| Looking at 2017 and looking forward at what's coming out in 2018, I've noticed a trend of a lot of the shows that catch my interest are being headed-up by a new animation studio. Stuff like Devilman Crybaby, being handled by Science SARU, a studio which made it's debut in 2017 with Lu Over the Wall. Or Kokkoku and Golden Kamuy, both being handled by the newly formed Geno Studio, which debuted in 2017 with Genocidal Organ. Of course, there's other stuff by established studios that has also caught my interest, but it seems like a handful of new studios are on the rise. I wonder if the investment in new studios means a rise in Japan's economy. If that's true, I'm betting we'll see riskier and hopefully also more interesting projects coming out, which tends to be the case when there's a strong economy. |

| Some of those studios has directors who already have experience. Let's just hope none of them goes into a downward spiral staircase like Madhouse. |

| Onihei is the first and so far only work of M2, the most recent Studio founded by Masao Maruyama (founder of Madhouse and MAPPA) and I really liked it so I'd love to get more anime made by them. But I'm not sure if they even still exist, there isn't even anything announced for them as far as I know and Onihei aired a year ago. |

| Science Saru is Yuasa's studio, so we can expect cool things from now on. Just look at Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome, same animation quality as Tatami Galaxy from Madhouse, or even better. |

Will google it Yeah, i known, that's what made me curious. According to this blog it's his own studio. These are old knews but i wasn't aware of it |
| At least I hope those new studios pay their employees more than minimum wage. |
