| The only blackmail NTR I've seen, the man tricked the husband into giving him some vital info on the company that he then threatens the wife with leaking if she doesn't play along with him (which would cause her husband his job, and potentially jailtime) but only for a month, because then the info goes public anyway, and the blackmail will no longer have any power. I actually disagree with the people saying that plot doesn't matter in porn, for NTR at least, I think the setup is very important. If I can't buy the reason for the affair in the first place, then I can't get into it. I don't enjoy NTR where the wife just up and decides to cheat for no reason, so there has to be some kind of catalyst that causes the eventual downfall. |

| A fair number of them seem to hinge on Very Japanese Concerns, like the Ugly Bastard janitors who catch a teenage couple kissing or whatever and use the pictures/videos to threaten their university aspirations, and by extension their entire life/employment trajectory. (Because apparently nobody's made the connection between telling kids that romance and sex are taboo throughout their formative years and plummeting national birthrates.) And seeing female characters who can easily punch the male lead into the stratosphere becoming suddenly helpless when attacked or grabbed by male villains is not unique to hentai, NTR or otherwise. |

| Yes, it is incredibly dumb (for the most part). In some situations it is more believable, e.g. if the incriminating pictures are really bad or if there is just no real way to get them back. Here's a thought though, dumb things can be extremely entertaining. I love it when I read a doujin and they make fun of something that is dumb in the real show or they just create a really dumb scenario that you just cannot help but laugh at. I saw an image once that is honestly legendary, it is probably the most stupid thing I have ever seen. It was a picture of nano from nichijou, if you know you know :) But boy was it hilarious, it still makes me laugh. I'll go a step further, it's not just funny but it can be even hot when the characters say something stupid. For example, you know that thing that happens when the guy is about to nut and the girl must yell the obligatory something something "fill me up", "I'm going to go crazy if you..." or whatever. I've heard these lines a million times, its boring, but sometimes they'll say something stupid like "pyu pyu me with your meat gun", and look, there is absolutely no doubt, it might be one of the most stupid lines you have ever heard, but it matches the intent of the scene that the seggs is so good that the girl is just losing her mind. Anyway, maybe that's just me, but I will take a weird line over a generic line every day of the week. |
