| It could be surprising for some people, but word "dick" does not have a fowl meaning in Japanese. So please stop the silliness. I really enjoyed this episode. Any kind of flashback involving Zoro is automatically tagged with "badass". |

| Probably the first nit-picky thing to bother me, Zoro used 'Onigiri' at the end while he hadn't even named it that until he met Luffy. Great episode. |

The way I see this type of filler is that even if it's anime original, the information giving is ok as long as it doesn't end up conflicting with the source material and the characters are behaving as they would according to how the source has established them so far. |

| The filler has been alright to pretty good since the first two ended. That and the fact that we've gotten some great filler decisions such as bringing Ace early and had some quality filler such as the fake rebels in Alabasta I've gotten hopeful for future filler. Rather than skipping outright, or 2xing the episodes, or paying little attention I'll give them all a fair shot. This was a cute episode showcasing how Johnny, Yosaku and Zoro got together. It wasn't much more than that but it was some cool backstory I hope doesn't later end up contradicting itself. Their old designs were quite funny. I didn't like how open Zoro was about his goal nor how he let his guard down against Dick so easy as it seems out of character, but at least it set up for that little kid splashing water on his cannon. Moments like when Zoro grabbed his sword and told Nico Robbin to 'not stand beside me' are what I want from the new crew interactions. I understand everyone but Zoro fell for her immediately so it makes sense that they'd get along, but the lack of focus on anything new with her and the Straw Hats is frustrating. At least a moment like that lets us know the filler writers are still thinking about this stuff. Anime makes me so fired up. I feel like I want to stare evil down even if I lose a fight while doing it because of Johnny, and Usopp, and many more out of One Piece examples. |
| So that's how the two bounty hunter pals was able to tag along with Zoro~ The whole episode was more about them than the Pirate Hunter himself, funnily enough. Seeing Zoro in action was awesome though! |
