Welp, this episode introduced some colorful characters, namely the student council such as Ibara Ibu. Interesting to also see Tenryu animated.

Of course, they didn't forget about Nemu and her cat form again. How could they, it was how she was introduced to us in this show.

Again and again this show impresses me. I can’t believe I almost wrote it off after those first couple episodes didn’t resonate with me. It’s such a blast from the past, really feels like old school Jump series. Love these characters so much.

Speaking of old school jump series, the tropey student council sequence had me crying man. How the fuck does that dude with the knife and his tongue sticking out even get on a council ๐Ÿ˜ญ the president being unable to move his hand from his hat is insane too, no wonder their grandmother had so much pressure on Suzuka lmao. Even Moi had to sympathise with him for putting up with such an insane cast every day

And in typical jump fashion, the student council will keep trying to get Moi to join lol. I refuse to believe the PR dude and Ibara are high school students tho

Nemu’s back!! Her sequence was silly, poor thing needs to just approach the gang in her human form and ask to be friends at this point. Lost it when she somehow slipped out of the house while they were watching tv and laughing ๐Ÿ˜‚ didn’t expect her segment to lead into something so serious though! The plot’s finally starting to advance now that the warlock is after Nico! Can’t wait for next episode

This is the funniest episode so far without a doubt!

The introduction of the council members was all funny, even the introduction video. Otogi saying the student council lacks "common sense" was a burn right there.

I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me which council member is a parody of which character. I don’t recognize most of them.

Poor Nemu, wanting some alone time with Otogi, but due to her shyness, she misses her chance. What she said about remembering the touch of his hands could be interpreted in many ways. By the end, it looks like we finally know who is trying to hurt Nico based on the prophecy, and the question now is whether Nemu will be able to bring herself to come forward and tell them.

The trope joke is funny, but not funny enough to have it repeat within the same segment. The cat transformation is never funny to begin with but at least this time it leads to an unknown hot guy at the end.

Moi's main takeaway from that trainwreck of a student council introduction video being "he's me frfr" is too funny.

I'd be impressed if Nemu manages to deliver the warlock news to Nico while in cat form.

Never thought about Jotaro's hat until this episode lmao
Otogi sympathising with the Student Council president, haha
We finally saw Nemu again..what a cutie !!๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ฝ
I only wish if she would face them in her true form. So we finally got to see the real villains who are after Nico.
So far it has only been lots of laughs. I hope it gets serious from now on.

The tropey student council is like your typical villain/powerful characters that form a group of themselves being the top of their form. It was too hilarious.

Nemu Miyao is here again! Shes my favourite character so far. Seems like it starting to get serious next episode and after isnt it.

The Student Council’s team is a little weird, no way Morihito would ever accept being part of it.

I loved the JoJo reference, they mentioned Jotaro. And that psychopath really looked like Hisoka from HxH=)

The whole of Student Council was a mess! Everyone is their own trope character that were put together just because it would be funny, the way the bgm changes everytime another one talks lol, a crazy powerful lineup of seiyuus tho

A reference to Sket Dance!

Things looks like its about to be serious, what does the Warlock wants from Nico!?

Avengers ka..๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

All of these clowns ffs I appreciate the tropes though specially that Kansai sneaky guy & loli tsundere Kuudere duo.
But that president has different aura man also got his own special bgm. Funny how Morihito relates to him with his own group of idiots he have manage. That president needs help and fr that group lacks common sense Morihito joining would be helpful but he probably lose his sanity.
That useless Star wars intro๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Nemu finally came back after a while
And my god this cat is so cute and horny๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

As soon as he said with hands she didn't think twice lol. Literally drowning in pleasure no care whatsoever even if her identity gets exposed๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ
This girl is out of line. Idk how she escaped twice without any consequences.
And this poetries are fire...

Now for all these pleasure sections repay and help Nico and others. This dude is probably the danger her mom predicted (or maybe not). And I think it was skipped for a while so it probably will be good. This anime haven't missed a single bit so far.

Who is this Ibara Ibo? She showed up to dazzle us with her beauty—I mean, her magic...

She reminds me of the character Kobayashi from the anime Ranma! Don’t you think so too?

What’s up with this terrifying student council? LOL

Oh my God, are these characters all references from other anime? The moment I saw Barst, I realized it was full of references!

Did I pick the wrong anime? Am I watching Witch Watch or what?

There were so many references in this episode—even in the preview for the next one!

Miyao, Nemu was such a kind person—she went to warn Neko.

Anyway, this episode didn’t introduce any new magic!

One of the STUPIDEST episodes ever.

There's no way that student council is actually doing anything student council related. Every single one of them are so weird and I like it. I was laughing a good amount, we need to see the student council more. Nemu is back, FINALLY, I've missed her. How did she not get caught this time? I was expecting her to get caught this time. That ending scene was interesting, a warlock after Nico, huh?

The wacky trope filled student council makes their entrance! This can't be a shonen school comedy without the mosr wild student council you've ever seen. I love how meta this show is, definitely one of my favorite aspects about it. Morihito immediately calling out every single trope of the student council members had me dying laughing. Every second of that was hilarious as we ticked every trope box. Any big shonen character trope was seen here among the nine members. The president himself being a walking trope with his excessive uniform and holding his hat the entire time. It makes perfect sense why Morihito doesnt respect them or want to listen when they say Nico cant use her magic at school anymore. These guys can't be taken seriously at all. When they were all watching the online introduction to them and the other members are so incompetent that the president has to ultimately take on their workload too I did feel bad for him. Instantly seeing the similarities to Morihito and how he has to clean up after Nico and Kanshi messes. It would be pretty funny if there was an ongoing trope from now on of the President chasing after Morihito to recruit him. The end of the episode wasn't the best because I don't really like Nemu. But its the perfect chapter to adapt right before we get into serious stuff because as we saw she discovers the warlock and their enforcer hiding out plotting against Nico. So finally we will get dogs and raindrops next!!

The first half of the episode with the tropey student council was pretty funny although I didn't recognize some of the tropes. On that note I'm thinking we'll see the president later on again in a random situation to try to strike Otogi to make him join but I think he will fail since Otogi will be able to sense him like how he did with the rose in this episode.

It was nice seeing Nemu in the second half and she was able to sneak away again after falling asleep and experiencing euphoria haha. Hopefully she'll be able to make it back and warn the gang of the warlock, and properly introduce herself.

The Student Council segment was really stupid and hilarious at the same time. You might as well call them the "Trope-Vengers" due to how many trope boxes they all tick off, which was made funnier with how pissed off Morihito was with his remarks to all of them. The video promoting the council was also silly and funny where you can't help but like them. The president has zero hope of getting Morihito to join the council, but I do admit the president's tenacity and stubbornness in his attempt to recruit him is admirable.

Nemu is back again and her segment within the Morihito household was pretty funny. Her expressions while being washed and dried via a hairdrier was pure entertainment. However, it lead to a worrying development after she ran away from the house and ended up in the woods, where we got to see two new characters who're plotting something evil towards Nico. No doubt that these will be the main villains of the series right now, so I guess the comedic moments will have to take a backseat somewhat and let the serious side take over.

It's something that I'm looking forward to, easily.

Such a hilariously adorable episode, as always. I loved the first half with the student council, Morihito absolutely killed me when he suddenly shouted, "KUSO AVENGERS, KA?!", haha. I’d love to see the three of them join the student council, even if it’s just out of pity for the president. Poor guy really gets all the work dumped on him, so it'd be nice to see Morihito helping him, since he did relate to him, having his same burden at home instead, haha.

As for the second half, it was just so adorable, aside from that eerie cliffhanger. At this point, it's pretty obvious that Nemu is 100% in love with Morihito, even if she hasn't realized it herself yet. Still, Morihito and Nemu were just too cute together. The way he washed her, then petted her to sleep transforming her back, it was so funny & cute. And Nemu tiptoeing out of the house while everyone was completely absorbed in Skate Dandy had me dying. Nemu really just needs to believe in herself a bit more, and she’ll be alright. Dunno how long it will take her to do so though, haha.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

ok, the Student Council thing was... stupidly ridiculous. each 'character' being a caricature of tropedom was... good work. it wrung several snickers and chuckles out of me. but overall not that funny because it was just TOO over the top.

Nemu's bit... i swear the girl is escalating. first it was an all over the body heavy petting by Otogi... but she was a cat... seriously, that is naughty to the sex-stream(er)... but this time? as a cat she gets a 'soap house session' with Otogi as the esthetician!?!?!?! cmon... that is just TOO naughty! at least the obligatory 'nude girl with artfully placed bubbles on the naughty bits' art always used in these moments didn't happen. it was replaced with a goofy and cute 'i'm pretending to be Cinderella wearing a ball-gown made of soap bubbles' picture. but... she actually looks like she's pretending to be a cartoon sheep with an afro of wool!!! no sexy moans and "kiiiimooochiii!!" female climax voice acting. which frankly would have put this scene into the H! anime territory... so i'm glad they didn't use that trope.

then suddenly Nemu gets her obligatory... 'WTF?! Moment' she falls asleep, orgasmic sex afterglow... transforms out of her cat-form... in Otogi's lap!!! annnd she can sneak out of Otogi's house... THIS time she quite frankly is talking like it is suddenly 'the morning after' and she is heading home in her date outfit after 'smexing it up at her boyfriend's house all. night. long!' annnd things just jump right into SCARY CREEPY HOLY CRAP!!! stuff????

ahhh... this episode bounced all over the place.

@KiliianSleipnir It works better than another Jump series that kind of did its own thing with the character tropes, but the name is escaping me, since it barely got 25 chapters before it was cancelled. I want to say it was Protect Me Shugomaru by Daiki Ihara, there's a group of assassins and a chapter basically just has them get grilled about fitting into the tropes. Or maybe it was the later series by Ihara-sensei: Yokai Buster Murakami

Nemu is a dork, but I do like her for doing the spontaneous poetry. And she can turn into a cat, I'm not even the biggest fan of the transformation powers, but she has a cool application over the series so far

I think they kind of rushed the ending part, since there was a moment in a prior chapter where they established that witches tend to have a spell that can alert them to a warlock, Nico even knowing it. This way, it just feels like a convenient thing out of nowhere.

@MenchiK1 It's done in a more ecchi way in To LOVE Ru with Haruna and Rito, iirc. She's turned into a cat and the scenario is similar, though Haruna is all but written out of the sequel series

@Skuvan Well....Nemu does get involved a love triangle, but Morihito and Nico's relationships gets complicated enough later, but that won't be until season 2 easily. And the manga only recently gave us hints about why she's so reluctant and wallowing in self doubt, though I'm a few chapters behind

Peak comedy—the student council is packed with the most clichéd and bizarre characters imaginable, and unfortunately for Moi, this won’t be the last time they chase him down to recruit him. The best were the tropes and references in this episode-the Star Wars intro that went absolutely nowhere, and the sudden appearance of Jotaro (no longer just a JoJo reference; he's literally the character with copyright and all). Totally unexpected. The student council is golden.... Kame Hame Ha!

Nemu's segment was also hilarious: she went back to being a naughty cat. But the real change comes with that dark witch chasing Nico. Things are about to get interesting, and we may finally see Nemu and Nico interact.
