| I've once heard that Panty and Stocking /w Garterbelt was quite similar to Dirty Pair, having enough similarities to say Dirty Pair possibly inspired or influenced Panty and Stocking. Two hot-headed women along with their pet sidekicks trying to save the day while constantly screwing around and bickering, particular with no reserves about flaunting their sexuality nor causing collateral damage on the side? Yeah, I can see the resemblance. |
| Another original case working on a good idea and rather well presented (and hinted at). Despite the subject, it maintained the humour without being inappropriate. 5/5 Nice Krueger glove. While this series has more lows than I remembered it from my childhood, it's definitely an entertaining "action buddies" episodic show. Humour & bickering, action, colours and music all participate to make this a pleasant 80s product. Score: 6/10 (for the whole TV series, including the non-broadcasted pair of episodes) |

| This was a nice case that also offered more of a change of pace. Mystery and comedy were in sync. Overall a pretty fun series to pass some time. |

| This was a decent episode and while not intended as such was an okay finale for the TV series. Though obviously quite different to much of what the series has been i enjoyed the mystery and setup for this episode quite abit. Overall I liked Dirty Pair but it didn't quite live upto my expectations. The show was very action heavy and we didn't get alot of downtime for character growth. Stories were often fast paced and had alot to keep up with at times. Still I made my way through the show in just over 4 days which is about average for me with a 2 cour show so I enjoyed it well enough. Though not on the same levels as similar shows like City Hunter and Cat's Eye. Animation was very nice throughout, the stuff this show was doing was far more fluid and action packed than most other shows from this era that I've watched. Soundtrack was also very nice. The opening and ending were both very 80's and very cool, though the opening is a bit of an earworm. Onto the OVAs now! |
| Thanks to Crunchyroll obtaining streaming rights in Winter 2021, I have found another old, but good anime. It is amazing how a show from 1985 is able to be better animated than several modern shows. Now, It's been a while since I've played chess, but doesn't white move first? |

| Well, that was a really good episode! And I am not one that usually likes crime stories that much either, yet I still really liked it! A good way to end the official TV series, and it’ll be interesting to see what those last two episodes are like! |
| My final thoughts. The first impression was that this project is some sort of mix between Votoms (1983) and City Hunter, but with sexy chicks as protagonists. After finishing the OG of Dirty Pair I can confirm that this is the formula, but with a drop of Gundam. Tho the writing is complete nonsense, a "switch of you brain and have fun" kind of a deal. The visuals become better in Dirty Pair OVA (1987) and Original Dirty Pair: Flight 005 Conspiracy and the peak being Dirty Pair: The Movie. The writing is even a bit better...but only a bit. Nolandia no Nazo was almost unwatchable tho. |
| Great episode, and a respectful one end to the original broadcast. Very clever and funny in general, with a nice atmosphere. |
