I like this show, but it does feel kind of "What's up my fellow kids?" with all the 80s or 90s graffiti and aesthetic.

The world they live in is also impressively ugly though, and I would not want to have to live in decaying rooms and buildings like that, so it's a funny contrast to the "fellow kids" appeals 😬

The last minutes of the episode was beautifully crafted. It goes deeper on a philosophical level of story-writing. Good God, cannot wait to see what else will come after this episode.

I didn't expect Gob's death to impact me since we never heard him speak, but it did. And that was a really sweet moment with the gremlin girl at the end.

Losing Gob so suddenly is heartbreaking, especially since he was doing what he was passionate about.

For whatever reason, I found Rudo's reaction to Remlin's fireworks/Gob's death to be pretty great. So far, I do like both characters, and maybe I empathize with both of them - and not just because they lost someone important. Some people mistake it for being shallow, but celebrating to mourn is a very legit way of handling grief - because if anyone cared for them that much, the deceased WOULD want that, as a matter of course. People who wouldn't - tend not to have people that care for them - or the ones who do stop.

Who the heck would want someone crying their eyes out unless they hated them?

At last some pure, multi-color joy! Enough with whining and brooding indeed. That kid is wise :)

First episode that didn’t do much for me. Trying to build up “sadness” in one episode is a rare art form and I didn’t feel Bones delivered it. Pretty art and animation though

Probably the best, or rather, the most beautiful episode so far.

Kudo finding Riyo on his bed at night when he's trying to wash off his hands, it's a surreal feeling alright.

Going into No Man's Land, which they need to handle all of the equipment, it's either that, or drawing a spell for protection with an artist Giver's help. The destination: the City of Graffiti, Canvas Town, where people on the Ground are able to draw graffiti on wherever they like. And since they need to find Gob himself, to have him dead by body pollution by the warning of the city's mayor, it's a huge setback. The successor in question to receive Gob's pen and Spellcaster responsibility - Remlin Tysark, though for a kid as young as him to be the town's spokesperson after the famed artist's loss, him choosing to honour Gob's legacy and continue the legacy, the city of freedom and joy truly sings aloud.

The city of freewill, shows one's belonging and diversity.

Canvas Town. I like the design of that place.
Quite a creative episode.
