| Considering what we know about Mary from the parent story, I'd say this feels more like an alternative prequel, Mary feels different from what we get in the beginning of Kakegurui, there are a lot of new characters that didn't show up in Kakegurui, so an alternative makes more sense than being a real prequel, but let's see, I haven't read the manga. |
| It's finally here. Saotome's time to shine and as expected she's awesome as always. The new girl alongside Mary is cute as well. Loved that they kept the same energy as the original. Also, the OP and ED are really well done especially the ED. Good start. |

| Really disappointed at how they skipped so much of the beginning of the manga. This is probably gonna be a rushed series. Also, Tsuzura is too cute and innocent for the harsh world of Hyakkaou. She sounds and acts pretty much exactly how I expected. And that exaggerated leg cross by Juraku was amazing lol |

| With Yumeko basically outshining Mary in the parent story, it’s truly a sight to see her take the center stage and do her own thing here in the prequel. Blue-haired girl was cute tho. |

| I really disliked how they just skipped over the first gamble. I thought it was a good start to the manga. But still, I forgot how awesome animated Kakegurui is.The energy that this show radiates is as enjoyable as ever. I could listen to these girls threatening and mocking each other all day long. I imagined Mikuras voice differentely, but I'll probably get used to it. Sachiko and Tsuzura are well done, but the shining star for me is Yukimi. Her voice is top notch! I look forward to seeing Midari again next episode! |
| funny after the 2nd season of Kakegurui came and went so quickly i was hard press to care about a prequel spin off but i enjoyed the first episode old prez seems way worse than the current one sheesh ,surprised to hear stuff was rushed but maybe that explains the batch of 6episode/ besides netflix being netflix Mappa is quite busy as usual though mary is fine as a character despite being overshadowed quite heavily in the main series so this feels like watching dragon ball z without goku but instead you get krillin |

| Way past the 1st ep, but this spin-off is what I've been needin. Mary is queen! Hearing Yuuko as Juraku is too much for my body. | Pretty nice beginning for the Saotome spin-off, that other girl who became her friend doesn't seem that good but the dice game had some interesting tricks as always... now it's up to how much annoying Juraku will continue to be for them, I felt bad for the glasses girl though she's the true victim of the story |

| Man, I almost forgot how hot most of the girls in this series are. Solid start. Mary is the only character I genuinely like in Kakegurui so I can already say I'm gonna have a great time with this spin-off. ED is great, by the way. |

| This is actually a refreshing departure from the main series. I'm going to miss Yumeko's high stakes orgies, but Mary is my personal fav & I love how even at this point, she's still so cheeky & smug. The ED is amazing and feels like a legit music video. I found myself so bewitched as these sirens lure me into yet another sweet taste of this decadent indulgence. |

| Its always nice seeing Mary Saotome. I have high hopes for this show centered around her since shes my favourite character, this first episode was solid i cant wait for more. I like seeing Mary before the main show she seems so much "Happier" if thats the word im looking for idk, but she just seems like shes doing better than season one Mary. |
