Welp, one thing that hasn't changed is the character rivalry between Otoha and Lilisa.

Since the band performance, it looks like this episode is taking on a more relaxing break. They got all the cast dressed up in yukatas. Tamaki looks great when she puts the effort in.

Weekly dose of my rock lesbians!

Well not everyone can appreciate good music clearly, because there’s no way the girls didn’t have the best performance there. Worked out in the end because even though they “lost” they gained Tamaki’s freedom from Aki’s band, mutual respect and Tamaki awakened to her sub fetish lmaoo

Did NOT have Tamaki being a sub and wanting to be “verbally berated” by Otoha on my bingo card, but again it’s another one of those things this series plays as fanservice that speaks to a more serious character trait. Tamaki has NEVER had anyone actually offer their opinion or talk back to her like normal people do, so Otoha has been her connection to normality throughout her life. She just wants to be a normal person! Respect to Aki and her band for realizing Tamaki was much better and happier as a bassist than guitarist.

I KNOW the localizers be having so much fun with these sexually charged Otoha and Ririsa arguments lmao. “Whip your weiner out” like cmon πŸ˜‚ the seiyuus have to have a lot of fun too! That little look of tear from Tamaki had me cracking up

Tea ceremony time! Wait, what, Tamaki’s a tea ceremony lady?? She’s gorgeous in Kimono and the quintessential lady. I did not see that sort of dichotomy coming! Even crazier that her only concern is if Oto has been talking about how weird she is because of that sub kink getting exposed earlier lmaoo

Of course the girls are gonna train after staying up all night with excitement . Nothing’s keeping them away from playing. Another really good episode, the band are finally together and we have the path to Fuji rock in front of us. Can’t wait to see where this goes and hopefully they start inviting Alice to the concerts lmao

Arisu getting angry about not being invited was funny.
It also seems Tamaki has a kinky hobby and she seems to be influential in the tea club of her school.
Her school appearing so fast after the concert was surprising tho.
I wonder what more we can expect from the group.

Otoha and Lilisa's bad-mouthing is on another level. I don't think Tamaki has ever used the kind of words those two threw around. Lol, this time Tamaki was on the receiving end from wild Otoha and Lilisa, or should I say crazy Otoha and Lilisa. Meanwhile, Tina was worrying herself to death over messing up the performance.

I thought Aki would also get chewed out by Otoha and Lilisa since she was acting all high and mighty, but after hearing her story and seeing her love for Tamaki, I ended up sympathizing with her. I'm wondering if Arisu will start following Lilisa more secretly from now on.

It feels a bit like yuri here. I honestly thought Tamaki was going to confess her feelings of love for Otoha or something, but I didn't expect her to discover her M-side thanks to Otoha. I knew these girls were crazy, but I never expected it to be this extreme.

Tamaki in a yukata is a whole different species, from her personality to her posture, like a refined lady.

The ragtag 4-member girl band playing instrumentals like their life depends on it, even Bitter Ganache has to admit that they got guts playing unfamiliar tunes to the audience.

Of course, both Otoha and Lilisa going at it against each other like their usual banter, Shiraya finally understands what captivates the two together in unison so much so that it displaces her out of her relationship with the former. And when it comes to new wineskins, Shiraya now knows that the bass is truly her calling, against the guitarist that Aki and Bitter Ganache were looking for, and most certainly an equal partner where she's most likely to play the masochist role towards's Otoha's sadistic role.

With the band battle over, things return back to normalcy, though things between Lilisa and Alice still can't be withheld from each other of the truth the former of her elder sister trying o keep up the noble maiden facade. Still, seeing Tina in her ladylike fashion in the horse equestrian club at least has some semblance of confidence within her, as much as Lilisa herself in the Tea Ceremony Club having an exchange with yet another school...if only she didn't witness Shiraya being the representative for Kuroyuri Girls' School also faking her ladylike persona.

The S&M exchange that embarrassed Shiraya aside, the misanthropy of the ragtag Fuji Rock band certainly made Lillsa want to confirm both her and Tina as official members of the band, which they already are thanks to Otoha. Rock on, the four rock peonies!

Man, I missed Oto’s savage energy: “If you actually came to that snoozefest, you’re seriously pathetic!” LOL. She and Lili throwing shade at Shiro was hilarious too. Pretty sure they just awakened a brand new kink in that little degenerate hahaha.

The concert really felt like a turning point for the band. It gave everyone a boost, not just musically but on a personal level too. Awesome to see Tina gaining more confidence in herself. I’m hyped to see where they go from here. Do they even have a name yet?

We finally get to see the other sides of Tamaki, the noble lady demeanor and the not so ladylike "preference", everyone in the band got their own "quirk" for real.

What's next for the band I wonder, a vocalist maybe?

Shiraya awakened to something, ain't noway she was a S with that dominant M look lol. The looks from Otoha though, loved it. Also lmao for a sec I was wondering how tf her hair grew overnight and it was a wig. Her and Lilisa are very alike. The four of them are now together, the band is full. Their rock story is only begining but sadly only 3 episodes left.

Btw that pink hair bitch from bitter ganache is a sore loser and was annoying. I get where she's coming from but sometimes you gotta face reality. Glad her band members are sensible peole.

Loved the way Bitter Ganache members let go of Shiraya 'cause they didn't want her to compromise on what she wants to play just like they did.
And we learned a lot of things about Shiraya. She's a masochist and is so obsessed with Oto even more than we thought..
And she is a rich girl who is part of the Tea ceremony club as well. Damn, too many revelations about her..πŸ˜‚πŸ€£β€οΈ‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯

Hello,
This series is intellectually insulting, because:
  • 1: According to the story, Lilisa is far from being dumb, even smart. Yet, in ep10 she ignores lil' stepsis as if an idiot, just because the author wanted a convenient plot to create artifical drama.

  • 2: Did anybody consider Otoha would literally impale herself in ep9, if she tried to drum for real in that spiky dominatrix outfit? That, after a whole year of Spineless Spiny Ant (Togenashi Togeari) performances...

  • 3: How many times have we heard the exact same silly argument going on between Oto and Lily? Are viewers considered autistic? (That reminds me of ARIA, where the MCs laughed about the same few and lame jokes, ep after ep with no end in sight - though ARIA still became a masterpiece, unlike this one.)

  • 4: The author didn't even do basic research. For example, concocted a lie that Lilisa had been studying in Italy. That totally doen't make sense as a feint, since Italy is all about the violin (Paganini, Stradivarius, Amati, Guarneri, Cremona, etc.), of which Lilisa doesn't know anything and correspondingly suffers for that. Logically, she would have been given a fake background in Spain, birthland of the guitar, an instrument she knows well. (If she can play electric guitar, she can also play acoustic ones and there is nothing about uncouth about Albeniz's Leyanda, etc.) That way the violin teacher would appreciate her better, as a person of musical aptitude but who's complete rookie on the instrument.
Anime studio couldn't correct these glaring problems with the source material and come up with a no-nonsense, non-cliched script, either due to staff's lack of courage to confront the mangaka or mere indifference. After all, it's just a fixed fee, draw-and-forget, lower tier project for them.
Japanese animation industry can't be saved with that attitude, though. Low quality can be produced anywhere in the world, so why keep it in Japan, where costs are high? Only high quality can justify a future for anime, Made in Japan. Not necessary HQ visuals all the time, but compromising on story quality is taboo!

I was just waiting when will they crash out. Didn't spare Shiro too. Credit to Bitter Garache they backed off knowing the feelings of Shiro. I do feel bad for them cause Shiro did kinda exploited them.

But for the first time she was likeable than didn't expected the masochist side. But based.

I will also be down bad to get insulted by Otoha (& Lilisa)..😭😭

Poor Arisu just wanna watch it let her. But finally the band members are official.

It was to be expected that the audience wouldn't know how to react to an instrumental band, but the girls in the other band and the club owner knew perfectly well who the real winners were. Not that Lilisa and Otoha cared, they were too busy insulting each other and getting lost in the music.

In the end, Tamaki stayed in the group and accepted her role as bassist, revealing her true personality: a closet masochist who only wants Otoha to reprimand her. Still, Otoha won't give her that satisfaction, because Tamaki would never insult Otoha. She'd rather have a partner to rant with like Lilisa. Poor Tamaki.

At least the gang is finally complete... and now they have Arisu as their resident stalker.

Man, this episode was so perfect from the beginning to the end! Without doubt my fav episode so far! Having gone so many episodes without Lilisa and Otoha being at each others throats made it especially satisfying in this episode! It's like all that waiting finally paid off. Not to mention then even got Shiro in on it too πŸ˜‚

Definitely unexpected was Shiro devolping a pls step on me mommy complex with Otoha 😳 Dunno if gap moe is the right term here, but that certainly was a complete 180 from how she usually acts πŸ˜… Eitherway, loving this new side of Shiro a lot!

Speaking of new sides if Shiro, we finally got to witness her in elegant lady mode. Wasn't expecting her to be wearing a wig when in school, certainly a pleasent surprise. Who would have thought that she too keeps her double life hidden. Lilisa and Shiro have a lot in cummon apparently πŸ€”

Also loved how invested Lilisa's sister is in their band activities. Her reaction to them getting new members was too funny πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Œ

I know we still have 3 episodes left, but I really wanna see more of them interacting in the future! I sincerely hope this anime gets a second season at some point! πŸ™

Very nice aftermath to the rocking concert in the previous episode, once again that crowd was stiff af, they didn’t even clap after the final song where the band was banging on all cylinders lol, but this isn’t about them, even if our main babes didn’t “win” the competition, I think they won rock music. But goddamn that might’ve been the most explosive insult hurling from Lilisa and Otoha yet, I guess it works for them and it is funny to see in an anime, but I’d be scared if I saw this irl lol, and thankfully Tamaki was revealed to be a bit masochistic so it didn’t throw her off at all (although later it was revealed to be a more wholesome thing).

And even they didn’t win, I like how Tamaki sticking around was done, the rival band (well, besides the angry pink lol) saw that they’d be tearing her away from the instrument that she truly wants to play, good on them for that because they coulda easily been assholes about it, hopefully they can find another guitar player that could be an even better fit for them eventually. The rest of the episode from here was back to school with Lilisa and the others reeling from the intense jamming the day before, I can’t blame them honestly, even going to a concert leaves me feeling like that lol, although I was surprised Lilisa didn’t think Tina and Tamaki would stick around, hell no they aren’t going anywhere lol, but this did make the final moment of the episode especially sweet when Lilisa realized everyone felt the same way she did, I look forward to seeing what this band cooks up in the final three episodes!

And as a final note, lol of course Tamaki is also a rich girl hiding her true self, her meeting with Lilisa at the tea ceremony was amusing.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Japanese people don't openly criticize others. They will still clap even if they didn't like it. Yes, they will write nasty things anonymously on the internet, but no one would ostentatiously say "yuck" at a concert.

Tina riding that horse was great for some reason. Her "Hup!" spoke to me on a spiritual level. She's actually just enjoying life, and we all respect her for that.

That was a nice aftermath episode. I think this downtime really allowed last episode to think in, and get the point across that the performance was a pivotal event for each of them.

Also, Otoha keeps being the mastermind behind everything. She's also the only member of the band who don't really maintain a refined lady pretense, as far as I'm aware: she's kind of... just herself?? Seriously; how does she do it? Funnily enough, she's the most mysterious member of the band right now.

Also, the flowers are all in one vase now!! I wonder if the not-so-discreet symbolism vase will continue to show up in future episodes; if not, I'll miss it. It's basically part of the series' identity at this point. Speaking of this series' comically overt symbols, the bird from episode one somehow left a few more feathers in the practice room... I love how stupid this show is and how well it parodies these tropes. On a completely unrelated side note, Tamaki in that kemono could pass for one of the Ubuyashikis from Demon Slayer.

I'm not sure how this can wrap up in 3 episodes. It feels like we've just gotten started, especially with this episode almost feeling like an end-of-season episode. We don't know much about Lilisa's parents, Alice, the Noble Maiden, or just about anything else with plot significance. Hopefully this either gets a S2 or is left unfinished; I have mixed feelings about anime-only endings.

Whoa, they actually lost the battle of the bands due to audience confusion!

Luckily the 2 girls in Bitter Ganache said Tamaki can't join them. Whew. Tamaki now realizes there's some shouty yuri dynamic going on but still wants to be abused by Otoha. Sick!

Who would have thought all 4 band members are rebellious rich ladies? (Us, the audience). I thought for sure Tamaki would ditch tea ceremony club to go to the band place to play after that exciting gig, and guess what, MC was the LAST to clue on!

@Yuu_Kanzaki Well Incineration is one of the most common methods of waste disposal in Japan, my guess would be that calling someone "incombustable trash" would mean that they're difficult or inconvenient waste.

From what I've read incombustible and combustible trash is required to be sorted separately in Japan. This is seemingly a cultural pain-point hence why they use it as an insult in this show.

10 episodes in and we haven’t even touched on anyone else’s backstory. All they do is insert sexual jokes into everything. Tina’s entire personality is just big boobs. Bland female characters, overused visual effects and weak writing sounds a whole lot like another popular genre than a band anime.
Truth is absolute but human perception of truth is always relative.
