| I really liked that piece he was playing at the start, too! I feel bad for the owner who just wants to play with them though, since he's obviously going to be replaced soon. He does seem like a nice guy. Hope he gets to stay involved with the band somehow. Also, it was a good sign that they already had inter-band conflict but managed to talk it out like reasonable human beings, hah. Nice episode. |

| Honestly wasn't expecting to come to the episode discussion thread with everyone feeling bad for the cafe owner LOL. I agree though, poor guy XD I'm really enjoying this so far. I watched episode 1 when the game came out at the beginning of this year, but had a lot of other stuff to catch up on. I really like Ren, he's such a soft character, I love his sort of timid voice, but then when he has something to say, he's not afraid to say it. It's feeling like the series will have serious moments, but also pretty light on the drama (which is the perfect amount, imo). Hopefully it'll stay this way! The only slight gripe I have so far is that some things go waaaay too fast. At the end of the episode, Ren runs back to Submariner...then few minutes later, Rio walks in, having already composed the song! I'm kind of wondering 1) how far is the Submariner from where they were 2) did Rio have a much faster way of transportation than Ren? Ultimately it doesn't matter, but it made me go ?? for a a good minute. Additionally, they were able to play the song right away, like not even everyone just looking at the score themselves and practice a bit. Of course I'm not looking for 100% realistic depiction, so again, not a huge deal. More like, it's a bit funny how well that went :') Loved the Goal Line perfomance though, one of my favorites when I was still playing AAside! I'm glad Rio was able to find something that could light a fire in him again, and Ren is honestly quite perceptive I think, I'm glad he went after Rio to talk to him ^^ Wataru also isn't actually too stubborn in the end. |
