| episode 7 This episode's showing their reactions towards Denji's abilties was pretty cool. And establishing that Denji's a "not-so-sane" character same for Aki. I also like the bar scene. Poor Denji having a dilemma on both 2 best girls in the series so far. XD Pretty relaxed episodes in this series. And oh my god, the vomit scene. What the heck. XD Good on Arai though, for helping Denji out. Also I like the ED, being like a video game. |
| I thought the vomit kiss was shocking enough, but Himeno's invitation was even more shocking. Omg, please tell me that they really did it. The ED is really fit the atmosphere. |

| Disgusting stuff and looks like Himeno's a pedophile I guess (maybe not in Japan since their age of consent is 16 which is at least better than their previous AoC of 13). Kinda looked like finding out that he was only 16 really motivated her, she's a hot chick though so there's nothing weird about it huh. Also makes Makima's manipulation of Denji with romantic and sexual expectations to get him to do her bidding look worse. |

| I love how everyone's just chilling and then drunk Himeno goes to kiss Denji out of nowhere and Makima just goes "oh my." And then as everyone freaks out over the puke-kiss, she calmly calls for some towels to clean the mess up. S-tier character. Some things I didn't notice the first time about Himeno here: she used her ghost devil to pull Denji's cord after he had passed out inside the eternity devil, setting him off again. Then once they're finally out of the hotel, Denji passes out again from several days of continuous fighting and blood loss, and it's Himeno who catches him before he falls to the ground. She had realized that Denji is someone special, someone who just might be crazy enough to face off against the gun devil. Also on her close-ups, we can see that they actually gave Himeno's eye patch a textured pattern. Also shout-out to the newbie Arai for accompanying Denji to the bathroom as he threw up, and being there for him as he wallowed in the pain of having his first kiss taste like vomit. What a good guy. Probably won't pay him too much attention, but he's actually a pretty good character, quite a real one as well. Sure a bit of a coward in the previous episode, but he acted like anyone would in that situation. Best scene in all of anime period: Makima: "Denji, are you going to kiss someone?" HELL NO. Himeno: "Aren't you going to kiss me UwU?" HELL YES. |

| The fight with the eternity Devil was intense, and it lasted 3 whole days?!?... That's insane, Denji is really incredible for that. Interesting how the Eternity Devil ended up helping Denji, because of how much blood Denji was able to get from it, making the fight really last for eternity if necessary. I was not expecting Denji to find the Devil's heart in all of that mess, and that the Devil would just give up, but no, he really was capable of just searching for the heart, and slice it. With that done, it seems like Himeno started to develop some feelings towards Denji, due to how crazy he is, because she was blushing at the end of the fight. Also, we got to know why Denji will be an amazing Devil hunter, because the Devils will be afraid of him. This 1st part of the episode was epic I must say. Then, we got a party with the whole unit, and I got the confirmation I asked before. Some episodes ago, I asked if Denji was really a minor, due to how brutal episode 1 was, and how sexual the characters were being with him, and althought he didn't surprise me, he really is only 16, the magic age for Shounen anime, it's either that or 17. We also got to see more of the other 2 rookies, that are a bit older than Denji. Although this moments was wholesome, especially with Denji not wanting to kiss Himeno in front of Makima (it was really cute), it got really disgusting fast, when Himeno kissed Denji, and with that kiss came a barf... THAT WAS SO DISGUSTING, LIKE, OH GOD... Poor little Denji, not knowing he would eat other's vomit... But why did he swallow it though? I didn't understand that, since he ended up vomiting all that after. This scene was certainly something I wasn't expecting. It was interesting to see how Makima knows something that others (including Denji) don't about Denji. I wonder how does the contract with Denji and Pochita work, and if there's something we don't know. Although Makima seems like she could really be faking it all, I just end up really liking her character. On the other hand we have Himeno... I understand why so many people like her, but in this episode I found it disturbing when she seemingly got more excited about Denji when she heard he was a minor... That was really weird for me, since it's clear that the other characters thought he was older. Not only that, she ruined Denji's 1st kiss, that seems like he wanted to be from Makima, and vomiting inside his mouth was just disgusting... The worst was the end of the episode, when she took him to his house, and he was still not conscious, and she just gave him a kiss (with beer, which she was worried he had drink before, at the dinner), and she just offered him something that we still don't know, but it's heavely implied it's sex. The thing with this is that, besides Denji being a minor, while it's not uncommon for these things to happen, in this specific case, Denji is not like other teenager boys, because all through his life he lived alone, only with Pochita, away from the society, only trying to survive, not having any opportunity to get to meet other people like now, so, in a way, he's more vulnerable in that regard, and it seems like Himeno is taking advantage over that, and I don't like it. Also, it seems Himeno just wants to show him she's better than Makima, because she's jealous that Denji and Aki have crushes on her... The end of this episode really left me disturbed, how did they just let Himeno take Denji to wherever she wanted? Let's see how all of this will turn out in the next episode. I wasn't expecting so much sexual tension in this anime honestly xD I didn't really like this ending though, the animation was great, but didn't vibe with the song, but it's only the 2nd ending, out of 7, that I didn't like, so... Also, I'm already more over than half of the anime, and there's still no 2nd season, which means Chainsaw Man is starting to get close to a finish :( Despite what I said now at the end, I'm still enjoying the anime a lot! Edit: Forgot to mention 2 things: 1 - Since I haven't watched anime in quite some time (Chainsaw Man is getting me back to watching animes), I think I'm already not use to these sexual jokes in anime. But my point still stands that the scenes with Himone and Denji were disturbing. 2 - I still wonder since episode 1 what's the importance of that "door" that the anime started with, when (probably) Denji was opening it, seemingly in a bad shape. This door also appears in the opening. I though this was the door to the exit of the place Denji was killed in episode 1, but the reality was that he didn't even reach the door in that scene, like they showed in the first seconds of the anime, and the door was also different, so I guess the first seconds were foreshadowing something that will happen much later, maybe in the end of this season? I wonder what though, since it seems like Denji was really in a bad shape, and if I'm not wrong, right after opening that door they cut to a scene with Pochita, so maybe that has something to do with Pochita. |

| This is where I started to fall off the manga a bit (though I've read all of it so far still), and it didn't change here. The scenes between Himeno and Denji are a messed up version of a bildungsroman romance situation, and I actually appreciate that. I really just dislike the whole Eternity Devil sequence though, and I am really, really glad that is over. The anime did a really good job at depicting the Himeno part with listlessness and a feeling of loss. |

So that's why this song exists! Now I know why... Is this 5/5? Love and Hate truly are 2 sides of the same coin. This was a fucking trip. |

| I wasn't prepared for how hard that kiss scene made me flinch. Traumatic isn't strong enough of a word, bro. Gotta imagine how humbled everyone felt when they learned they were graced by a 1000IQ (minimum) mind that entire time. |
| Not gonna lie the fight with the Eternity Devil was pretty cool to start off the episode it’s already off to a good start personally but I wasn’t expecting the after party as it were to be the main highlight of this entire episode altogether. So obviously it’s a work’s do, they get seriously hammered with the drink so to speak and Himeno has had WAY TOO MANY drinks at this point and she hasn’t forgotten that she has a promise to Denji that she would give him his first kiss but unfortunately for him the kiss doesn’t go according to plan and she ends up…for a lack of a better word…throwing up with vomit to the point Denji gets some vomit in his mouth. Even by Chainsaw Man’s standards it’s disgusting though it’s over the top that kind of borders on funny in a dark sort of way. And then before you know it Denji finds himself in Himeno’s apartment and hoo buddy they look they are about to have sex although I seriously doubt they are even going to do that considering Denji is underage anyway and it’s just a case of them both being drunk. To quote Ron Burgundy: “Boy that escalated quickly, I mean it really got out of hand fast.” Really liked that the ending had very 90s retro vibes to it, that was pretty cool to me seeing as I’m a kid from the 90s myself. Really loved the slice of life elements to this episode plus the action at the beginning not to say but it’s another amazing episode for me. |
