I heard that Boichi wants to split the story into 3 part and this is only the first part.
The second part will be a prequel with his father and his creation and the third part a continuation.
But I do agree that even for the end of a part it was somewhat weak.

They could of made this at least twice as long in terms of pages for the final chapter.

What a shame.

this end was at least better than the one from Sun-ken rock. Still, great manga for the most part. And one of my top sci-fi experiences.

I saw someone wrote that as well that boich wants to make another prequel. But he wants to focus on DR.Stone.

I though the gravity manipulation and other super-natural powers got a little out of hand.

I did like that his side-kick survived though, albeit female??? haha
His/her death was the saddest for me.

Too bad for Hirose though :(

Would be cool to see s prequel and sequel. Origin's father seems like he would make for an awesome MC. The last chapter could end with him sacrificing himself for his robots/Origin to live. I picture him as the astronaut dad from Dr. Stone.

Ending was a series of:

- I've learned something new and now I'm the strongest one here! Mwahaha! Take this!

- Oh no :O Wait, I've just learned this something and even better! I'm now stronger! MWAHAHAHA! Take that!

- <repeat>

Absolutely rushed ending, although not a terrible one I guess. And a little disappointing to see a huge "magic" display of a fight, with super powers, etc.
Glad to see Junior again, would love to see him be the sidekick comical relief "Wise Master to Origin" in the possible sequel thats been mentioned.

Would love to see an anime adaptation.

@rxargyros The ending were seem ok but sadly hirose mai won't appear on the next sequel. She shouldn't be dead. I was hoping boich sensei make the anime version for the manga.

As usual.. Boichi stories are good at the beginning to middle but become weaker and rushed to the end. The story pace was really fast from the start of the Origin father's impersonator arc.

One thing I like from Origin is the battle. Origin did his best to overcome every battle and struggled with his limited budget.
Origin always calculate his move but in the end he used calculation power to increase supernatural power above 9000.
Cool Sci-Fi battles with detailed explanations turned to Dragon Ball type battles, really a disappointment..

"Dr. Stone is popular now, I don't have time for this manga so I need to finish this fast and just draw the summary plot" is what he might be thinking.

Im not very satisfied with the ending. He do it a bit rush. If the rumors were true that he's gonna make a prequel, i hope it much better than the 1st one.

The last third was massively rushed. I think he basically dropped is to focus on Dr. Stone. Shounen is where the big bucks are

Started decent. Middle section was a little better up to a few chapters after Hirose's death. Last third was dogshit. These have got to be some of the worst villains I've ever seen in a cyberpunk manga. Masamune didn't even have a reason to tell his robo-bros to kill Origin. What was the conflict even about? The "nirvana" and supernatural stuff came out of nowhere too. Still better than Sun-Ken Rock though. Also, the Ai-subplot basically had no meaning and impact to the story. Y was just a blatant plot-device. Amazing art as usual though. 4/10.

Boichi should team up with a good author and make some some action/psychological-thriller/horror manga.

Really fun binge, story had its up and downs but Boichii's art will always continually amaze me and keep me motivated to keep reading

damn that was a bit siappointing. all in all a quite entertaining read, but had many flaws and coulda been so much more. wont be too critical cos in the end it was enjoyable, just felt boichi unnecessarily tried his hardest to make it sadder than it needed to be.

I really loved the overall story and message until the last few chapters. But man what's with boichi and nonsense endings?
Well at least it wasn't as bad as Sun-Ken Rock's ending, That was awful.
