So I mean that's why my first thought after seeing Hiyori literally go tomato red in the scene where Koharu was gonna swim and then seeing her blush so many times while interacting with Koharu in general was that maybe there could be romance, thus the Yuri vibes.TsutanaiFuun said: RobertBobert said: @TsutanaiFuun "blushing too much" is normal when we talk about the shy character in moe show. I don't know how baitish it will be in the future, given that it's CGDCT and Kirara, but looking for romance only in the fact that the characters are blushing, that's meh. Seriously? Man, this is literally the most clichéd depiction of the shy character. If she was tsundere, then you would see it even several times more often. Why are people so obsessed with the idea that blushing can only have a romantic context? Though I'm not looking for romance at all in this anime, all I want is a wholesome, cute and relaxing moe anime. |

RobertBobert said: All blushing is not romance. Specifically blushing involving the MC and the potential love interest in a romcom is. I'm solely talking about the blushing involving MCs and not any character. In most romcoms for example in The Quintessential Quintuplets, the MC and the girls are both blushing while interacting with each other, it is implied they like each other on some level, not just because of the blushing but other things too, the blushing is like the confirmatory test, like overly blushy around each other = maybe they like each other. Yes just blushing doesn't necessarily mean that there is a possibility of romance between the characters but its true in the case of most of the romcoms. We see scenes of some friends blushing because someone said something embarassing, like in a scene in SnK, Eren says something really embarassing and all his friends are blushing, now this doesn't mean there is a possibility of romance between them. Blushing = possibility of romance depends on the situation and the type of anime. We can also take the example of Love Chuunibyo, in that Dekomori and Nibutani blush a lot while interacting with each other but we don't imply they like each other in romantic way because of the situation and everything, we all know there's no way any romance is possible between them, they like each other as friends, they are very close. On the other hand, in Slow Loop its very much unlikely that any kind of romance between Hiyori and Koharu will be happening but can one deny that there isn't even a little bit of possibility that maybe just maybe Hiyori likes Koharu in more than friends way? No coz its just first episode and we can't really judge everthing from just one episode. Yuri or not will all be cleared in the next few episodes. Though I too think that all the blushing is due to the shy nature of Hiyori, she's obviously an introvert so she's feeling very shy interacting with Koharu and thus the blushing. Though you cannot completely deny the possibility of Hiyori liking Koharu in a romantic way just by watching the first episode. Like I said earlier, I'm not expecting or looking for romance in this anime in any way, I just felt there could be a possibility of it.TsutanaiFuun said: RobertBobert said: TsutanaiFuun said: RobertBobert said: Haha I never said I was "looking" for romance, I don't know what made you think that. I mean do you care to give me some examples of romcoms where the MC and the potential love interest weren't overly blushy around each other and didn't like each other? True there could be other factors playing too but generally you only feel shy while talking to the person you like especially if you can talk normally with others but you have trouble finding words and are feeling shy while interacting wth that one person, then there's a great possibilty that you like that person. Does this mean that any show where a character ends up naked for some reason is hentai? If a female character sings in it, is it an idol show? LOL this is a completely unreasonable and cheap point which you are pulling just for the sake of argument, you and I both know that's not true. |

This could be understood if blushing was the ultimate romantic emotion, but it's not. Even the stereotype that being tsundere is being in love is not as stupid as that. I think there's no harm in continuing to think/hope that maybe some romance will happen between the characters until proven otherwise. |

Yeah of course its obvious but sometimes the situations play a major role too. Like Hiyori was blushing most of the time while intereacting with Koharu, it could either mean she actually like Koharu and is feeling self-conscious around her or she is just generally shy around people and blushes a lot, we don't really know so we jump to the former conclusion because that's what the majority of the viewers would like to watch. Also that you've watched too many romantic shows and now interpret every emotion as a romantic cliché is a pretty weak argument. Not every emotion but yes romantic emotions such as blushing, it might be a weak argument but can't really help but think that way just until proven wrong. It's fine, right? To think that there could be possibility of romance between any said characters especially if us the viewers would like to see them together. Now not that I want to see Hiyori and Koharu get together but just saying in general. Now we have to call any walk a date the same way? |

Not bad, depending on the supporting characters could be enjoyable I feel the more they touch on the new parent/family bullshit the less I will like this It's not so much Kirara's problem as it is CGDCT itself, which in terms of diversity is moe version of isekai. Most of the works use the same formula just by changing the setting. Yeah wasn't really arguing against Kirara, just that this show's setting is on the less interesting side of the Kirara spectrum |

Usually I quite enjoy these hobby slice-of-life anime, but for whatever reason this one is doing absolutely nothing for me. I know I very much dislike the overly-blobby character designs, but that's not the only reason by any stretch. I'll just recommed watching Houkago Teibou Nisshi instead of this. |

no interest in fishing, but this was cute wholesome, their backstories & remarriage adds a layer of family issues. I liked the cooking parts (& gorgeous food) & 'British' ideas. Surprise both parents barely can cook tho. |

As a vegetarian, I found that the detailed sashimi preparation - slicing the fish, showing the head and the guts on a dish and so on - didn't sit particularly well with me and my sensitivity to the topic. I'm a big horror fan, and I have no issues with violence on either people or animals on screen, but in this context, which is supposed to be wholesome and cute, I perceived it as out of place. Totally aware that it's a very subjective take : ) |

What are your other reasons? I would have loved to hear more of them. To me it's like a hybridized Yuru Camp and Houkago Teibou Nisshi so far, but despite the fishing premise being obviously more similar to Houkago Teibou Nisshi, the characters seem a little "softer", "gentler", "nicer" more a la Yuru Camp (but a little flatter/not as rounded, at least yet) than bratty Hina and the troublemaking thugs in Houkago Teibou Nisshi. |

Hiyori doesn't like talking with strangers, hm.. So now they became sisters.. It's harder to get along with the father at first, it seems.. Well, maybe with time.. Yeah, at the end of the day it's both of them (Koharu and Hiyori) having some unusual time interacting with new parent.. Hm.. So that's why Koharu reacted so much to the view of the sea.. She spent a lot of time in the hospital with asthma.. |

Love the dynamic so much and I look forward to seeing it in the future. And making them sisters by marriage adds an interesting twist to that dynamic. If there's ever a touching moment that was one of them calling the other "onee-chan". |
