as well.

"Opening beer" what kind of pick up line is this.

For a anime I just gave a chance randomly this was a great treat. The way baseball and stadium atmosphere is handled in semi realistic way was informative and entertaining. The stadium was the main character not Ruriko (although she has her point and made it way better). No side plot was ever covered and I liked this approach. I hate sports anime for thier bullshit but this was unique and different take and easily the one of the best sports anime ever.

Season 2 is a need but I fear it's not happening. The new beer girl looks interesting, and a change in the team is coming.

My biggest surprise of the season. I knew I would like it because I'm a big baseball fan. But I didn't expect I would love it so much, because it captured the real feel of hanging out at the ballpark and being a fan. Great job! But how am I supposed to carry on without my weekly dose of Ruriko-chan????

Ah yes, the pain of watching your favorite team's season comes to an end when they did not make the post season. Then the off-season comes with changes to the coaching staff and the players roster due to trades and drafting young prospects.

Perfect ending to one of the best shows this season.

So there’s a team called Genesis too? And their stadium is called the Genesis Dome? Add it to the music references list lol. That aside, very nice finale episode, the one from last week felt like it would have worked too but this was more of a chill way to end it, I’m a fan of that. Each bit in this one was pretty wholesome, a shame Aona has to leave but it’s a good thing she got her teaching job, those beer vendor girls are incredibly tight so I doubt they never see her again. The fan appreciation game was pretty fun too, especially with the way it was capped off with the meaningful messages from the players to their manager Matsudo, they may not have made the playoffs but the man went out a legend, also Nokogiriyama and Nagisa had a cute moment there too, I think it’s safe to say this is a ship that will eventually sail.

The final bit has to be my favorite tho, I really love that we get to end on one last moment between Murata and Ruriko, I gotta say our boy was smooth there when he dropped that he didn’t buy beer before the first game at MotorSuns Stadium, it might seem like a simple thing but it meant a lot to Ruriko, and I really liked the way he put it, being the opening beer of the season, and hopefully there will be many more to come! And lastly, new pink haired vendor girl huh, a shame we only got teased on her but perhaps there’s more of her in the manga.

And that was it for the “slice of baseball” anime, I think that’s the perfect way to put it lol, and this was also my first show of the season to end, hard to believe it’s already time for spring shows to be ending but the time always comes. This was an absolute gem of a show, it didn’t have stellar production but it more than made up for it with the great stories and characters of MotorSuns Stadium, I can’t think of one story that wasn’t a good time. And I really love that this is a sports anime with a unique SoL focus on the experience of going to the ballpark, it really reminded me of “Gurazeni” in that regard, that show was also an SoL focused sports anime but it still had focus on the players themselves (btw, I highly recommend that show if you liked this one). And of course I loved the flagship girl herself, Ruriko, the coming weeks will never be the same without her presence, she had some truly golden moments over the course of the show, and since I’m talking about characters, I’ll also really miss Dennis Young, I really loved this take on an American character. I’ll also really miss that OP and ED, both fun and catchy jams, the ED’s animation went especially hard, definitely one of the best EDs of the season imo. And now I’ll hope for a Season 2 and possibly another unique sports anime gem like this to come around again, it won’t replace Ruriko but I’d definitely like if more shows like this became a thing.

There was a moment during the final game when I thought Murata was going to ask Ruriko for her contact info, but I guess not. Too bad, I’m sure she would’ve gladly gone out with him.

I also thought that when the manager retired that they would announce that Kojiro was retiring as a player and would become the new manager. Wrong about that too.

But I really liked this show. It turned out completely different than I thought. I thought it would mainly focus on Ruriko and Murata and that there will be a lot of scenes outside the ballpark. Instead, they kept the entire show inside the ballpark, and they kept developing more characters, so by the end, we were given a pretty complete picture of what goes on during a baseball season, not just on the field, but all over the stadium.

I give it 7/10 and although I doubt they’ll be a second season I would certainly watch it.

Once in a while we get this kind of anime that just popped out of nowhere and resonate a lot. They don't necessarily have sakuga but so full of hearts and charming characters that took you on a journey in their life. A few seasons ago it was Edomae Elf and now it's this anime (and Apocalypse Hotel!). They hit different notes but a masterpiece in their own way. Truly an experience worth more than empty stories with only superficial flashes.

This has been how you can get me into a sports anime. Lovely little finish to a lovely little show.
For the past few weeks, it feels like at least one of the scenes get me, and this week, it was the announcement with messages from the whole team. The writing's just been so consistently good in this show. If there isn't a second season, that's ok. I know somewhere the Motorsuns are still giving it their best.

The first anime of the season to finish, and honestly, I wasn't expecting much at first, but it completely won me over. Week after week, I eagerly awaited each episode.

The MotorSuns may not have made the playoffs, but they certainly had the best fans and the most dedicated staff.

This last episode was a farewell to all the staff and fans we have come to know. Some of the highlights were the heartfelt words from each of the players, the coach's intervention, Nokogiriyama's sudden confession that Nagisa is his type and going to see her privately, and the last glimpse of Koutarou buying a beer next to Ruriko.

It was such an underrated series. I hope we get to see more of them, or even meet new faces like the new beer seller. Fingers crossed for a second season.

A slice of life anime that comes rarely nowadays. At first, I thought it would be about baseball, but it focused more on the Audience, supporting staff, and players' lives outside of the game. It was kind of wholesome for me.

This was a pretty good finale to a series that I came into not knowing what to expect other than me making an assumption that Ruriko and Murata would date but alas that was not meant to be, too bad Murata was not assertive enough, maybe if there was a 2nd season there would be more development between the 2 of them.

Beyond them I liked how this series focused on various characters in the ballpark, from the different players to the different workers behind the scenes to the various fans in attendance. I also liked that this took place while baseball is being played in RL. While I liked the chillness of this series I again was looking for more development between the 2 MCs but having said that if a 2nd season is made I would watch it.

Having read the manga, I was aware of the focus on the stadium itself over the sport going in. And now having watched the final episode, this will be a part of my weekly routine I'll miss. This anime aired during a pretty difficult time in my first year of uni, so seeing it every week was a treat I always looked forward to. Definitely going to miss it, as this was the only anime I had on my radar before the season started.

Sort of sad that we didn't get the regular ED, but the one used here was pretty neat for the pacing of the episode.

On the topic of baseball, it's different from other anime I've watched. We don't really have baseball where I live, so seeing an anime about the experience of watching the games and going to the stadium realizes what I know I crave but have no way of doing at the moment. This is, of course, an experience I do appreciate.

Even though I personally doubt it will happen, I'll definitely hope for a season 2. It's been a pleasure.
