Hi welcome! This is the place to be on MAL if you want to talk about manhwa! The idea is once you finish or catch up to the current chapters of a manhwa. You just simply come share here what you thought about it without SPOILERS. Try to talk cryptic in general. If another MAL user would want to engage further talk with you here, don't forget to use the SPOILERS TAG. Of course you can always continue your talk elsewhere, like on each others profile. Also feel free to mention other manhwa as comparision. So other MAL users might pick up on some they haven't seen or heared before. The goal is simple! By watching who red what, you might find soulmates that can recommend each other stuff you'll highly like. The rules are simple: 1) NO SPOILERS 2) I suggest you use the name of the manhwa that MAL uses (you can also direct link to that particular page to make it easier for others). In case MAL does not have a page for the manhwa, just use the same title as where you found it. (MAL pages usually contain the alternative titles under 'Synonyms') I'll give an example --> Teenage Mercenary VS Mercenary Enrollment (the title it has on multiple sites where you can read this manhwa) 3) I would also like to say that this can't be a chillout zone for manhwa if we jump at each other throats when you see someone liking something you personally didn't like/hated. We do not gather here to harass or flame each other, we simply gather here to share our experiences and thoughts & find like-minded people. Oh here's a short list of commonly used abbreviations for those that aren't very familiar with it (yet): MC = Main Character (often male) FL = Female Lead OP = Over Powered *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* *-*_*-* Alright! I'll be the first to kick off then! The last one I catched up to was SSS-Class Revival Hunter The pace is in this story goes rather slow compared to others, but that is mainly because there's a lot more focus on the writing aspect and making sure the reader knows what the characters are thinking. While you might say that the MC is pretty strong, he does not exert his strenght to gain victory effortly and flawlessly. He tackles his problems with a more soft approach in mind, always having a deeper meaning that you, as reader, are always curious to find out how things will turn out. Currently I'm reading After Ten Millennia in Hell, so as soon as I catched up to it, I'll come tell something about it!

Thanks once again for letting me know about this thread. I think I'll try this (though I'm not sure how well I can describe what I'm reading without perhaps accidentally spoiling something - so yeah, I'll probably not be very cryptic either). Anyway, here goes: So I just caught up to My Father, the Possessive Demigod. First things first, - the title is kind of misleading, and might've hurt this webtoon's adoption rate too. In particular, the protagonist (and her father too obviously), indeed have certain attributes that make them sort of demigods - called Astariols - in their universe. These attributes include superpowers, a specific hair and eye color, as well as ...autism (not sure how else to call it, but they are rather lacking in their people skills, so much so that they seem to be coded as autists to me). At any rate, the protagonist tends to feel different from everybody else, including her twin sister, who was born "normal" instead, and this sentiment is explored quite a bit, but thankfully, she has a lot of people around her to support her; the aforementioned father (who is btw overprotective rather than possessive - hence why I said the title was kind of misleading), her mother, as well as her twin sister, who is a very sweet and very good kid. As such this is for the time being a coming of age story, where the protagonist learns more about herself and her astariol nature, and also learns how to interact better with the people around her. Once again, here's hoping this topic will get more traction (it would be kind of awkward if we end up posting all by ourselves after all).

Hey! I just caught up to 6 stories where I was behind by 50 chapters. I am trying to catch up to many things, I am going by chapters I am behind, so in fact in the last month I caught up with everything till 50 chaps, now the behind by 50-60 chaps are starting. XD ORV is one of the manhwa i just caught up, I like it, the story is good and the art is consistently amazing. Tho I dont like most of the characters, there are so many annoying one. XD I think this is why I was behind by so many. The Worn and Torn Newbie is the 2nd one I caught up with. Its a typical manhwa, where we are playing in a game. This one is not my favourite, there are many good rpg manhwas, this is a little generic, and again I dont like the characters. XD The Legendary Beasts Animal Hospital is the 3rd one, I think it is not too famous. The main character is a veterrinarian who starts to see spirits and legendary beast and ofc, they beast will become her next patients. The idea is interesting, its a good one if you just want to relax with something. Return to Player is the 4th one. Its a typical Earth had an apocalypse with monsters, I died and went back in time story. There are a few interesting ideas in it, but again, the female characters are so annoying. XD I think i shouldnt talk about what I caught up with, because they arent really my favourites, but well, you asked exactly this. XD 5th one is a manga, and the 6th is called The Undefeatable Swordsman which is not on MAL. This is a Murim manhwa, and its good, but the art sometimes is a little rough.

Today I caught up with L.A.G, this is not on MAL, but its really interesting. I don't like horror/gore story, but I like this manhwa. Its quite brutal and bloody, I saw more flying head in this than all of my other 500 manhwa, so I wouldnt recommend it anyone who cant bear it. The basic story reminds me of the Maze Runner movies. The art is rough but its really fitting to the story.

^ Cool, I was just about to start something new. LAG sounds very promising! Luckily I found it ^^ I just finished with After 10 millenia in hell I really love the MC here, despite being for so long in hell & becoming the Demon King, he's still a human at heart. He's very helpfull, caring & protective towards his new friends since his return to Earth from Hell. But... at the same time he's just straight ruthless & cunning towards his enemies. Aside of the MC, there's an underlying story that still hasn't been unpacked yet. It is yet a mystery to see how it all unfolds. The current worldbuilding is the typical story of the sudden emerge of Gates in the real world and people being elevated as Players that gain EXP, unlock skills and improve their skill levels. The MC more or less breezes through this leveling system effortlessly thanks to his demonic powers he gained in Hell by becoming the Demon King. He doesn't have full access to all powers in the beginning when he arrived back at Earth, but slowly and surely he unlocks all of his cool demonic powers & hopes to eventually even transend his previous powerlevel as the Demon King of Hell. The art is impeccable aswell.

First thanks for letting me know about this thread and second, i apologize in advance if my review isn't that good, i usually don't write what i think about Manga or Manhwa. I recently started reading "Surviving The Game as a Barbarian" It's a relatively new manhwa and there aren't that many chapters and it isn't on MAL yet, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Short Summary: It all starts with our main character, who has always been in the hospital since he was young and learned to love games there because he could never really do anything else. At some point, however, even that got boring, but then he discovered the game "Dungeon and Stone", which he then tried out and got addicted to it pretty quickly. After 9 years he finally made it to the final boss room, where the game then asked him if he wanted to enter the room, at the risk of never coming back. When he then decided to do so, he suddenly wakes up in the game as a barbarian and must now defeat this game. While there aren't that many chapters yet I would still say it's pretty good and has potential. In my opinion, the art style is also pretty good, but nothing unique. The next thing I want to catch up to is ORV and I'll probably start with "After Ten Millennia in Hell" after it got so much praise here.

| I caught up with 6 stories this weekend. I would recommend World's Apocalypse Online, this is a really unique manhwa. Its a mix of an apocalypse and a murim world and as time goes on the plot is getting thicker and thicker. Also, the art is amazing. Its not on MAL sadly. The 2nd I caught up with is The Strongest Florist. Its an RPG manhwa what concentrates mostly on humour. The art is average but there are many hilarious scenes in it, and the mc is likable. Fist Demon of Mount Hua is a murim manhwa. The main character is interesting, he has a disability but it wont stop him to become really strong. You have to get used to the art, but its fitting to the story. 4th one is Reincarnation of the Veteran Soldier which is not on MAL, I am not a fan of this one, but the setting is interesting, its kinda unique, but I couldnt get to like the characters. The Legendary Mechanic is another unique one where the mc wakes up as an NPC in a game he beta tested. The story of the game is interesting, and how he handle the players is something I havent seen in other manhwas. This one is not on MAL either. 6th one was a manga. Mr_Libra said: It sounds interesting, I added it to my Want to Read list. :DFirst thanks for letting me know about this thread and second, i apologize in advance if my review isn't that good, i usually don't write what i think about Manga or Manhwa. | This time I'd like to talk about some stories I've read lately. The first one is I’m Not That Kind of Talent. I particularly like this one and I think it's funny, it's about Deon Hart, a very sick man with a weak body. However, due to a series of misunderstandings, everyone thinks he is the strongest. This leads to some dangerous situations, from which he emerges successfully, which leads to further misunderstandings. The second one is The Swordmaster's Son. As for this, I'm a big fan of the art style and the story. This is about Jin Rucandel, who is a member of the most well-known Swordmaster family, but was kicked out of the family for having no talent for the sword, but when he died it turns out it was due to a curse, which is why he returned being sent back in time as a baby, only this time without the curse. The last one is Revenge of the Iron-Blooded Sword Hound. This one is pretty similar to "The Swordmaster's Son" and I really like the art style here too. This is about Vikir van Baskerville, part of a secondary line of the Baskerville family, who was raised as a hunting dog for the family, but was executed by the family after completing his mission. However, he was sent back in time as a baby and now wants revenge. |

^ I liked The Swordmaster's Son aswell, I'll definitely pick up your third one! :D I catched up with: Overgeared my favorite 1 among the VRMMO genre. It did not disappoint. The MC here gets the exclusive legendary class of Pagma's succesor (blacksmith). Pagma is a legendary known NPC within the game 'Satisfy' that passed away like 100 years before the start of the game Satisfy. NPC's in Satisfy are, act and respond like real people and their level is much higher then the players (probably to avoid being killed). If you like the VRMMO genre, give this one a try! ELECEED another one of my alltime favorites. It starts rather slow, but the comedy guides you through the slow build up of the story in the beginning. Once the MC has his band of brothers, it oozes bro vibes everywhere and the MC starts as a real gentle sweet guy that slowly but surely evolves into a fearsome fighter that won't hesitate to use his powers to protect everybody, not just his friends & family. His growth as a fighter is all thanks to the guidance of his master, Kayden, who is currently a cat! Highly recommendable! Doom Breaker now is a good time to jump into it for the MC, who regressed back into time by his own volition, has succesfully altered the course of history for the better for the first time. The art is amazing (I <3 dragons) and the story set up is solid. Teenage Mercenary the start of this one was a F great testosteron rollercoaster. that just wouldn't stop. 1 Thing after another non stop, untill you get to know a wider cast of characters that's when the pace starts to slows down, only to pick it up again. If you like CQC (= Close Quarter Combat), it won't get better then here. Even knife fights are often present. The art style is very fitting and the action is drawn supremely, you can really easy imagine the flow of the combat. Try it out if you're into MC with bad ass skills. Villains are destined to die this one does not have a male MC, but a FL! It has nothing in common with all the previous one I metioned here. The best asset of this one is the writing combined with the art. When I gave this 1 a try I got sucked into the whole story. The FL was a normal girl playing a visual novel game and by the next day she got isekai'ed into the game as the villainess. She knows death is lurking behind every corner, so she treats carefully to avoid an early death. I won't say more to avoid the fun of exploring this one yourself. The Slumbering Ranker If I love Overgeared for the exclusive class the MC has and how he deals with it, this one offers the same thing to a minor extent. It doesn't have as much chapters as Overgeared, but so far I like his exclusive class and the cast of characters around the MC is growing. It definitely has the potential to become great as Overgeared, I have high hopes for it. Worn & torn newbie I agree with YayakoChii on this one. It misses a certain 'je ne sais quoi'. With the current 139 chapters I can't really say this is a great one and a must read. I keep up with it, only because I already started it, but I wouldn't recommend this one to many people unless they desperately want to read another VRMMO manhwa. Taming Master started pretty fun, a VRMMO manhwa where the MC gets the exclusive legendary class of taming master. With this class you can catch monsters that fight for you, like Pokémon. Sadly this one for me personally also misses a certain 'je ne sais quoi'. I wouldn't recommend this one either, unless you really want to read another VRMMO manhwa. That's it for now. I'll probably start reading LAG now and Revenge of the Iron-Blooded Sword Hound.

Coaghim said: Glad to hear, I'm excited to hear your opinion. That's it for now. I'll probably start reading LAG now and Revenge of the Iron-Blooded Sword Hound. Since I wasn't busy right now, I thought I'd tell you a little bit about my current favorite Manhwa: The first is Tower of God. My absolute favorite manhwa where I look forward to the new chapter each week only to be disappointed that it's already over. Unfortunately, the manhwa with 550+ chapters is too long to summarize it briefly, so I won't even try and just tell you that this manhwa is a must read in my eyes. The second is Barbarian Quest. This is about Urich, a young barbarian/warrior who has strayed from his clan and crossed the "Sky Mountain Range". Arriving on the other side, he then discovered many new things, and now earns his money there, first as a gladiator and later as the leader of a troop of mercenaries that roam the country. Also a must read if you don't have a problem bit of blood as it can be very bloody. In my opinion, the art style is breathtaking and probably one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Next, I'll tell you about two manhwa's that have already been completed, in case you don't always feel like having to wait for the new chapters and want to finish reading something. The first is The Boxer. As the name suggests, this is about boxing and is a sport Manhwa, so not necessarily something for everyone. The story is about the boy Yu, who was always brutally bullied as a child, which caused his emotions to become deadened and he didn't care if he was hit, even though he could easily dodge the hits. That all changes when he meets the trainer "K" who turns him into a boxer. And the second one is The Return of the 8th Class Mage. This is about Ian Paige, a powerful magician who killed many people for the Emperor "Ranger" only to be betrayed by him. However, Ian can send himself back in time with his last magic to take revenge. Just thinking about it, I realize that I'm quite a fan of revenge stories, so if you know any, feel free to write a recommendation. Mr_Libra said: Just thinking about it, I realize that I'm quite a fan of revenge stories, so if you know any, feel free to write a recommendation. Nano Machine pops up into mind :D MC does takes sweet revenge :p For those that don't know this one... -> The genre of this manhwa is murim. The MC is just an average rather weak clanmember who is about to be assassinated by rival clans simply because of the bloodline he represents. Suddenly literally a time traveler came back from the future to inject our MC with a future AI in his bloodstream => dubbed NANO MACHINE. Thanks to this 'cheat' our MC isn't killed & grows fast into a very strong character. The first arc is revenge on those that supressed him & those who wanted to kill him. The second arc for me is unknown for I have to resume reading :P (I'm letting the chapters build up) Also the one I mentioned earlier After 10 millenia in hell This MC is not really on a path of revenge, but he will do everything in his power to protect his beloved Earth. He has not enjoyed his 10k time in Hell & doesn't want to end up there again nor change Earth into a hellscape. So he does share most elements of other MC that are on a path of revenge, meaning determination, no hesitation and ruthless decision with an extra spice of cunning deception. return of the Mad Demon with the little amount of chapters he has yet to actually take his revenge, but I really liked this MC, his attitude and the humor it generates. I have high hopes this will turn into something even greater! For those that don't know this one -> This manhwa is also within the murim genre, the MC dies in the beginning of the story? Not really! He got a second chance! A chance to become even stronger then how he was previously, he has a clear goal about what he needs to achieve to not only bring change, but to attain a higher power level. You see the little steps he takes towards that utlimate goal (that is not even close to completion). As mentioned earlier, his great cocky attitude is funny. ___ Leveling with the gods the premise of this story is the same as Doom Breaker. The MC goes back into time willingly to alter the course of history to a more favorable situation for humanity. The art is a heavenly bliss, the characters are supreme & the story is very interesting. I can only praise & laud this manhwa. I have actually been looking for completed manhwa! :D So thanks for those 2, I will surely read them! I have only red 2 completed manhwa uptill now. I'll tell about them another time ;) |

Oh well guess I'll join the conversation too, why not! Today I've not read much, but still a couple chapters of two manhwa: 1) 1 Second, it's about firefighting and it's been a pleasure to read, also nice to see and learn some stuffs you normally wouldn't come often in contact with while reading/watching animanga. Now I'm reading it on the LINE webtoon app, which means max one chapter daily but okay it's fine. Beginning is possibly something you just have to get through to get to the good stuff, as it goes with many manhwa. 2) Tiger Coming In, a nice comfy comedy-family manhwa that is so endearing and lovely to lose yourself in the wholesomeness of the story. Had plenty of times in which I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud. Definitely worth a try!

And now I would like to introduce one of my favourite theme, the medical tag. I love these manhwas. For trying out this theme you should check out Medical Return. Its a really amazing one, the mc is likable, the art and the story is good. Plus, its finished with a good closure. If you like this, I would recommend to try these one too: A True Doctor -> An intern tries to save a hiker who got to be a famous doctor, although he couldnt help him, he gaines his knowledge. A.I. Doctor -> A cute A.I get to reside in the mc who helps him in his medical studies. Doctor Player -> A normal person in a medieval fantasy story gains modern medical knowledge. Doctor's Rebirth -> A doctor reincarnates into the Murim world, where he will try to modernize the medical care. Level Up Doctor -> A surgeon reincarnates into someone else's body, so he can start over 'his' life with a little addition, a system. Perfect Surgeon -> The mc accidentally absorb an AI which cause him to gain a system-like help. Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour -> Probably the most normal story, the mc tries to revitalize the trauma center. Super Genius DNA -> The main character is a scientist in the medical field, he get infected with an artificial cell what will help him in his research. Divine Surgeon -> Another doctor reincarnates into the Murim World. The Ghost Doctor -> A high schooler touch a scalpel which makes him see the scalpel's past owner, a famous doctor who will help him become a doctor. I love literally all of them. X'D

I recently made it through the manwhua cycle of not reading for 3 months and then reading up to and starting 20 more new ones. Here are some notable ones I really enjoyed or think need more attention: Most of these series don't involve a OP MC and have some wild premises. Reborn rich - An awsome series. The author clearly knows thier history and economics or is at least a good researcher. I enjoy the drama but really enjoy how the real world and the one the story is making interweave, making a whole new tapystry. Really an enjoyable spin on the reborn genre. The Tax reaper: Im a huge sucker for stories that seem randomly generated and BIG GOV. So this is practically made for me. I recommend if you like finance, drama and minor superpowered mystery. MC isent overpowered so that's a big plus. The only issue I can think of when reading this is getting confused with all the naming and terminology. Art is alright, the scale and presence of the metaphorical art is great, while the normal character art isent anything to scoff at. Read it if your looking for something different yet realistic....and have a MASSIVE JUSTICE BONER. Lore Olympus: Heavyweight, Lore Olympus needs no introduction. As a S tier webtoon, LO has broken some fantastic records and is one of the oldest series on webtoons. I finally started reading it for real in person after picking it up in my local library, and was hooked. Elevator pitch: All your favorite parts of the Olympic gods with all your favorite parts of romance & drama webtoons, with a sprinkle of coming of age plot to bind it all together. Helps that the mc starts as a cinomen roll and that the author gives every character a chance to show thier perspective. That just shows strength and depth of writing this series has and if you give it a chance you'll think so too. Just don't quit early. Surviving as a Fish. Another nonesensicle premise. BUT OML does it hit the ground running. An epic webtoon that takes you on a thrilling underwater adventure where escape is the ultimate goal but survival is the current one. In a world filled with danger and intrigue, you will follow the journey of a small fish as it fights to stay alive and navigate the treacherous depths of the ocean, trying to outrun the clock to stop the murder of his wife, and bring justice to the villain, his once blood brother turned killer. Those are all my schizoposts for now. Enjoy them if your looking for something out there.

Oh snap, I think I have to quit for some time now I red L.A.G and it instantly reached the stratosfere. Wauw, just what I always wanted & love. Not much to say about L.A.G except it's filled with trustissues, doubts, flying heads, skulls bashed, missing limbs & death looming behind every corner. The artist offers an interesting fitting art that matches the whole set up of L.A.G. The MC knows he's stuck in L.A.G (= a roguelike hardcore dungeon crawler). The story starts with yet another death of our MC (= reset of the run in L.A.G), While thinking the beginning is relative easy, cause he passed through it quiet some times. He quickly discovers that this run in particular is new & special compared to all previous runs, the MC starts to wonder if this might even be his final run. Starting chapter 50 the story adds another layer to this L.A.G. mystery. So far so good, people keep dying and the situation is often gritty and tense, never relaxed, not even in the safe zones.

Hello there, nice to meet you all. As for the starter... you guys can read Castle manhwa. It has 120 chapters listed on mal, but there are 122 on tachiyomi. I have read up to 105, then restarted again, due to not reading it for a while. Castle has the best hand-to-hand fighting choreography you can not get enough. It's about gangs, assassins, and revenge. happy reading. P.S: It will be very interesting to see Castle in anime format. although... that won't be happening.

Time to dust this place of & see if it can gain some more traction this time. I assume manhwa is now more popular then 2 years ago? I recently gave a list of recommendations to someone asking, so I figured to copy paste (+rework) the rather huge reply here. It could help somebody else who's looking for something. All these recommendations are action oriented (isekai, regression, hunter guilds & VRMMO), no romance, no drama & no mystery: A Flame Reborn - Do you know Kingdom? I get those vibes, MC that regresses and wants to save his family house andthus by training early and taking advantage of having knowledge of future happenings, he extends his family house influence. I didn't rate it as high, because of the lack of character interaction with his team. It's more focussed on the MC speedrunning the whole thing lol A Ranker's Guide to the Good Life - this one has a Female Lead, which is pretty rare, I liked it & I hope to see more. There's only 1 season atm, not even 50 chapters. After Ten Millennia in Hell - Honestly as the chapters go on, I'm loosing interest in this one, but it started pretty good. It's about a guy that falls into Hell and survives for 10000 years by becoming the Demon Lord that rules all Hell. Even after 10K years he still yearns to return to Earth and 1 day he succeeds. While he lost most of his powers, he's set on regaining his demonic powers and help out clearing gates by joining a hunter guild. Blink Master of the Magic Academy - Big cast of characters and interactions between them, interesting story with nice art. A gamer who finished the game with the weakest game character gets sucked into the gameworld at the first stage as that same weak character. Since he knows the plot of the game story and how to build his character, he initially aims to be an important side character so the gameworld could play itself out. In a (un)lucky way, his presence influences that game story progression and he gains the role of protagonist. While many side characters originally met their early death in the game story, he vows to try to save them all in order to reach the 1 true ending. Doom Breaker - Cool regression story with a slightly edgy MC & amazing art. Sadly it's on a rather lengthy hiatus atm, I truly hope to see more seasons of it at some point. Eleceed - A distinct art style, a very wholesome MC, big bro vibes among MC and his crew, MC's sensei can turn into a cat and in the beginning of the story this brings quiet some comedic relief. God of Blackfield - This one isn't gamerelated like many others I have mentioned, the MC does regress but doesn't have magical powers. He's a mercenary and the action is more centered around knife fights, CQC (Close Quarter Combat) & shooting. Helmut - Strong MC, character interactions with others that give some little comedic relief. The story started with the MC being outcasted as a baby to a big primal forest where demon beasts reside. Thx to the dark seed within his heart, the baby survives and gets found & nurtured by a local demon tiger beast. Sometime later a swordsman gets outcasted to that same forest aswell and eventually he trains the MC to become strong without explaining anything about the outside world. Tbh the MC is kinda like still puzzling out the intricate worldbuilding atm. The story unfolds slowly as you read on. Jungle Juice - This one is very special, big recommend if all others have failed you. The MC in this story unfortunately gains bugpowers and enters a society full of people that have these bugpowers. Nice art, a big cast of characters and an interesting story. Level Up with the Gods - I loved binging this one, but once I catched up, I didn't find it very enjoyable to read 1 or 2 chapters. Still a good recommendation, solid story, cool art & a regressing MC that is very calculating and laserfocussed on working towards his goal. Memorize - If you love D&D, this is one that gives huge D&D vibes. Sadly it has been on a rather long hiatus, so I can't recommend it truly, because it's unfinished, a work in progress. BUT if you want to read something solid and entertaining, this can entertain you for 100 chapters and who knows, someday it might continue? *fingers crossed* Nano Machine - These manhwa often get the tag 'murim', because the story is always based in China and it is focussed on the world of martial arts, the Jianghu. Personally I'm not a huge fan of murim, but I can recommend this one, because the first 111 chapters conclude the revenge arc & I'm a big fan of revenge :P If you like it, you can continue this story uptill almost 300 chapters atm. Return of the Blossoming Blade - This one is also murim, but I love this one! The art of the MC is so funny! Crazy face expressions, the MC does not regress, but reincarnated in a new body 100 years after his death, his sect has declined in the meanwhile and he wants to restore the old glory of his sect, MC is strong and cocky. Used to be in my top 10. Sadly it hasn't released any new chapter in a year now, let's hope it does continue! Return of the Mad Demon - Another murim, similar to the previous one, but without the comedy. If you like murim, you will like this one. Surviving the Game as a Barbarian - I recently started reading this one & catched up in an 'instant', I really loved it. It's among my top 10 now, I even wrote a brief review lol Check it out for more info, big recommend! Teenage Mercenary - Looking for a testosteron trip filled with action? Look no further, this teenage merc is top notch in his field and shows you how to shoot, how to knife fight, how to CQC like a pro, there's nothing this guy can't do. Very fun read, only problem is storywise it doesn't really have a clear concise goal. There's is a valuable story, but lately it feels like the MC is doing a hurdle marathon, after being presented a hurdle and passing it, he just gets a new hurdle. This becomes quiet repetitive. Still this little critique doesn't devalue the fun testosteron trip you actually get. High paced action, represented in cool art. Definitely give it a try if you want action that isn't game related or isekai or regression. The Boxer - Just for the art alone, you need to read this. The art is so good you get to feel the power of punches being dealt. Real special manhwa, a must read for anybody who starts reading manhwa and wants to read the classics. The Knight King Who Returned with a God - I love this one! Among my top 10. This one, you either really love it or you hate it. The story goes like in Solo Leveling, there are gates that the guilds need to tackle & when a SS ranked gate spawns, the panicked guilds send a fast repons team toward that gate. There they find 1 naked man who already cleared the SS rank gate by himself, since the world within the gate is doomed, the guilds escort the guy out the gate towards Earth. From this moment the manhwa shifts the story to follow this man, Leon Dragonia Lionheart, proxy of the Pantheon. The MC, Leon, is also drawn with funny faces like in Return of the Blossoming Blade, cool art & a growing cast of characters. The Knight Only Lives Today - While I'm not a huge fan of murim, I'm a fan of Knights and Swords. This one is perfect for me, just a regular dude that dies on the battlefield but strangely respawns. Like the movie of Tom Cruise, Edge of Tomorrow. Apparently the Grim Reaper wants to punish the MC (for unknown reasons atm) by letting him die repeatedly, but the dude accept this challenge and vows to overcome everything that is thrown against him. This changed the manhwa into a kind of Dark Souls. Very fun read to see how he struggles, but adapts and overcomes every challenge that is thrown to him. Legend of the Northern Blade - This piece of art has the best combat art I have ever seen. The panels are so well drawn, you can deduce the flow of the combat. Very rare and special, the story is also pretty decent and 'friendly/easy to read' towards people who are not familiar with the murim genre. It follows the KISS principle, Keep It Short & Simple, a must read, a classic. The Regressed Mercenary Has a Plan - This one hasn't many chapters, but I already love it, because the combat art here is also pretty well and offers a brief flow of combat, not as good as in The Legend of the Northern Blade, but definitely much better then all the rest. For me the clear number 2 in representing good combat art. The story is comparable to The Flame Reborn, a regressing MC that wants to restore the glory of his family house. The Returned C-Rank Tank Won't Die! - With just 36 chapters, this one already captivated my interest. I love strong Female Leads and this is 1 hell of a crazy bitch lol. Top notch, I loved it, give it a spin to try it out & see if it suits you aswell. The Stellar Swordmaster - An excellent Knight & Sword manhwa. The MC starts weak with no influence and slowly grows in power and influence. Almost 100 chapters and now he will go explore the world, I'm very curious how this one will further develop. Currently it is on a (rather lengthy) break, hopefully it doesn't discontinue, it would be a huge loss, just like Doom Breaker. The Swordmaster's Son - This 1 started strong, I even rated it a 10. Sadly atm it stands at a 7/10. Give it a spin, you might like it. Personally it's an excellent binge, but it's not fun to catch up on it with 1 or 2 chapters each time. Better let it cook and read a good chunk of it. Trinity Wonder - 1 Of the first I have red, I liked it, because it's a short completed story of 102 chapters and it had everything, dragons, magic, robots & martial arts. Fun crazy little story. Last but not least, I got 2 of them. I started reading The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor when I started reading manhwa and I really loved the VRMMO trope. The MC simply plays a game in VR like in Sword Art Online, gets an exclusive job (a legendary sculptor) and plays the game with it. Sadly the series went on a hiatus and by now it's probably cancelled. However to my luck I came across Overgeared which is the same thing, just a different job (legendary blacksmith). This one is still ongoing, it's currently over 300 chapters and I adore it! If Eleceed is my number 1, Overgeared is my number 2!

I guess I'll do my part to revive "Manhwa Chill Corner". Coaghim said: Interesting, a martial arts/Murim Manwha that I haven't heard of before, maybe I'll check it out sometime.Trinity Wonder - 1 Of the first I have red, I liked it, because it's a short completed story of 102 chapters and it had everything, dragons, magic, robots & martial arts. Currently it is on a (rather lengthy) break, hopefully it doesn't discontinue, it would be a huge loss, just like Doom Breaker. I'll recommend two manhwa from a theme that I don't think has been discussed here very often so far. I'm talking about the workplace theme; it might sound a bit boring at first, but the two manhwaI'm going to recommend are, in my opinion, very exciting. The first one I want to talk about is "Reborn Rich". Link to Webtoon: https://www.webtoons.com/en/drama/reborn-rich/list?title_no=4956 Short description: It is a reincarnation revenge story in which the main character, after being betrayed by the royal family of the Soonyang Group, is reborn as the youngest grandson to the founder and CEO of Soonyang, Dojum Jin. The second one I want to talk about is "A Man's Man". Link to Webtoon: https://www.webtoons.com/en/drama/a-mans-man/list?title_no=2876 Short description: The story is about Han Yuhyeon, who became the youngest CEO of Hansung, but unfortunately, there's no one there to celebrate with him because of what he did to get into that position. After a night of heavy drinking and wondering if he could change the past, he wakes up in the body of his younger self. This time, he wants to do everything right and reach the top honestly.

I started reading and catched up to the latest chapters of Tyrant of the Tower Defense Game. I wrote a little review for it, so I'll copy paste it here: The old saying says to not judge a book by it's cover. This manhwa has more content to it then just a tower defense game as the title suggests. The MC is the first player who managed to finish the difficult game 'Empire Defence' on the highest difficulty after a decade of release. Immediately a prompt shows up on the screen where the director of the game congratulates him for this rather extraordinary achievement. The director also request the MC to come over there & help them out, the MC accepts the offer, but didn't realise he would be sucked into the gameworld as the NPC, Ash "Bornhater" Everblack, the 3th Prince of the Empire Everblack. In all his runs playing this game over a decade this NPC always died in the extremely difficult tutorial stage where everyone was supposed to die. Despite having an extensive prior knowledge on the monsters & game mechanics, the MC realises this isn't a game anymore, it is his new reality where he must survive. He managed to beat the game with 1 character standing, all the rest perished along the way. Ash vows to do his best to save as many people as he can this time. You'll see how Ash manages to tackle all the difficulties during the wave stages on the Southern Monsterfront. Despite having cleared the game on the highest difficulty, it is being even more difficult this time with extra challenges. Despite this, the real way to finish this dangerous predicament is to do dungeon exploring in the Lake Kingdom during the downtime between monsterstages. Lake Kingdom is the place where all the wave monsters spawn from to attack the Southern Monsterfront after a set period of time. The exploration of Lake Kingdom is a very interesting part of this manhwa since it has a certain resemblance with Dark Souls. The story of the manhwa always follows the perspective of Ash, so you'll see how Ash needs to manage his limited time between preparing the Southern Monsterfront for the next stage & explore Lake Kingdom to unravel the secrets and ultimately beat this challenge. Later in the story our MC even gets summoned by the Emperor of Everblack. In the capital city of the Empire you get to meet some key figures which brings a breeze of fresh air into the story since the MC never met all these characters ingame. The cast of characters around our MC grows & shrinks over time since characters can actually die. Despite the prior extensive game knowledge of our MC, he's certainly not overpowered in any way, nor are his fellow comrades. They must all be carefully nurtured by granting them better gear, setting a different job & leveling them up in the dungeon exploration of Lake Kingdom.
