| It's impossible to write a wits battle anime without doing such thing. E.g. LotGH commanders choosing to split their formation for no reason, so that the enemy's strategy will work. |

Now that's factually incorrect about Detective Conan - there are several characters who are way smarter than Conan, like Vermouth, Rum and even his own father. (Maybe the original Kaitou Kid too, who now goes under the name Kaitou Corbeau) Also there are several characters who are on par with him, for example Hattori Heiji, Akai Shuichi, Rei Furuya and Kaitou Kid. |
