even Denji can't decide if he liked that whole encounter or not. It encapsulates the fandom's split view of that scene (sa or not)
| @Sworld30 Not really. I honestly can't believe Twitter is still debating this. Denji liked it, 100%. This chapter should have been the final nail in the coffin of anyone hoping Denji didn't enjoy that encounter just because that's how they wrongly interpreted it originally and they refuse to budge. The only part about the encounter that he should even potentially really have a problem with (that it was Yoru and not Asa) is something he doesn't even know at this point. Now the people who are determined to prove to everyone that they know Fujimoto better than he knows himself are ignoring the part of this scene where he spells out that he enjoyed the encounter, not even just because of the sexual gratification which he can do better himself, but because it made his heart feel good. They're acting like him being unsure of whether he's happy or unhappy is entirely about him having mixed feelings about the handjob and not him weighing that one positive experience up against the fact that all his pets and Nayuta just died as far as he knows. |

| That post nut clarity hitting Denji hard and making him realise he's still gotta save Nayuta. I'm consistently impressed by how well Fujimoto writes these little characters interactions. Like the kid (whose name I forgot) not wanting to eat any sushi in case the other guys aren't taking care of the entire bill. It's these small things that make these chapters so enjoyable despite almost nothing happening. |
