| Probably the most atmospheric part since that confrontation in the rain between L and Light. This was executed masterfully- it had me screaming at my laptop...and this is coming from someone who's already been thoroughly spoiled on the ending of the series. Just let me tell you that I have never The way I feel about Light is how I feel about Dio Brando...I just love to hate him. Only I have a bad soft spot for Dio because he's so ridiculous and eccentric and I just want to see Light suffer. But, hey, it's a fine line! XD Can't believe there's only one episode left :/ |

| Damn this episode is Creepy. Especially when Mikami started to show up. Mikami was really Creepy O.O At last!!! Last episode, I'am done with this. This anime should've ended when L died. It's very tiring too keep watching but I'am rooting for Near to catch L xD |

| Anytime I'm rewatching the series and come to this and last episodes i'm feeling like the first time I saw the series, no matter which time rewatch it was (and this is my 12th rewatching the series, ya say it i'm crazy about death note :P) Couple of things that were really good in this episode that should be mention: 1. light getting out of the car, really epic animation and music 2. the insane mikami writting the names 3. the whole scene light tell us his precious plan 4. the very good cliffhanger |
| Finally Light explained his hidden plan to us viewers. That was pretty well thought out plan. Lol even if everybody's name is already written in the DN, what's Near gonna do alone? Everyone just standing and Near is the only one sitting,did they don't feel tired standing for 30 minutes and doing nothing just stare at each other? LOL. That animation when Mikami appeared...... damn. So Near real name was "Nate River" Mikami should have waited outside until he's certain that everyone except Light is already dead. Whenever Light or Mikami is in evil mode or whatever u call it, their face turned ugly LOL. Light and Mikami is too confident for their victory. This episode by far had the best cliffhanger compared to the previous episodes. |

| It was so hard for me to watch this episode since I root for Light and hate Near: Light's overconfidence, everything going according to the plan, him declaring victory before the heart attack hits them... all screams "Failure"... I fear watching the final episode... |

| horrible animation for the first half. other than that the episode was great. the last episode better not disappoint. if light was tricked then the entire anime would have 0 meaning. near please die. and all those others helping near & the police helping light, please die too. |

| This whole 2nd part has been really bad and boring, but this episode of Death Note is probably the best one in the entire franchise. The directing, the voice acting by Brad Swaile as Light Yagami, the music, the overall intensity and atmosphere, were all unbelievably great and the cliffhanger was such a kick in the balls (in a good way). The psycho in Light just trembling and trying to contain himself from laughing himself to glory was just a beautiful touch on how much of a sinister but awesome character he is. One more episode to go and I have to say, this rewatch has really been a rollercoaster of emotions and quality as a whole. |

| That was pretty smart of Near to replace the pages. Light's counter-moves were pretty smart too. This battle of wits is soooo intense. |
| Aaaaaand he's screwed himself. There is guaranteed a piece of information that we don't know that'll lead to them not dying. Now that Light has openly said that "He's won" as he did with L with the grin, he's screwed himself. I wonder if this was part of L's plan. (I'm still holding onto the hope that this was L's master plan) |

| God that cliffhanger, I don't even know what I want from the last episode. Part of me's thinking that there's no way Light lost that, whilst some of his moves were sloppy he did all the important parts right, but also I feel like surely somehow Near pulled through. Also props to whoever did the backing music for this anime, I've thought this since I started watching but the music really is just so fitting of all the scenes and sounds great. |
| I can't believe Light was able to predict all of this... I'm still trembling for this episode, if nothing happens as planned for Near I can say that this is not at L level at all I hope that as I said before Near has not done anything extra and dies For now this chapter entered my top 3 favorite Death Note chapters |
