You see it alot, for example one piece, luffy has many techniques but in a way they are different incarnations to his rubber devil fruit abilities, same thing with ichigo, you don't see him with many technique's just other stronger versions of his own bankai or hollowification abilities, Inuyasha, he has a big sword and thats all he uses and although he has different abilities through the show, its just any other shonen, his prime ability is his wind scar and he learns maybe a handful of different attacks with his sword. Rurouni Kenshin same thing, he learns bout a handful of different hiten mitsurugi style's of sword combat, well everyone else in the show seems to have so many different attacks, even fullmetal alchemist, ED essentially has the same techniques through the entire series just different incarnations of it involving alchemy, Fairy tail i can't speak of cause i have not seen it but i imagine its much of the same thing. The shonens that i can speak of that actually DO break that traditional trend would be like shaman king, kiba, or like Law of uike because the MC gathers multiple abilities as he progresses through development. Magi would be probably another one i would consider but the studio really screwed that up, we need a new remastered manga adaptation of that series. |

Everything was top notch from that. But from there on...fillers..main arc...fillers...and now this disappointing animation :( |

| I really liked the Tsuchikage and Raikage combination, other than that, meh, Naruto is still annoying as I remember him to be in the manga. The headbutt wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. |
