I first watched it when I was young, so a lot of the sentimental moments really stuck with me and helped me connect with the series. I love it mainly for that emotional bond. But recently, I went back and revisited some scenes and even read a few chapters of the manga. I realized that some of those sad, sentimental moments that made me connect with the story now feel a bit forced, especially in the series. The first scene with him crying while sleeping stands out as an example of that overdramatic tone, but then you got more context and it doesn't give that feeling. Still, like I said, the series has a genuine connection, solid characters, and a lot to offer overall. It's not all about sadness there's also a big chunk of comedy that I really enjoyed when I first watched it.

I kinda forced myself to watch it because of all of what was developed in the previous season and yeah it indeed has some great moments but everybody should agree that the arcs are better on Season 1 (well it seems that not because somehow this season has a better rating than previous season).

It's fine, some moments are funny and sometimes even cringe or weird, well just a lot of eyebrow raise scenes, not a solid 6. It's more than that but definitely not as good as a 7.

but tdlr: Good 90s anime with amazing atmosphere, action and music that could've been a masterpiece if it didn't have explicit scenes.

Good solid anime but nothing to be crazy about, I liked a lot of moments and a high 7 but yeah not that good spokon type of energy. 50 damn episodes btw, only watched it because it was the only thing I had downloaded on Netflix.

Nothing special, really. I love this AI-driven future atmosphere, but this didn’t bring anything new. It was simply a mix of ideas and concepts that aren’t original. Not that I necessarily care if they’re new, but they aren’t special in any way, they’re pretty simple.

That said, I’m definitely biased because I love this type of world and atmosphere, and I did enjoy it, even though it wasn’t anything groundbreaking. I have to say, though, the beginning of the movie had so many scenes that made me cringe, especially when the AI girl started singing. I know that part was intentional, but still, a lot of the early scenes were cringeworthy. I’m too lazy to describe them all, but most of the moments when she was singing made me uncomfortable. Eventually, I just accepted them as if the movie were a musical.

Sorry, but I couldn’t stop thinking of other media while watching this. Maybe it’s because all the characters felt like caricatures, or better said, clichés. This was especially noticeable at the start of the movie. But after a while, you just shut your brain off, take it as a comedy, and enjoy the ride. The judo guy scenes were good and pretty funny overall. So despite everything I’ve said, the movie is quite enjoyable.

As for the plot, it was mostly stupid. Or rather, not well justified. If the goal was to create an AI robot indistinguishable from a human, there were way better ways to conduct the experiment. And some aspects of it were just absurd. For example, why didn’t the AI girl have cameras and microphones recording? They were monitoring her, but somehow, they didn’t realize she had shut down until it was too late? MASSIVE error. There were a lot of similar moments where the plot felt stupid, or the justification was weak (as we say in Spanish, "un guionazo de manual").

Yeah, the story doesn’t develop well, and at times, it’s almost unbearable how dumb it gets. But if you just shut your brain off, it’s enjoyable enough.

Nice concept and art, but it is an emotion provoking movie and for me it didn’t hit at all, even the message I didn’t enjoy it caused all the “What am I living for?” narrative I find it boring cause well we all have our personal ideas about this matter but you just live there's nothing more about I like a lot this sonnet from Francisco de Quevedo that I am just gonna raw translate it (obviously I don’t agree with all the ideas but you get the point:

Well a lot of text to make my point but what moves the story is the plot and if I don’t engage with it I just can't enjoy it that much, the concepts are pretty good and well developed plus the incredible art but these things are not enough to make me enjoy an almost 2 hours movie. And mostly why think about a future if you don’t have one, you don’t know what you will do until you are in that situation but man if you are stuck with that just suck it up read books and try to enjoy life in some way, if not try to solve it. It mostly feels as people live for emotion or rather they move for emotion, they feel numb from this “not moving” scenario they go crazy ("Not moving" cause their mind is moving and it's changing). It’s a nice concept that I didn’t connect with it as I said. But this is entirely subjective as my profile says I rank by how much I enjoy it. There are so many things that make this movie good but it just didn’t connect with me, even narrative things I didn't comment. Trying to justfiy it because it's a crime it's a 6 for me but.. well yeah.

But tdlr my feelings (I won't reread my old review): At first glance I was kinda enjoying it, you know typical cliche revenge anime that it would be nice. Then it converted in well I guess the most similar example is Solo Leveling or well any korean manga, strong guy with a harem, the white hair conversion at I think it was episode 3 already told me this was gonna get bad but I still wanted the revenge so I stayed, then it was some of the most wtf (not good) comedy. The "joke" I was more baffled people liked in the comments were when they inserted a metal pipe into a Dragon rear...

When i started this anime I didn't expect nothing, i knew the ending and have heard its very good but its a 70s anime hahah like what i am doing at this point. So yeah being so easy to just search the anime on the internet I just wanted to watch how a 70s anime looked like and yeah i simply started watching it and i was surprised, the first scene it just got me, the animation was very good and liked the style, and it did just simply transmit a lot, the aura it got like a freaking 70s anime considered a masterpiece, honestly baffling so just starting and having good animation, Joe walking by the wind while whistling, I was surprised and couldn't stop watching, a poor japan (that i was honestly unaware of) and the story just happening, and invested honestly very invested and couldn't stop, like honestly i watched the whole series in a week or less i dont rememeber. I was hungry for more, Ashita no Joe 2 surprised me again, not the same way as the first Ashita no Joe but it surpised me. For example. The first opening really gave me an impression cause yeah i enjoy the first one of the first series but this one i loved it (i am not talking about Midnight Blues, that its good but i am talking about Kizurake no Eikou), and yeah its mostly about the soundtrack and the whistling that gave me an impression, new ost that was very good and the style of ashita no joe 2 i love it aswell. I thought the one of the 70s was good but this is another level. Obviously i am talking about this aspects cause the story is same as good, just perfect and even though i come spoiled about the ending, there is just much more than the ending to ashita no joe, and even more sad moments like Carlos Rivera.

Funny but not the type of anime I would say people to watch, we have Shimoneta, Ishizoku Reviewers and more. This isn't as "strong" as those but it does have similar humor kinda, liked it a lot because of the stereotype broken of "princess" haha. And the dynamic is ok, enjoyed it but nothing to be crazy about.

Crazy i watched Baki the grappler first and then this, a good decision but the change is noticeable. Just crazy man, Baki is nuts and funny, very funny and original. Not an anime that its sentimental or something, but very special in some ways. And much better than baki the grappler, new animation and new direction that was good and a really enjoyable series.

Just baki, its good but sometimes this arc felt pretty boring. I kinda laughed when I discovered this season cause it follow practically the same structure as Grappler Baki, with a first season and then the tournament haha. I appreciate the better graphics in both of this season compared to the original but I think this series could be ranked as a whole because it's practically always the same absurd fighting, sometimes better and sometimes worse, but never a 6 or a 9.

It's original and very creative to make the most WTF humor I like because of the absurdness of the plot and the series as a whole. A great example of this is chapter 7 who starts as this cliche anime pool episode but i feel they acknowledge themselves as cliche and exploit it to make some very funny and most creative depraved jokes i watched. Thinking about it recently it's kinda "aura farm" as they say these days but the perfect amount, like that Piccolo scenes or Harlock scenes. The perfect amount to not be just a boresome Solo Leveling/any manhwa.

For me to be a masterpiece is because of the combination of hype, animation and moments that made this part of the arc epic, but the rest of the TYBW arc is not that good, is this specific season that is crazyy. Ep 10: Bro, the like that the driver genuinely gave it is the funniest thing I've seen from this anime.

I even read the manga and I am so glad the first part of the manga is this anime cause in reality practically all this was character presentations and some very little development.

My thoughts about it (Ctrl+c from manga):
A very good romcom that I read because things actually happen, slice of life and type of stuff like that are things I can't enjoy in manga, a piece of media that is slower than anime and you take time to it, I don't like simply reading anything, and this is one of the best romcoms cause it isn't so long and things actually happen, keep in mind that we start with the mc's relationship wayyyy looowww, like very low from the point they don't even talk, to all this developing very nicely step by step. A very good enjoyable manga that well for the genre this is a perfect score, cause my 10-9 rates are for mind boggling stuff or very special stuff, this is very good and a piece of media I recommend to anyone who likes the genre.

And it also remind me kinda to Sakurasou, one of my favorites anime that left me knowing anime can be more than shonen I guess.

I really want to watch it because all the clips and the opening haha. I really like the opening. Man the direction is crazy, sure the jokes are kinda mid at a times they have a lot of ones that are the type of baffling wtf giving emotion I like a lot.

tdlr: 'C Danchi' is a short, unique blend of Lovecraftian horror and Japanese culture that, despite its flaws, offers intriguing themes and imaginative twists worth exploring.

Man i love this series, this is THE REMAKE, this is for real one of the best remakes ever created and does have a good story, though not for everyone i just love it, plus its very important for the anime industry (all about tatsunoko company, there is a very good video on youtube about casshern sins and all casshan saga).

I am kinda weird with Code Geass, i think it starts pretty strongly and in a way I REALLY ENJOYED IT, the "this is bonkers" type of liking, the opening lyrics of the first opening are all I like about Code Geass, but all the others things I didn't get that hype at all, i don't think its bad, i like the Geass and how the story develop but not the masterpiece type of liking, is good and as I said all this concepts I did really enjoyed it but nothing crazy really.

Well pretty much season one but the otherway, the ending I really liked it even though is kinda predictable it is still beautiful in a way. But the start and middle of the anime is nothing crazy, is enjoyable and all but nothing crazy, overall i give the series an 8 cause it is pretty good but it is kinda like this.

S1: Start pretty strong and really liked Geass and that type of concepts (8), all the rest is a 7.

S2: The same, it continues as 7 till the end that was very special and thats why I give it an 8.

I mention this cause it is special, but is 50 episodes long, so a lot of good moments (7) but not that much GREAT (9) moments.

Incredible story, depiction of depression, character development, all of it is very good and it's very well directed, loved it plus i was eating KFC while watching it.

Well what to say about Cowboy Bebop, everybody knows it and it's legendary. Solid very good and loved the direction, that's why I watched Space Dandy. This rate is similar to FMAB cause I liked it a lot and a lot of moments are great, but not that many things that drived me crazy to think of this as a masterpiece, a very solid good series I recommend to anyone but not that much to me being crazy about it.

Kinda sad of this episode at the start and overall yeah it's sad but it did kinda helped a bit for later as we can connect faster on what is going to happen.

This anime feels like the anime introduction, it haves some tropes of japanese anime but is very digestible for someone not used to this type of media.

I watched i don't remember when exactly the first time but pretty solid and good series, i had a lot of fun watching it and that's part of the reason i rewatched it.

My thoughts about the series:
The ost haves a song that i am sure is from pokemon. Overall the story is unique in many ways. Very special in various parts but in the end is just a slice of life with a bit of mystery. I like how it hints at times that the world of the anime it really haves some fictional aspects, but this fictional part is never confirmed and i just love this cause you just could take the anime as a normal slice of life with nothing fictional really, like with the mc view. In the end is just very magic and i am lazy to write my thoughts about this so take the comments of this reddit post as what i thought of this series:

For more details of what i think keeping in mind the comments on the thread (from OP and ZapszzZ), there are a lot of hints that maybe are just stupid relations but for example, the anime starts with something about a girl that transmited radio waves or something like that, then in a further episode Erio (i think) talks about something similar as this about how the aliens did this to test the humans that were more capable of resisting it kinda, and this were test in a city, maybe this related to the city that mc moved, but anywas about this was this girl that when she putted her arms up (similar as an antena) she would get dizzy (kinda as if the radio waves were affecting her). Also i know is kinda stupid but maybe the aliens are pretty and have a shiny hair, what i mean is the Dad of Erio was considered pretty and had a shiny hair, Erio was considered pretty and had a shiny hair (kinda mix of her mother and father hair), the girl that had an astronaut suit is pretty much hinted that she is an alien and well haves shiny hair and is considered pretty (the boy in the basketball match said it). And well that is maybe considering the theory that they are aliens obviously, well yeah idk this series is just great.

And all of this will never be answered haha, atleast the author gave an answer of what happened and who Makoto choose (even though is trash).

What i mean with weird light novel ending, from what i have heard the real ending is one the author posted on his blog, and it was incest path, and yeah mid. This ending was posted in the blog cause the series got canceled from what I know. There is information around the light novel volumes but here are my thoughts about it. Volume 7 of the light novel he created various paths similar to a visual novel, but from what i have find is that in reality all this "paths" were just a Makotos dream or something like that (I say this because with the bad translated japanese program I used there is said something like that and also because after this multiple paths thing there is another volume continuing the story. With this volume the light novel abruptly ends and we never know what happens besides author blog.

Manga info:
Besides the light novel there is also the manga that well I only fastly pass through the pages (as they are raw and idk jp) and it seems it doesn't have an ending cause it's haves a pretty similar ova part of the meteorite and then nothing really so yeah. (What i mean for nothing is that the final chapter 30 after meteorite thing is from what i saw is Makoto going to buy some ero magazine cause he hadn't seen one since he moved or something like that, so yeah nothing).

If you want a conclusion for all what i have written yes this series is very good. But not for everybody because even with keeping in mind all this paraphernalia in the end is just an slice of life with a very slow character development and alot of unanswered stuff.

Started watching it as the typical cute girls doing cute things but was surprised at how this typical atmosphere had very good art, nice music and kinda deep themes like how these literally DIY activities function in this automated world. And normal not crazy characters but they work and it’s very nice. This is the type of CGDCT I want to watch and I find it much better than, for example, K-On, one of the most renowned of the genre.

A lot of people enjoy the manga, I didn't find the hype I mean it was enjoyable but nothing to be crazy about. Kinda bad it was CGI but I mean the story is the same.

Idk what to say about its great story that develops and in general very enjoyable moments very solid. I love that it's a remake, I love the setting, I love the story, I love the characters. Not a masterpiece but frekaing great.

Man I guess this you could take it as a kid show, nothing too deep not any complicated stuff is just a "what if" developed. I find it quite enjoyable but nothing to be crazy about, just a series you tune and enjoy.

Watching it again is crazy, a different humor compared to the new dbz, still incredible. I love to refresh my nostalgia I fucking love this series, and I am very biased, but I don't have the nostalgia to be blind about it, cause for example I love the memories I have about the game "Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo" but playing it now is one of the most boring experiences I tried to complete and fail, gosh the mechanics become repetetive in the first levels.

I love Dragon Ball and rewatched moments of the saga, fights and all a lot of times. But this was the part of the series that's really on my mind.

So being DBZ the part i really love of anime is the reason I rewatched KAI, the first time i watched well was when i tuned the TV aswell. But the rewatch was a personal doing, i sit and watch this cause i really love it. If it wasn't for the filler i would watched normal dbz but yeah. I love dragon ball.

Probably the scores of Dragon ball are really high, and that's beacuse I don't care having the fanboy glasses, and though DB isn't perfect me being so attached to it makes me ignore them, and I rank by how I feel not so much about how good the series "objectively" is

As i said I rewatched the series, and all the previous arcs really stick with me but this particular saga, Majin Buu saga I think it wasn't relly good, I liked the first part of Buu introduction and all that but all posterior of that I honestly think isn't really good and was very decepcionated about it and honestly I didn't really remember this saga at all so when i was watching it I understanted a lot of the missing dots of information I had and as I said it wasn't that good and I also think the last episode was a bad move because you set a particular ending and you need to develop towards it but minds change and your thoughts aren't the same towards time passes so this limited the series alot, I guess they are now going with that the last episode isn't canon but yeah overall good but I didn't get a lot that Dragon Ball "magic" feeling.

I have quite a lot of good memories from this one because it is literally the first anime I watched while airing in japanese. Honestly very enjoyable typical DBZ formula. I have even myself rewatching some episodes, even the filler episodes hhaah.

Nothing to be crazy about, kinda overrated but yeah enjoyable. Too much fight and really fight is not the part I like from Dragon Ball.

Good, fixes the secondary characters' low development on Super. Plus I watched it with my friends on the cinema, not something I could sawnk about everytime, I think the only one more I have watched is Suzume.

This is the version I watched when I was a kid. I know this beacuse of the dub is different on Kai version. My thought about this are in the Kai versions cause I rewatched it but well going back on memory I love this and really liked all the universe that was created in this fantastic world.

Well what can I say about this movie, I don't think it's writing is excellent, complex or very good story. But it's a very good interesting? Funny? Perspective about cinema I enjoyed a lot. Would recommend to someone specifically cause I think it would bore some people.

I have a lot of memories from this series, I remember recommending it to a friend years ago, when this got aired, I was like 12-13-14?? Probably 13 and was very happy my friend actually watched it and told me he enjoyed it. Little did he knew is that at that times I didn't even watched it myself hhahaha. I watched it like 3-4 years later hahah. And well I love this, not a masterpiece but kinda special in many ways, honestly the story and all is just a 7 but having all this new special things for me made me love this. I wish this same friend watched Kaiji but I guess I will never know.

If you take it seriously you loose, some deaths are even to the level of Mars of Destruction... nah joke not that low but kinda true. Funny interesting anime that it's not that deep but very enjoyable really. It does have it's public and I guess this is popular for the time it got aired, idk if this would have the same hype in another time. Probably yes. Watch it is kinda legendary on the industry but watch it without expectations, it could be shit for you or a masterpiece.

If the second episode scene was in some decapitation or something happening to a jaw it's crazy, I really didn't care what I was commenting.

More insight about what I said on ep 3 is that it seems like a gregorian chant but obviously have some parts that are completely not a gregorian chant, very clear references to El Greco with the hands and random references to Gustav Klimt and being in latin are good to have in an anime opening haha.

The fillers are so damn baddddd, I dropped the series because of the fillers around episode 29 (specially ep 29). The manga should be better but I enjoy just anime over manga. The weird kinda bad part are the fillers and stupidity idk if it is in the manga but they praise the manga a lot I think it isn’t, specially I think this because I didn’t find in the manga the outrageous episode 29. But overall very good american football anime, with great characters like Hiruma and more.

Even tho i have watched long time ago Kaiji recently i read "Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa" and I noticed in the S2 of Kaiji opening ""Chase the Light!" by Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas" KUROSAWA APPEARS NEXT TO KAIJI, well seated and "sleeping" in a very Kurosawa way he is there so yeah memorable asf I love Fukumoto

I have to repeat that I give a ranking to anime for how much I feel towards it. And I repeat this because I have seen a lot of people praising it for the “complexity” revealing about human psychology or some similar sophistry about how real the series is. I have to say some of the moments are indeed “real” but Kaiji is not near complex or an “intelligent” series. Kaiji is ugly but honestly I love the art, mostly I love Fukumoto some panels I even say they look good, Buraiden Gai has some good panels and even Kurosawa has panels like the hands that are quite good honestly. But the art is ugly and a lot of people even avoid the series for this fact. I find it quite charming and some people also do like for example the zawa-zawa sound effect, but the general opinion is that. More about Kaiji why did I enjoy it even though of not being “intelligent” complex series, is because it got me, the first arc is incredible enjoyable and captured me in a way I can’t describe I loved it how the mechanics of the games were developed the tension and sometimes I just repeat the episode where Kaiji “resurrects”. This is in essence Kaiji and that’s why I enjoyed it so much, the rest of the arcs and even S2 are similar like this but more diluted and at a times even stupid at a times crazy and Kaiji actions are kinda stupid but enoughly justified to make sense, then “season 3” is full boring mahjong and then the games with Mario and the others guy that was kinda fun, but as I said all diluted not very strongly but this moments keep me engaged and liked them a lot.

notes: I recommended a friend to watch the show as he likes gambling but the art he said was so ugly he didn’t even watch it and gave it a try.

Bro the episode 10 of this series is one of the most unexpected peak moments I have experienced.

My first ghibli movie, it haves a special place in my heart.

This is a very high 8, but i prefer the manga.

i have review of this if you wanna know why is it in this score, but in summary by memory all this ecchi anime i have very low score is because they are not anime, they are hentai disguised as anime, it's typical some of the story is developed but all this development and "story" is used as an excuse for hentai, and yeah i don't think sex is bad or something similar i think it could even make better the story with some jokes like in ishizoku reviewers or shimoneta. This sex used in this ecchi anime is literally hentai, not funny sex jokes or something like that is just sexual scenes without story (hentai) without the tag of hentai. Is just mindless sex scenes, a less worse case of this is redo of healer that does develop the story but in the end is practically all about sex, I summarize this as sex bait.

man i just have to point out the ashita no joe reference in episode 12, man it was so good, even the animation seem like an episode, gave me feelings of when joe was talking to noriko, practically the same.
