| I was a bit disappointed by this episode, from the way the second season ended I was really looking forward to seeing Kaijo play straight way. With the set up for Kaijo's match thoguh I guess it just makes it more exciting. The interview was a nice touch, especially Koganei answering for Mitobe without even batting an eye. And of course the respective characters were coincidentally walking by as they were mentioned! |
| I didn't expect recaps from an interview. Cool new songs. I think the animation has got even better. The fight at the end, how come the boy looked to me completely different in middle school when he had grey hair? does he dye it now? I think he looked cooler with his hair grey tbh. Baby Kuroko on the end credits scared me lol. |

| Really? You know writing "bad guys" for the sake of being a "bad guy" isn't really new. So we get a guy who committed assault, tried to force himself on to a girl, chokes her mid air later on, and is just here for kise. Ok that was meh characterization for a character that it is already set in stone for me to hate. Other than that, yay for KNB? :D |

| Wow. I certainly expected some ass to get whooped when Haizaki Shougo grabbed Alex like that. I've been dying for Kagami to F shit up since they fought Kirisaki Daichi. It's very unnatural that that didn't happen. Especially when she being choked out like that??? For the first episode of the season, I don't know why they chose to do a recap. Wasted a lot of time that could've been used to look at Kaijo's team before the match. The next episode though will certainly be better. |

| What a fantastic kick off to the season, the recap on the first half of the episode was better than anything prior in the franchise, straight to the point and quick, hitting off the important bullet points only. The conflict that they set up reminded me of Himoro's introduction, a new character from the past making a return. |
| I hate recap episodes, but fortunately this didn't go for the whole length. But surely Kise didn't get a weakness that will prevent him to go all out in this tournament, right? That would be a real bummer. |

| i think i need the op to grow more on me, but the ed were like good KnB ed. for a minute i thought this is going to be boxing anime, good they didn't. i love that they start the season with unseirin match, it was missing to me in S2, and i also missed kise playing, wonder what he's gonna have in his sleeve. hiazaki for me is hanamiya replacemant. and the fast recap were nice, didn't drag too long but did good job summering S2 matches. |
| Not my favorite opening, but I love the start with the 4 remaining Winter Cup teams. Here comes Haizaiki, a guy that could be considered worse than Hanamiya. Funny how Alex, the one who's usually getting all touchy with others, got molested now. |

| Last season was straight up fire. Something that made it more than synonymous with hype. And so unsurprisingly the very first episode following the suit as well. Kind of a brief of the whole winter cup as of yet in the first half and then setting things up for the upcoming matches. We got the first hyped up character of this season, Haizaki, who's like a local school bully. Ladies beware!!! Hoping for some Kise masterclass. |
