all them sad crying kids. Also how did none of them wake up from all the explosions from last episode. well they explained why keisei cant become a hime. I like how the guy just said we are saving them, but not allowing them to see their dead comrade and treating them like lower class people doesint really help your case. well this episode was basically refresher course and letting you know ouri is going to go train to become a monk to honor his bro. On to the next season.
I was hoping to see the ritual & funeral for his bro. and more emotions from MC but I didn’t get that in this final episode... I hope season 2 has more emotions...
I think this anime was sucking in almost every corner: Bad animation, predictable plot and worst guy mc ever(talking to you Ouri), The humor that they tried was even worse.
It was kinda an inevitable prediction that Ouri will take over from Keisei, judging from his first encounter with Hoshimura. This series failed to give me a solid great plot and I could see there was a next episode titled "path of Light" after this one ( season 2 perhaps), but I won't watch it even if you beg me.
I am so glad it was a 1-cour series, other wise it would have been a long ass suffering for me but I am glad I finished it.
4/10.
How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb --- Dr Strangelove
That was not a good episode. It was mostly recap and lore dump and even if they knew they were making season 2 that's still a stupid way to end a season.
It feels like nothing about this show's world is revealed in an organic way and its all just very slowly stated by characters now and then while the author figures out what the hell he's doing. Like, the priest saying Oori can't be a contract priest because he hasn't had training. Like, training to do what? Aside from having their magic connection to the Shikabane Hime its not clear that priests do anything at all in this show. Some seem to have magic sutras to make fights more interesting but that's not the case for all or most of them and even then they're still generally pretty incompetent at fighting.
I'm kind of resistant to the 9/10 I'm giving, but it's honestly that good for me. Not sure why, maybe I too am obsessed with death so drawn to the shikabane hime [anime].
4/5 for this episode, felt like a recap episode but said some important stuff to understand what the hell this structure is and stuff.
I am very mad at the Jougan sect:
1. They told Ouri he can't have Makina
2. They are literally hanging Makina, like what the actual fuck. It was sad enough when the only thing she had was hot showers, but now she's literally just hanging. I could understand if she wasn't bonded, but she's bonded!!!!
We got to see lots of different princesses this episode. I feel like we'll never get better information about the cat's relation, but maybe next season since it's a kuroneko, but then again, this was called Aka and we don't know why.
