The Majo no Tabitabi (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) stage at the GA Fes 2026: GA 20th Anniversary event announced an anime movie on Sunday.
Produced by animation studio C2C, the television anime adapting Jougi Shiraishi's adventure fantasy light novel aired in 12 episodes in Fall 2020. Funimation simulcasted the anime with subtitles and subsequently streamed an English dub.
Majo no Tabitabi debuted as an e-book on Amazon's Kindle service in 2014. Following stalls in sales, Shiraishi promptly advertised the series on 2channel's VIP bulletin board and successfully attracted a following. SB Creative began printing the novel under its GA Novel label in April 2016 with illustrations by Azure and published the 24th volume in March 2025. The 25th volume is set for a March 14 release.
Itsuki Nanao (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Gaiden: Xiaolan Kaisouroku) serialized a manga adaptation on the Manga UP! web magazine from November 2018 to March 2024. Square Enix released the sixth and final volume in July 2024.
Yen Press and Square Enix licensed the light novel and manga in English last July, respectively. The 15th light novel volume shipped in April 2025, with the 16th volume going on sale on January 6. The sixth and final manga volume was released on August 19 last year. Yen Press is also publishing the Inori no Kuni no Riviere (Riviere and the Land of Prayer) spin-off in English and released the third volume in December 2024.
