Ain’t a damn thing “Holy” about that holy sister. God I can’t wait to see her get packed up. I’m surprised she was so bold to not erase her involvement with Dratena’s appraisal. Surely you’d remember getting a necromancer skill fruit. Just shows how little she thinks of the fellow guild higher ups and Lena. But the fact none of the others called her out, especially the dude who’s obsessed with fines.. was interesting. Maybe she is right and they’re all stupid lol.
But she did NOT anticipate Light being so OP. Thought she could just disband their party, only for Light to be like “nope, not happening”.
Even with it being an obvious trap, there’s no reason for Light to fear with as broken as he is. I wonder if Dratena will end up turning on the holy sister as well. I feel like she might be being manipulated.
It felt kind of silly when they did that anime thing where people in the background just say out loud a silly sentiment like:
> "Wow! She's so gracious!!1!"
about the evil Holy Nun lady when she's obviously being sketchy.
Otherwise it's ~ok~ as a show, and can also just ignore why the group doesn't just leave and go to a neighbouring kingdom instead when they're so capable themselves.
We have quite a bit of really cute and funny moments this week, but also a few tense ones with the sister being suspected by our heroes at last.
Overall a very interesting episode who sets up both Lena's investigations and some future (probably) intense action/adventuring.

@GooseHybrid Yeah, that was weird how nobody called her out. I imagine necromancy must be an incredibly rare skill (otherwise we'd have heard about societal ostracism like we did with the Count), so it's likely that the "Holy" Sister has only appraised a few people with it at most in the past twelve years, so it's highly unlikely that she forgot.
And yeah, the group is pretty braindead, but overall the show is enjoyable enough that I don't plan to drop it yet. The group's chemistry is carrying the show for me
so we finally have a relaxed episode
maybe
oh right i forgor
something uh side effect
ok so its over
what could possibly go wrong
conspiracy etc
huh
i do wish ayla isnt like a walking liability
shopping time
ayla intensifies
uh
what even is clothes
to be honest ayla doesnt look that much different
its a bit fancier i guess
since her role isnt a direct one
wait i didnt realize the skill actually has a real pixie/fairy
so anyway
it seems that ayla ability either has some kind of limit or something else is able to influence it
so yeah the dragon wasnt defeated just delayed a bit so its out there somewhere
i dont remember how old is lena
otherwise that means dratena is like 25 or 30?
meanwhile so
shrug
i mean its gonna be kinda messy
what is going on
i mean so basically some talking and what not
most likely gonna need at least one new skill to complete the mission sucessfully
lena
conspiracy etc
it seems lena is the main brain
huh
very fine
also yeah borken sword
are they gonna spend an entire ep on getting a sword
seems a bit weird although what can be said
it goes both ways
Its still a bit weird
Otherwise we get a bit of lena and ayla
Although not really that much different
I wonder if its just gonna be offscreen or now its lena turn
Another post ed scene is this like the 2nd or 3rd or 4th one
Seems like theres a decent chance lena runs into dratena or the other girl next ep
Overall Im kinda whatever
In a sense its meh to the point that I dont feel super negative about it perhaps
Really lena and ayla
Even then lena and ayla feel a bit odd
I'm only loving it for the Lena Cosplay. ROFLMAO.
Ok, that aside, the Holy Maiden is so suspect right now, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the MAIN villain. That woman rubs me the wrong way on many levels.
Liked the episode. Loved Light's chill personality when he barged in the officials' room like it's nothing. The holy sister seems as mysterious as ever though. Excited to see what kinda sword Light's gonna have forged.
The only thing I can say for this episode was the animation was smooth enough that they gave this a better treatment than the previous episodes.
This episode was such a cute one, that I enjoyed their SoL.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

@CocoaGalaxy Next to the holy sister is a little henchman lad. He's probably an appraisal blocker. She probably only has one skill, but not Appraisal, so she probably gets the Appraisal ability from an artifact monocle.

@popa910 I'll remind you that none of the skills introduced in this anime so far had a debuff. Besides, if he had gotten acceleration, durable weapons, or whatever, it would have been a lot easier for him. One of the listed side effects is death by poison. He freely ignores that with immunity. Mc-kun also decided to do his gacha not at home by the fireplace, but during the fight with the dragon. There is no way to retreat. The giant dragon couldn't squeeze through any of the doors, and if he tried, he'd be swarmed. It was possible to just run away.
In the Parrying anime, the mc-kun is presented by the writers as an autistic fool. Everyone around him doesn't see it and makes up their own minds. And there, mc-kun is an incredible op.
The logic of a JRPG is in itself neither bad nor good. The execution is disgusting. The successful implementation of a JRPG is "Konosuba". Skills, stats, etc.
You can sort of grow claws at will (girl's skill). Or they can replace melee attacks. So I don't think that's going to be a problem. There's also the summoning skill - op of the op. That's also taboo. It's the first time mc-kun hears about such forbidden skills, although the Count's case should have been at least a regional news story. This is an example of how the author breeds entities as the story progresses. Supposedly, all teenagers should be quite scared when they get a skill. If the forbidden one will fall out, so what? Straight to jail? But the young people are not worried and show no signs. Why not? At that time, the author did not know that he would have a forbidden skill.
At the beginning of the anime, I almost got depressed because of Lena's rise and Light not being able to rise, so I looked at the manga to see what would happen in the future and I was waiting for this episode. My hands were almost shaking while watching this episode. I'm looking forward to Light's rise.
They realized their writing was so bad they had to put in 5 seconds of "fan" service so their own team wouldn't go crazy. It's intro is really it's only redeeming quality. And that actually somehow makes it worse because that gives the expectation that it'd be even mildly enjoyable to watch which it isn't. How come we're only now introducing the fact that he actually can't just eat a bunch of fruits with no consequence. It's still stupid but whatever, just limit it to 1 a day then or 1 week hell if I care. Just don't *do nothing* like we did the first 3 episodes. "She must be pretty confident to drag a kid along" this is what I mean by AI writing. Like what?! previously ya'll were worshipping the ground she walks on and now when she enters the same building nobody knows who she is?
And they've resorted to fan service again the animation team must really have it rough...
They are sitting there like "damn this is so ass" if you we have to make this show at least let us draw some anime titties. Also how come this pixie just shows up now? like it was nowhere to be seen earlier, I assumed he had to summon it. And now it has a will of it's own yet can't talk and not only that it's physically quite strong, but why would it be motivated to make him sleep.
Anyway I'll give them this.
This episode was better than every episode before it. It's still not good but it's bearable.
Just eat more fruits ffs like... why wait until you are about to die. Like kinda silly.

@Me_Mario The manga has the fan service too. The bath scene is from the manga. I just hate the excessive fog censorship. You don't even get to see tits or ass. So even at fan service, its a failure. It's like why even add the scene if you're afraid of showing anything? At least in the manga you get to see the tits, even though it's also censored, though the anime just put fog everywhere. "Can't show tits, even though we added her in a bunny outfit which shows a massive amount of cleavage"
Light may have exhausted himself, but both Lena and Ayla really took care of him and made sure that he got his much-needed rest. While the Adventurer's Guild had a compulsory summons for Luxeria, they're busy at the moment, so the girls go out shipping, mostly for Ayla prepping her to look like an adventurer.
The moment the higher-up meeting convenes with the Four Bureaus of the Guild, plus the intended culprit at the heart of it all: the Holy Sister from the Inspection Bureau. Lena going in hard strong to want intel on Dratena and Black Swan, plus the Wicked Dragon's scale that she picked up, to which the information sure picked up whatever she's suspecting of Dratena being given a fruit skill by the Holy Sister, though that was 12 years ago. Still, Light being adamant that even with the disbandment of Luxeria from their earlier troubles, shows up announced and manages to change the Holy Sister's mind...and yet, Light is just too naive enough to accept her S-rank monster hunting job, though the party's survival also hinges on her. Lena may have found her suspicious, but let Light be, because he's still too enthusiastic to make his mark on history.
First, getting Light a custom sword rather than getting loaned ones from the Guild, and Lena doing her own investigation in Athena, what fruits will that reveal?
I find it really stupid how they say everything as loud as possible. She's saying how suspicious she is of the Sister right to her face and they're talking about important secrets like "Oh you obtained this skill previously" right to the guild staff's face. I dont know if its a direction thing with the voice actors but its weird that the only tone they have is loud. (And I have my volume turned down too)
Yuritopia FTW!!!!!!!!! BANZAI TO YURI !!!!!!!!!!!!
would it be now that the supposed adventure should begin? sometimes I think that they only put this genre in the work because the story takes place in another world, not because the protagonist ends up in magical and fantastical places since the story takes place practically in the same scenario for thousands of chapters
you guys are horrible at making any adventure/fantasy, have I said that?
Luxeria has been given their first trial to defeat a rank S monster. The holy sister seems sinister ngl even Ayla noticed it with her appraisal plus she seems to be displaying unhappy behavior when Luxeria show her the fact that they defeated the predicament at the manor
So Light has been sleeping for two days, and both Ayla Lawrence and Lena Floria (yes we learned their full names now) insist that he gets his rest. They are fair in their concerns given that he ate FOUR SKILL FRUITS and he passed out before they can get back inside the Holy City.
Besides that there was a lot of information to process here. Firstly the Adventurer’s Guild is made up of four Bureaus, the Finance Bureau ran by Grave Keeper, the Investigation Bureau ran by Flower Hat, the Security Bureau ran by Tiger Beard, and finally the Inspection Bureau ran by Holy Sister, who seems to have connections with bad apples. Lena is able to learn that Holy Sister is the one who appraised Dratena Bulbery, but can’t prove anything beyond that as she does have a reasonable alibi of the fact she appraises 1,000 people a year. Regardless, we got some more information.
Luxeria was about to be disbanded, but Light walked in at the perfect time and it seems that Holy Sister appraised him and likely learned of his other skills. Now he has to do an S Rank quest to make sure the party is still registered and has to wait to get a new sword. Light did have a good point about how he didn’t bring a sword in when his sword is broken, and I’m glad that Grave Keeper recognized that point.
I’m surprised that Light didn’t think about getting a strong enough sword to handle his Sword God skill before, but now he shouldn’t have to worry, especially since he has his Weapon Durability Boost, meaning that if it’s gonna be expensive, he can sacrifice some durability because his skill will likely cover it for him.
Now, will Light risk eating more fruit knowing that it could interfere with the ones he has now, or will he opt to stick with what he has? I would guess the former, because the latter would make this series uninteresting.
