They definitely had to work together to take down that golem. Zenos' support was very important in this episode and he did lead that battle.

Felt like a predictable result in the end but hey, they managed to avert the danger. Well played. I guess Zenos did earn the trust of his teammates after all.

So yeah, apparently Zenos fights on his own as well. I'm not gonna question how or why, or the world's standards where healers are only supposed to heal—and even that on a minor scale. Nor will I question how he learned all this as a kid, even before Aston found him.

Of course the Guild knows that Zenos will get in his way, because why not? The Guild knows he's the villain in this story, probably out to cause chaos in the world, and he knows that Zenos is the MC who's going to stop him—especially now that Zenos has just surpassed his expectations.

Gotta hand it to Zenos, he healed everyone, he even turned Aston back to human and gave him the proper punishment

Is there anything that Zenos can't do? lol

The summary of the episode:

©2025 LaczPro

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

I've complain a lot about this anime, but as long as there's no death toll, I'm willing to forgive its every mistake.

This is one of a rare anime that the leader of the party that kick out the protagonist survive, in fact, not only he survive, he also give me a good fanservice too. Can I be the one to punish him instead?

this episode missed its mark by just having aston get punched and now having a redemption arc, it also missed a massive mark by letting that edgy try hard villain "the guide" go scott free when the author could have easily made Zenos detect him and kill him and beat his ass.

this anime still really has nothing good going for it other than cute demi-human women.

Zenos finally gets to give Aston his just desserts and to express all his feelings, but he's also able to stay a good person who's very aware of what he owes him.
That was a beautiful episode, full of emotions, and Zenos giving back Aston that coin indirectly -that famous coin who started it all- was the best moment for me.

It's not easy to write a character who's not all about revenge or all about saving others, but someone a bit more realistic: Zenos is a good person, but also a human being who (rightfully so) doesn't like Aston and doesn't pretend they're going to be friends now.
Very good and convincing writing.

Perhaps the best episode so far imo.

Probably the best episode of this anime so far if I have to say!

I could see it from a mile away that Aston was going to be the golem in some way.
But, it was cool to see Zenos in action mode this episode and especially at the end where I deadass thought he killed Aston, to then show that (like always) he's a healer and ended up saving the poor bastard.

I kinda wanna know who Zenos master was, because how god damn powerful is Zenos who is suppose to be some random slum kid?!?

Anyways, I felt like the animation of this episode was strong as well and that punch at the end was amazingly animated if I have to say :}

Finally, it was good to see my favourite girl Carmilla get some well-deserved screen time:

But the best image of this episode has to go to:

That was a nice end of seas-....

Nice end of mid-season episode. Tied up the arc with his old party nicely. Interested to see if Zenos now interacts with the church more, or how things develop from here.

Just as I figured, it was Aston who went to the Guide for assistance and was the reason a golem was unleashed. What surprised me was that Aston was inside the golem and for a minute I thought Zenos was going to kill him but in hindsight it makes more sense Zenos wanted him alive, so he could punch him and get paid.

@XArceusX the bad guy is callled Guide and not Guild unless you're referring to something else.

Man, that was nicely symbolic at the end. He gave Aston the same amount he was given as severance pay and takes the sword HE found to begin with. Aston is left with literally nothing, plus Lady Night just found him & is aware of all his crimes since he fled from her the first time! He is now under arrest while also buck naked. LOL

Zenos clearly tops the list of heroes who can stand up for themselves and remind a former party member what a useless creature he is, even though he had a noble endeavor.

@phantomfandom hahaha, let me join you! :P

Also, yeah, I found this conclusion to this arc to be extremely satisfying. Unlike most shows similar to this one, where the former-friend-turned-petty-bad-guy gets off with barely any consequences, this ending feels entirely appropriate, as Zenos doesn't kill Aston and violate his personal code, he also gives Aston a firm punishment that somehow still feels kind and merciful. And he even managed to get Aston to realize the error of his ways! I'm almost hoping that he comes back in the last episode and becomes friends with Zenos

I love how money is always on Zenos’ mind 🤣

10:50 I had a feeling that’s what happened. Guide turned Aston into a golem with that magic stone.

Zenos such an OP badass MC once again man 🔥 took down Aston easily. No hesitation.

Carmilla cute at the end being in denial 🤣🤭

Since when is a golem like a Titan with a human inside controlling it? Well at least he was really really stuck (if I had one complaint about AOT it's that the humans inside the nine titans were pretty loosely attached) and had to be surgically removed. The "real" bad guy I already find annoying, someone that powerful why is he even hanging around the slums? That's what is the major issue with so many of these shows they don't think their bad guys through, I mean who is motivated to accumulate all that power and then slink in the underbelly of society and use it to just amuse himself with losers wanting revenge? You're not going to use it to accumulate wealth and live it up in a mansion with servants and women and all the other stuff money can buy? No according to this show your going to sit around for years in the underbelly of society just waiting patiently for someone like Zenos to appear so you can amuse yourself by testing his power...right 9_9
At least Aston was just a straight forward jealous moron. Pretty convenient knight girl showed up to arrest him. I can't imagine a town of three criminal gangs wouldn't have strung his ass up as soon as Zenos got him out of the golem and killed him for what they did to them and their town.it would be like those mob shows where someone unknowingly hurts one of the bosses kids, you don't hear from them again. This guy gets punched out of his underwear. Kinda lost respect for the gangs in this town, though I guess I shouldn't have expected much considering they're all run by women. ;P

Anyhow, I commend Zenos for staying true to his motivation for helping people-- coz of money, and I guess for slugging Aston as well.

It’s good to see Zenos finally trust his friends to help him. I don't think he would’ve been able to best that golem without the girls. Also, I hope he gets that piece of shit assassin soon. That asshole destroyed a good chunk of the slums just to take that POS’s job. I hope he gets his comeuppance soon enough. It will be worth the wait to see him taken down by Zenos for all the suffering and destruction he caused. I can't believe Carmelia is such a tsundere. She truly cares for Zenos, just like the rest of the girls. 🥰🥰

Another good episode in one of a handful of shows worth watching this mediocre season. Glad there’s some action and a new villain. Should be interesting who he reports to, or if he has to report his findings. Back to the three hot demihumans and loli elf all crushing on him 🤣

The thing that detracts most from the show is the inevitable "happy ending". No matter how dark and dangerous a situation is, the OP wizard of all magics will win the day, fix everybody's boo-boos. Then go back to the clinic with his harem and drink tea.

@Kai200X Nah. Nothing. The ultimate overpowered MC. Will defeat anything without ever getting a scratch.

I'm calling it now. Nobody will ever die on this show. I'll still watch, I think... Not sure. However, this is down to 4/10. It's getting ridiculous.

True to Zophia's foretelling, the Underground Guild heard Aston's call for help and hired the Guide for such a work as this, and that's how the golem got into the slums in the first place from forbidden sorcery. That leaves Zenos and the gang heads with no choice but to work together and take the golem down with a strategy barring its regenerative abilities.

The time spent confronting it leaves Zenos with the chance that he knows who he is dealing with, which at first, disappoints the Guide seeing it as an open-and-shut case, but his actions definitely prove there's more to the underground healer than once surmised. Though his only insult to injury is the cause of the damage of the slums, and even giving the same severance pay back to Aston, Zenos escapes unscathed, back to life with the group.

The first of many hustles against the Underground Guild, conquered. But this will not be the last...

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Zenos is an SSS tier support with all those buffs he gave to everyone. He could probably team up with anyone and turn them into a powerhouse.

Aston really got himself into some trouble by going to that shady cloaked guy. At least his golem transformation kept his sanity intact and Zenos was able to keep everyone from being hurt.

I'm surprised he genuinely repented too. Zenos punching him out of his clothes and hitting him so hard it impact framed was a top tier moment.

Episode was kinda weird, like it was trying to be a season finale but didn’t have the buildup. The hooded golem maker was shown as a big threat, but it didn’t hit hard since they just showed up. Hopefully this is the end of Aston though.

That story seems done, and maybe he’s learned something so we can move on now. On the plus side, there were a lot of fun ideas, solid animation, and good direction overall, some really good stuff in here animation wise. You can almost see the creative thought process behind these scenes.

Disappointing on one part. For again a horrible trash got away, though this time, in the prison cell for life. If not, then it's a sorry excuse of a redemption. Will the reckless naivety come counterfire Zenos in the future? I just hope not. Especially, considering those irredeemable evil scums.

Carmilla's personality is kinda adorable lol. Ara-Ara traits with a hidden tsundere inside.

Zophia and Carmilla, both are my fav fmcs so far. Although, chara design wise, Zophia wins for me. Such a Queen!

The ending was wholesome, I guess.

Nice job there with the tea preparation, Lily.
