Damn, this episode/season has been a rollercoaster of emotions.

I like how they protrayed as Tsukiko as a vulnerable yet character with a lot of potential. Senya also seems to have made a trustworthy friend this season, and I think it may be important for his character growth.

Senya finally going to face his inner demon. A key step to become stronger, by uniting every demons inside him.
Seeing how Senya grows is an interesting ride for sure. (plus his interaction with Tsukiko is very cute)
Loving this anime more and more.

Shinsuke being a way better therapist than swordsman is also an interesting development all the way from season 1. Shinsuke counselling needs to be made into a business.

Senya probably had a hunch that his origin is not pure, so this is just a confirmation of his biggest fear. But he has no time to worry when his crush get kidnapped by a shota dragon.

Great episode as usual. Absolute shame how slept on this is.

Who would’ve thought the guy from the end of last episode would be the SHOGUN of all people. Teru is such a fun character. The fact his Haori has those wing like designs that he uses to jump off buildings is giving Yatagarasu lmao.

Shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s got a connection to the spiritual side of things. Hanatora is a cool and really cute new character and shows us that not all darkness is bad. It’s a nice parallel to Senya’s own internal struggle with his literal inner demons.

Speaking of Senya, I just want ge and Tsukiko to be happy man they’ve both been through so much stuff and as soon as Tsukiko cheers him up and gets Senya to admitting his feelings and thinking he might be able to be happy.. this dragon mf snoops in and ruins the moment. That’s two fights in a row now Tsukiko has found herself taken hostage and this time there’s no Tama to bail her out. Which in of itself is a bigger question because wtf happened to Tama. She was fighting him last episode and he’s still here so did she lose?

But on the bright side, this should give Senya the opportunity to bring his Katawara fully under control. When he wants to be Shinsuke can be pretty reliable and give some good advice lol. We all felt a lil dumb for writing him off as not training with the sword too, turns out he’s been working in the spirit realm which is so cool. No wonder Tsukiko respects him.

I hope Teru doesn’t actually die. Such a cool dude. Can’t wait for next ep

@Marinate1016 Tama never fought Mudo, she just ran past him by tricking him. Remember that dragons are extremely powerful, so although Tama has a few more tricks up her sleeve, she wouldn't be able to win against Mudo.

But they never showed us so how would you know this unless you read? They just showed us them confronting each other in the forest lol. As an anime only it was set up as a fight

It's good to see the characters develop, and that goes for everyone, and it didn't take 100+ episodes to do so.

I assumed she was internally talking to Shinsuke and his group wishing them well on their journey. Not that deep in the scheme of the essay I wrote on the ep anyway.

Tsukiko looked so gorgeous in that outfit, sucks she got kidnapped again.

Senya uniting with his 1000 katawara will be awesome.

Excited for this series

Damn, the famous Shogunate Yoshiteru Ashikaga even makes an appearance here, allowing Shinsuke and the gang to rest in his place.

The Elusive Samurai has no hold of this version's Shogunate, though he makes light of his position that he even defeats Shinsuke effortlessly, and transcends gods with his own friend of Hanatora, the regional god of Kyo, which she thanks Senya for defeating her alter ego (which is still god-level). Still, Senya contemplates with the katawara of a thousand demons within him, but he's still human at the end of it all...and even gifts Tsukiko a Pharaoh-like clothing that makes her stand out all the more.

A momentary good rest for the gang, though Senya finds that he's gaining interest in Tsukiko, only to have Mudo steal her in the invisibility of the spotlight. And even against the will of his thousand katawara not wanting to confront a fearsome dragon, Senya finds himself at a loggerhead, and only Shinsuke can help him find a connection between his human self and the spirits within his body. And the attack on Teru from Matsunaga Hisuhide on May 19th with a legit spoiler that he'll die, that's quite the premonition.

Teru should still continue to live, he's such a good character.

So, the guy from the cliffhanger turned out to be a shogun. I knew it. He's such a cool guy. He has connections with the world of darkness and he has gifted Tsukiko some cool foreign clothes. He's just a fun character. And he did that cliffhanger thing again, spoiling his own death. I hope he doesn't die. Well, if he does die, it'd mean this show takes place in 1565.

Tsukiko was kidnapped by the black dragon successfully this time. Senya is hella mad cause he realizes he's in love with the girl now. Understandable. He also learns more about his past. Wonder if he's gonna confront Shinsuke about it.

I think I got hooked now. I think I'm enjoying this part way more than part 1 (so far). Senya is a more compelling protagonist than Jinka. Which makes it more tragic that they split the anime. But it's still preferable to the original plan of this anime being 2 cours only. I guess the first part would've been skipped and it would only be revealed via flashbacks. Which isn't a completely horrible idea but a lot of context would've been lost. So glad it didn't happen.

The relationship between Senya and his katawara is at its worst. All he wants is to fight Mudo.

I don't know if the manga feels similar, but it feels like I went through so much stuff this episode, both story-wise and emotionally. Senya was reassured that he was human, had a good time out in town, developed romantic feelings, got consumed with rage and self-hatred, went on an "inner journey," was given a deadline, started to have doubts about his companion.

It's also a little strange how capable and wise Shinsuke has become, mostly off-screen I assume.

It's still pretty entertaining, but I'm not invested in this arc as I was in the first one.
