| I didn't quite get the confrontation between the two bosses. If Fukuzawa was an illusion how on Earth did he block Gin's and that other guy's attack? The block of the attacks was clearly not an illusion because we saw Gin hold her hand in pain post-illusion. Post-confrontation and post-illusion we saw (the real) Fukuzawa sheath his katana. Does this suggest that Tanizaki somehow mixed the illusory and the real Fukuzawa together (i.e. let the real one block the attacks and projected a fake one duel Mori) in a flawlessly seamless way? Can Tanizaki really do that? The above head-scratching scene aside I loved the episode. Dazai and Chuuya clearly make a very good and lethal duo. So Chuuya can enter an "emergency mode" for ultra bad ass adversaries that he however can only use when paired with Dazai. Lovecraft appeared to be an actual Cthulhu, a kind of ancient cosmic entity or deity conceived by the namesake author H.P. Lovecraft. Chtulhu is one of the Great Old Ones per the Lovecraftian mythology, and taking him out is a much more impressive feat than this episode suggested. They basically managed to kill a god! |

| Double Black♡ CHUUYAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Omg he & Dazai are so sick together, I love this duo. This is the Chuuya screentime I’ve been waiting for. And L O L @ their bickering lolollllll fuckin Dazai just loves to & just gotta tease him, I laughed when Dazai pretended he lost his arm, wtf is wrong with him lol!!!!!!!! Usually I’d think comedy like this is so out-of-place but it just works with Dazai. I love how Chuuya is like, doesn’t even bother to hide how he was worried & so concerned about Dazai. And how they have like 100000 trademark flashy title battle moves from back then lol Omg Chuuya’s 汚濁 state. What a beast. ♡ I love Chuuya ♡ That ED definitely hit differently this episode. Chuuya trusts Dazai to get him out of 汚濁. And that weak punch to Dazai’s chest. BEAUTIFUL. Omg I love them. When Dazai called him partner :’) But he didn’t bring him back to base trollllol fuck Dazai man, what a legendary troller♡ |

| So no alliance with the mafia but we got the duo Dazai and Chuuya together taking care of Q where they hide her, and wow Chuuya's power is even more OP like that though Lovecraft is not even a power that's just hell xD good riddance, they exploded it from the inside |

| "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" doesn't seem as applicable when the enemy of your enemy is also your enemy. Does Dazai not consider the Port Mafia the "bad guys"? Did he forget nearly all of them are mass murdering criminals who have killed countless scores of innocent civilians and caused a fortune in property damage, despite having a long history with them himself? There is no reason the agency shouldn't believe the mafia won't gun them down when their backs are turned, regardless of this supposed alliance. No amount of banter he has with gravity boy will change this. |
