So Karen explained the only way to save Alice, at least based on his foundings.

Also, it looks like Yuito and Kasane confronted visions of their best friends. I still find Karen's logic to be insane, especially the lengths he's going into trying to make it into a reality. His personality is quite similar between the game and anime by adaptation standards.

Ehh... Karen as a villain is a bit boring and dramatic. The dialogue with the dilemma between changing the past or looking towards the future could be stronger and more meaningful had the dialogue been worked on more. Even just saying "I can't be happy in a world without Alice" would make him a more compelling character rather than spitting a generic "I won't accept this!"

It was an OK episode.

Karen's such an anticlimactic villain. It feels like they built his moment up for ages and it just didn't deliver.

He actually says that about Alice in the video game. When you're fighting him as a boss at Sumeragi Tomb and he uses his Clone Charge Attack, he will sometimes shout "A world without her is worthless!" referring to Alice.

I think the change to Karen's final boss outfit from the game was actually pretty cool, with the long hair and side-bangs as well as him having Japanese-style mask markings on his face. Karen's final boss outfit in the game is still cool though as well.

The big bad villain...is Karen, and need to say that his reveal came off as being too predictable?

Karen is still traveling through time to find and save Alice and change the future, but the motivation of him to do so just feels like it's a wish-fulfillment of the pragmatic kind. To have his character play his role to reveal his true motive from then to now as a whole just comes off as Karen being a psychomaniac final boss.

ALL THIS, JUST FOR ONE PERSON. How low can Karen get to achieve his goal?

The reveals this episode...just leaves me dumbfounded. Commence the decrease in score to the most appalling, once again proves that Sunrise just likes to produce low-quality bat-shit stuff.

"Would Alice want you to destroy the world to save her?"

Umm...wouldn't a better argument be.."if you destroy the world, Alice is going to die one way or another, and if you let the world be destroyed, you are basically the one killing Alice"

Karen basically a heartbroken creep and stubborn bastard that can't let his unrequited love die in peace. No wonder he's become the last boss. No fight and let the talks narration slide, which is a boring decision. But for the good side, you are know being 1000% sure Karen is so bad villain and not really worth while being there. Idk how Scarlet Nexus end, even from the game. So despite thqt, i am still looking forward to see the last two episodes.

This is one of the most anticlimactic and boring last boss fight I have ever seen for an Shounen/Action anime. We skipped all the fighting and just when I expected them to at least have a short fight when they were connecting to each other using the SAS, we instead jump straight to the end (smashing Karen with that inverted pyramid)...
