 I guess by starting the series so emotionally, it can only go up from here. Not that I was getting tired of Shin crying, but glad he managed to move on. Sei is an interesting character, and I hope he displays more emotions than being all serious all the time. And the backstory is compelling, yet baffling |

| Dropped in the middle of the episode. Normally, I can bear with stupid characters since most anime characters fit in that category but Shin is just too annoying. I still want to know how the story continues, but the eye-hurting animation AND an annoying main character are too much. |

| I love this series more and more. There is everything in it you need for an epic historical drama:war, murder, bloodshed and great emotions. But Shin is truly sometimes annoying. I like the calmness of Sei despite the fact that they are in great danger. |

| The king's personality is interesting and he is stronger than I thought, seeing how he held Shin with one hand. Shin, on the contrary is really annoying. I hope he will calm down. Shouting all the time like that should not be allowed. Now regarding the plot, we just have to wait to see if Shunbunkun is alive and will be there at the meeting point. It might be a trap. Also, we'll see how the fight between the kids and the assassin will go. |
| Less than 900 users are watching this show. Unless Pierrot pull a Madoka on us, I doubt the rating will increase XD Anyway, looks like the plot is finally picking up, I hope it gets better. |

| Hardly any crappy CGI in this ep, almost non-existent towards the ending, hope somebody in the studio can actually come to MAL and read all the complaints, anyways i still have high hopes for this series, yet to see any boring moments. |

| Took me a while to identify Kugimiya Rie, had to confirm on MAL, I'm a fanboy so I would watch even if the show was crap but fortunately it's not. I'm liking it so far, if it keeps up I think it can be a 8 / 10, CG animation is awful but I'm not picky |

| Why isn't Xin killing the king already? He's constantly being an ass for causing Xin's brother to die. Even I would've killed him and I haven't even touched a sword/gun in my life. The king is such a stupid character. I think "double" thing is one of the worst ideas to start a show like this. Xin's brother is also stupid for dying like this. I mean didn't he want to rise with his "skills"? They took him only because of his resemblence to the king. He should've rejected it because this wasn't about his skills and... lived! If you're gonna kill a main character like this at least you can start from a bit late to the events so that we can accept it easier. Tough, as I said, the problem is the relationship between Xin and the king. I still have no idea why isn't he killing him. He's just a selfish noble, that's all. There isn't even a satisfying explanation including the future of the nation etc. And I also didn't find the story interesting. I don't feel like there is anything interesting I want to see in it. I guess I can say it's... generic. I'm dropping this right now. |

| That big-lipped general is hideous. I can't wait to see him get rekt. Man Xin sure has a short-temper though I can't blame him too much since Piao died in the king's place Jeez that Muta guy means business. Looks like there's gonna be another fight coming up. More shitty animation, more shitty CG. I've mostly gotten over the crappy animation now. Here's hoping it doesn't take too long to get really epic! Okay episode. 6/10 It's getting better little by little. |

| i'm mourning piao's death as much as xin is, such a sweet child shouldn't have died so early on into the series. he had a lot ahead of him. the fact that he's nearly the splitting image of ei sei (xin called him zheng? i'm confused) doesn't make it better when their personalities couldn't be any more different than they are. *cries ruefully* whyyyyy. why. kill the king, spare our country boy. joking. if he showed the least bit of remorse towards his double who died for him, i'd be more... i don't know? forgiving! yeesh. instead, he treats it as-a-matter-of-fact, like yeah. he died. i told him he might die and he did and that's why i'm alive and i will continue to use methods such as this. so *i* can live. i'm still enjoying watching this but the thought of piao's untimely death will haunt me. i was practically rooting when xin beat up ei sei. |

| not much happened here. and i believe shing is more concerned about his life being pathetically 'till now that he's following the kind. the assassins ideas making me feel this anime is more shounen than seinen... |
| At the moment it does not feel like a seinen. More like a adventure-like anime targeted at younger people without the typical shounen stuff. (And the violence being the only thing that might older people the targed audience.) Not tooo bad though. I do not dislike this type of story - where the king has to fight vs. his brother. Political stuff a bit. And war. Some interesting enemies. The Xin guy is a bit annoying as main char. And that fat guy (bodyguard?) with the younger brother of the king ... that we have seen in episodes 1 or 2. Seems overpowered (superhuman and not realistic strength-wise) enemies are a regular thing here - instead of tactical battles. At least for now. Still wanting to know more - I will at lest give the full season 1 a try. Since the source seems to get more and more adaptions and is now at season 4 of the anime. |
| goddamn it I just confirmed it. Fucking netflix cut the first episode in half and didn't even showed the other half as second episode. I checked it when Xin said he knew that little girl from before cause I knew there's no way I'd miss something like that. Anyway, how tf can that little boy king choke lift Xin like that? I guess I'd just have to let little things like these pass cause "shounen" |

I just can't get used to the officially subtitled names for people and places being completely at odds with the spoken ones. How does "Shoubun" become "Changwen"? How does "Kokuhimura" become "Heibei Village"?
| @kalinime 6 years late but this is just how the Chinese characters are pronounced in Japanese. Japan borrowed the characters from China a long time ago and each have their own (also borrowed) pronunciations which can be quite different from the modern Chinese ones. |
