Not only are Tazawa and Matsuo alive but they skipped the rest of the fight with Togashi (who not surprisingly was completely useless besides that suicidal move he pulled) all the way to the last round and they purposely switched Date with that other guy as an excuse to not kill him off. Hilarious! through the past 30 episodes,you were fully deserving of a 10/10 and a full recommendation to any anime fan as one of the greatest obscure series of all time. why then did you pull this crap??!! jump over half the 2nd battle,all the third,and half the forth??!! WHY!!! the battles were what the entire second half was building for,and you skipped half of them??!!!WHY???!!! *Destroys everything around him then cries* |
| I'm guessing that a large portion of this secction of the series was cut because the show wasn't ddoing so hot in the ratings perhaps? Only thing that makes sense to me, unless the Manga does the same? Which I doubt. Toei probably had only a handful of episodes left to play with and decided to focus on the final battle. Honestly the decision to make these fights longer than the 4 trials was bothering me anyway. 1-1 12 eps a fight was a nice sweet spot, spending a whole eps just travelling to the next fight was awaste of time. I'm disappoited but not surprised as the pacing before led me to believe there wasn't going to be enough time to finish the show, though with the movie too it might have been enough. I've enjoyed this silly show and its OTT take on the Shonen style of the day (FOTNS etc) as well as poking fun at the general melorama of classic japanese and chinese folktales and history. Especially anything involving Martial Arts, Sacrifice and Heroism. Blood, Bonds, Sacrifice, Huge Muscles and Tears! Is there anything more manly than that!? lol |
