I got so invested in this story and world that for the first time I purchased and started reading the Light Novel. And I haven't read a non-comic book or non-manga in over a decade. And it is safe to say, it has become my favourite book series of all time now.

The only show ever, that isn't even about romance really at all, that still had me rooting and crying for these two characters to get together. When the music started playing in the second last episode, I didn't stop crying until finishing the show. It was everything I could have wanted. If there is one show on earth I want a season 2 for, it is this one.

The show had good music, but apart from that the manga beats it in every other aspect - especially in terms of the ending of the story.

Stupuid fast-paced brain-dead violence, with no substance whatsoever. Any character that the show starts to try and give some semblance of backstory dies before u can care about them. So little is explained, the 'story' moves and never stops, and it is mindless and stupid to the end. Just another show carried by shock value and visuals, nothing else there. The worst anime of 2023.

A funny idea but still pretty generic. It is however, self-aware and does make jokes about itself, and introduce ideas not all isekai's tackle such as what if other people also got reincarnated there and the problems that could arise from that.

I had only heard bad things about this show, so I wasn't going in with high expectations. But to my surprise, it wasn't that bad. The mecha and more alien vehicle designs are cool and the main theme is something I will add to my playlists. It tackles the human evolution spacenoid/newtype style Gundam concept in a different and somewhat interesting way. Unfortunately, some major things are holding this show back. The action isn't great, and is plagued by camera shake effects like old Gundam was. But the real issue is the ending and the characters. The female leads are fine but the male characters outside of the traumatised soldier are not well-written. The main protagonist Inaho is your typical child genius, a stupidly smart and robotic character lacking in emotion, which we have seen way too much of in recent years with the new rise of power fantasy and isekai. He is to put it simply, uninteresting. Slaine is an interesting and good character, but I feel like it is a waste not using him. They choose to keep him out of half the show and not give us some flashbacks and information about his father and his research. The ending was extremely messy and had me laughing at how stupid it was. Slaine accidentally leads the antagonist to kill his childhood sweetheart, who is now enamoured with our boring protagonist, she gets shot all over so he shoots the protag in the head. It is all over the place and just silly. The only character who was interesting was left alive, and they killed off the rest of the cast before we even cared about them or they were developed, crazy. I originally gave this a 6, but knowing that nothing in this finale even matters and everyone who got shot (even those who got shot in the head) survived I came back to lower it.

The only interesting character from the first season of this show is now a crazed delusional evil guy. Oh, and the Princess who got shot like 10 times is somehow alive??? As is the protagonist from the last season who got shot in the head???? The antagonist who got shot multiple times in the finale is also alive????? And now Slaine is the antagonist and completely evil and a different character entirely. Oh, and the protagonist can now activate the Aldnoah drives because he kissed the princess last season. I am absolutely stunned at how much of a joke this season is. The protagonist has also been given a new eye that is basically a cheat device that makes the already overpowered character, even more stupidly overpowered. The action is still mediocre and plagued by screen shake effects, even the grounded action of soldiers makes the screen shake and ruins any enjoyment. Remember how I said Slaine was evil now? in the last episode he does another 180 in his personality and tries to blow himself up, I burst out laughing. And then he changes his mind AGAIN, and goes back to being evil. Absolutely ridiculous.

A genuinely interesting concept with some original ideas. It is unfortunate that the show is plagued by awful characters, many of who are unrelatable or just extremely creepy and sexual deviants - and not in a funny way, in a fucking uncomfortable way. The main 3 characters are the only redeeming factors.

Just an OVA, not an interesting plot or anything, kind of just more of the same, but even less enjoyable than the main show.

Some chibi shit that is the kind of stuff you see after the end-credits of some seasonal anime.

The animation is good, the voice acting is expressive (even in the dub) and it does have some really good twists. This show takes a lot of risks and I do give the writers respect for that, but it falls on its feet because of that fact. It tries to do so much, escalate things constantly and add more and more plot points and twists and I actually found myself zoning out and having to rewind at times. I also think the villain was rather weak and worse than that, the show does not write female characters very well.

I can't think of many shows that have just been so fun to experience, this truly is a wild and fun ride. Well worth the watch, the characters alone are enough to make this a must watch. The dub is also amazing.

Crazy and over the top in all of the right ways. JoJo wishes it could be as insane as Baki.

The Mohammad Alai Jr NTR Rejection Cuck arc is genuinely so out of place and unwanted that it is by far the worst arc in this series.

The strongest season of Bakugan by far. This show really is just a gateway to mech anime. But it's biggest strength was the characters this season. Spectra and Gus were standouts and Gus's big moment in this season was memorable. I also liked the concept of there being artificial robot Bakugan.

I still to this day can't listen to the second ending theme without crying. A genuine masterpiece that will break you emotionally.

Ignore the fact it has furries in it, the story it tells is genuinely engaging and worth a shot.

Still enjoyable but definitely a drop in quality and plot over season 1.

The only reason this gets as high as a 6 is they play Virtua Fighter, so the characters are based gamers.

I have never been more invested in a lesbian couple in any form of media in my life. It wasn't in your face, but the chemistry and rivalry between the characters is well done. It was outrageous and fun, with a crazy premise, and a tonne of references to mech anime fans, you can really tell the creators just had a lot of fun making this story.

If this show had nailed the ending it would have been a 10 and one of my favourite animes of all time. I still do very much adore this show, and became very emotionally invested throughout its run. However, the last few episodes and ending felt quite rushed and it is a real shame. It was still special and an emotional journey, but I would have liked a few more episodes and the last 3 episodes to not have felt so fast. Even so, this is still my favourite lesbian anime and sports anime by far! Definitely one of the best anime originals we've ever had, it is not quite Vivy or Lycoris Recoil, but is deffo in the top 5.

Very much a fanservice battle movie like One Piece: Stampede, but I am all here for it. The action was extremely enjoyable, the new characters were interesting, and the way it set up Asta as a leader figure was really well done.

The best of the Marvel anime. Unfortunately, that is a very low bar.

Not including TYBW (which is separate on MAL anyway, thankfully) - not a single fight in Bleach would even make my top 10 anime fights. The filler was so bad it put me to sleep, and not even Naruto's filler managed that. I hope we get a Bleach Kai, or a remake of some sort in the future, one more faithful to the manga. If this story got the same treatment TYBW is getting, then this could genuinely have been one of the best shonen anime ever. It is unfortunate I watched this last after doing One Piece, Naruto and Dragon Ball - I was extremely disappointed. Has good music tho!

There were A LOT of stupid asspulls, like with Ichigos backstory and mum, Kenpachi and Unohana, this Squad 0 that just conveniently existed this whole time, Byakuya not being dead etc - And yet, despite that. It was still incredible and maybe even worthy of a 10. It makes me so sad that the previous arcs didn't get this treatment, and instead got a bloated bad adaptation that could put people off the series entirely. This is how you properly and faithfully adapt a manga. Manga readers can only dream that their manga gets this level of treatment when it comes to adaptation, this truly is a new standard for shonen.

I was looking forward to this season as I finally would get to see one of my favourite characters and powers animated - Senjumaru of the Royal Guard. And it was satisfying, she was well done, as was all of Squad 0 and the last few episodes. However, this does not make up for all of the writing issues, and the more heinous character writing choices that you think they would take out for the adaptation. The fact they still decided to include the lesbian trans nazi necrophiliac character and kept most of her creepy shit in the show shocks me. I believe this character, as well as Bambietta, were both written in extremely poor taste and should not have their characters adapted without changes to make the shit less criminal. I could feel the FBI knocking on my door as I saw half of their scenes. And even if we ignore the creepy written characters, there are still major issues with the writing. In this season, Ichigo is away from the battle as he is spending the first 90% of it travelling down from the Palace, only to arrive after the major battle and contribute basically nothing - and then, the major enemy goes to the Palace and he has to spend the rest of the arc once again away from the battle travelling back up to the Palace. This is to keep him away from any of the other battles because the writer realised they would end quickly if he was there and the other characters wouldn't get a time to shine, and it is a very obvious and lazy solution to that problem.

Good, as an artist in real life I definitely enjoyed and was invested in this show, but I recommend reading the manga instead, it is a lot more in-depth.

The obvious foreshadowing took away from the reveal at the end - and the ending itself is so atrocious that people genuinely prefer the live action adaptations attempt on it. This anime is proof a bad ending can ruin an entire show.

It may not be a high bar, but this season was definitely the most exciting the show had ever been. And it shed light on the side characters and supporting cast more, which in my opinion are much more likeable than our protagonist.

Endeavor vs the Nomu is the most I've ever felt watching a fight in this show. I was emotionally invested. However, it is a shame the rest of the season is extremely weak. We had what felt like a 200-episode-long arc about some British gentleman villain that was a joke that lasted way too long and wasted your time.

The best and most impactful season so far. Hit me with more emotions than all the other seasons combined. Deku doing a Sasuke Uchiha was cringe, but despite that - this season tackled characters backstories and issues well. Unfortunately, I have read the manga, so I know that it doesn't get much better than this arc before the plot takes another nosedive.

This film became so boring that people in the cinema started talking over it because they were so done with the film. The animation was also nothing special, it felt like just a really long filler episode of the standard show. Which is a massive shame because the movie before this was actually rather good.

Honestly, this show is like a 9, but the first 3 episodes are definitely hard to get to. And a lot may drop it before it gets really good. Similar to Mushoku Tensei it's one of those shows that is hard to start and doesn't give a good first impression of the protagonist, but it is definitely worth sticking with. Especially because the following season is even more amazing.

Genuinely the most I've laughed at an anime all year. I had an amazing time and was smiling and just having fun throughout watching this show. Yamadas dad was a standout for funny moments. But this show got serious too, and succeeded in showing a lot of character growth and development. Very memorable, hilarious and enjoyable.

After a really rocky first episode with an awful unlikeable protagonist I nearly dropped this show but I am grateful I kept going. Episode 2 changed the tone completely and revealed much heavier and darker themes. The concept of superpowered children in a more realistic society becoming the subject to experimentation is something only explored in an adult manga like Fire Punch or comics like Invincible or The Boys, so seeing it being tackled in a slightly lighter setting was new and welcome. The backstory of the female lead and her brother was well-done and sends a strong message. From episode 7 onwards the show really starts to get heavier and tackle stronger ideas, with twists and turns that had my heart pounding. The conclusion made me cry of joy, I am so glad I stuck with this show, and got to see the protagonist grow into a hero, and accept others into his life, and love. I will never forget this show. If you like Bunny Girl, Monogatari or even something like Chainsaw Man or Fire Punch, you should experience this story.

Just as good as the main show, a great heartwarming episode. With some immaculate voice acting, especially from the character of Tomori. This extra episode also adds more time for our main lead couple to bond and open up to each other.

It sucks that one of the first lesbian representation anime is one full of countless scenes of assault. Poorly written, the writers don't know how to express feelings or romance, instead they turn to forcing it, and it is extremely uncomfortable to watch.

Kinda just felt like a whole lot of setup and exposition. Which would be fine if the characters were likeable, but it seems it's taken a page from Gundam and given us an insufferable brat male protag. Thankfully the only likeable character so far is the female lead, and she seems to be who the story is mostly centered around.

Better action than the last one, albeit clunky CGI. Unfortunately, the cast size has increased and still there is no likeable characters. Even the appearance of Lelouch isn't him and he is in mind controlled state so you can't even like him, same for Suzaku he is in angst mode. So we can't even save it with OG characters. I do not have high hopes for the next 3 movies.

The worst of Akito so far. Half of it was spent with the main characters living with a bunch of grannies they met on the street. And then the other half shows the dispute between Kingsly/Suzaku and another unlikeable character called Shin Hyuga Shaing. The only interesting thing from this entire movie was the concept of spreading misinformation to start riots, and this was only for like 5 minutes of its runtime, there is nothing else of depth to be found.

By far the best of the films up to this point. Much better action, much more impactful moments for the characters, and a great ending and post-credit sequence. It still suffers from a lot of the same problems as the previous, and is also does have some very rushed moments. Such as the big reveal to the public and Gene's manipulation. In the span of minutes he revealed who she was, had her give a speech (that was not very good) and then declared her to be dead in some big twist. This was handled very poorly, so little time was given to what should be a major plot point. Ignoring this, however, this film was good.

MAN. This film made me laugh. I genuinely am astonished at how much more dumb this series could have gotten. At one point, the entire supporting cast in the command group gets shot up and dies, only for with 15 minutes left of the film for the female leads Geass to awaken and rewind time. And of course everyone is alive and friends in the end. I do like the characters a lot more by this point and the last few minutes were wholesome so I won't be too harsh on it.

Realistically, this film is more around a 7 or 8. However, I'm a sucker for a happy ending. And the last 5 minutes were special and had me tearing up. Like coming back and seeing how everything ends for characters from my childhood, seeing everyone in the credits with families, seeing Lelouch and CC finally together, it was neat. It was not Evangelion Rebuild level at all, but it still was nice and I liked it. And seeing Lelouch come back in this film and say 'I Lelouch vi Britannia command you' was peak. Fanservice the film, and I am a fan, can't help but fall for it.

I want to make this clear - this season is inferior to the previous and it isn't even close. And as a whole this season is more around a 7 or an 8. However, the finale and final act is so good and still stands as one of, if not the best ending in all of media for me. And for that, it still gets a 10.

Very beautiful, and ahead of it's time. But the plot was kind of weak for me, and a lot of characters had very little backstory or screen time before they were killed off. And I dislike the ending.

This show is visually amazing, with a great and memorable soundtrack. I didn't personally gel with any of the characters. And I don't think I was given enough time to care about David, I was honestly happy when he met his end. Maybe if I had more empathy I would feel different, but unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. It felt like I was watching a show about someone getting in with the wrong crowd, who ruin his life and then I watch him ruin his life and do nothing about it, which is a heavy concept to tackle - except, it was about characters I care nothing for. I would have liked more time, development and backstory to both David and Lucy. I think by Episode 6 or whenever the timeskip was, I kinda just had zoned out of the story by that point.

Honestly, the weakest season and I don't think it was even close. The best word I can use to describe this is either 'stupid' or 'dumb' or maybe 'goofy.' I don't know what is more ridiculous - the fact the protag originally died saving the origin spirits life SO SHE MADE HIM AGAIN AND GAVE BIRTH TO HIM OR the fact the world we've known for the last 4 seasons is a new world created by Mages who destroyed the old world... oh yeah Mages exist btw, we only just tell you this now.... Actual joke of a season. At least Kuromi was cool in it.

The series went downhill after episode 26 for me. Near was a huge downgrade from L, you know it's bad when Near literally reminds me of a villain from a filler arc of Yu-Gi-Oh! The ending is extremely underwhelming and disappointing. And with L gone, you start to notice how weak and just badly written the supporting cast is - especially Misa, who is hardly even a character, not fleshed out at all. You know it's bad when Light, L and Ryuk are the only characters you want to actually remember from a 37-episode-long show with a lot more characters than just them.

Some really interesting concepts and ideas. Towards the end of the show it got much stronger and started to flesh out the universe. However, it definitely feels cut short and missing at least a few more episodes or a second season to complete this story.

The dub voice actor nails Dante's personality and character. The problem is the stakes are just very low, compared to the grandeur of the games, this story was just underwhelming.

The ending was utter trash, and the plot got more and more ridiculous in the second half of the show. At one point they were going to try save the world using Twitter?!?!? This show is 90% shock value, with not enough time to add any substance to the story or characters. Sorry.

The anime opening has no right being this good, for a show that turned out to be about incest and with a ridiculous plot and premise.

I really enjoyed the first 3 quarters of this show, I honestly thought it could end for me as a 9 or a 10. The dynamics of the two main characters and their development were great. However, around episode 19 or 20 things started to progress much faster, to a degree that felt rushed and messy. So much happened in the climax of the last few episodes with such little time, to the point that characters would go from trying to kill each other to crying and loving each other in the span of the same episode, and it didn't feel earned. The ending itself was fine, but it is clear to me this last arc needed more episodes. Hyakkimaru goes from his usual character to evil crazy demon and then goes back to normal, his brother becomes basically a demon and then goes back to normal, his brother's companions all are demons for the span of 5 seconds and then they are killed, and he then goes to kill Hyakkimaru but they forgive each other, the mother is forgiven, the father is forgiven and he is no longer evil, all this happens in less than 2 episodes and it's so MESSY. Such a shame.

Pan is the most insufferable character and I want to run her over with my car.

Please, please go read the manga instead. You have no idea what you are missing out on, and just how criminal this 'adaptation' they gave us is. Tournament of Power especially is much MUCH better in manga form.

If Gohan wasn't my favourite Dragon Ball character, then this film would be a 4 or maybe a 5.

The main antagonist of this film is called Garlic Jr. I don't know what else there is that needs to be said.

Probably the strongest season so far, with an exciting climax and a lot of setup/worldbuilding for future seasons.

A recap episode, nothing special.

This was the goriest season yet and had some intense moments. However, the writing around Cassandra is extremely poor. They give us a character with the power of foresight but make her a completely useless crybaby, and even though the gods know of her powers - it is never made clear to the adventurers that she has them. The second half of this also felt extremely rushed and far too much happened in the span of a few episodes for you to keep up with what is going on.

The first time the show hit me emotionally. Bell has also grown into a really likeable and badass protagonist. Ryuu's development and story were good, definitely the best female character. This season was the strongest I've seen so far and it gives me up for the future of the series.

While the art and animation aren't much different from the main series, the characters in this film did manage to shine. Artemis is exclusive to this movie and yet I find one her to be one of the best-written and most interesting characters so far.

I was worried about how this series was going to conclude, but I ended up being blown away. The last few episodes of this show are even more memorable than the finale of season 1, a thrilling ride which concludes everyone's stories in a well-thought-out way. I caught myself smiling and also getting emotional during this one, my favourite season of the show and I am happy with this ending. Definitely worth the journey to get here.

Unlike the previous OVA episodes, instead of giving us more time fleshing out our cast, we are given a brand new character just for this episode, and he is unlikable. This one is easily skippable and adds nothing to the main world of Durarara.

More of the same, if you liked the previous season, you'll enjoy this one. The cast from the previous show is just as likeable and fun. Unfortunately, I do not like any of the new characters. The horny incestuous sisters that make out with each other and read porn magazines were extremely weird and uncomfortable. The blue squares kid is an asshole and the guy with the hat is a womaniser. The big gang confrontation and everything of Izaya's plan coming together in the last episode was nice but it was ruined by Erika sexually harassing Anri. Thankfully the last 5 minutes or so fix that and leave us on a high note. Mikado was built up throughout this arc and I was looking forward to where they took his character, and it was worth it, and felt fitting of for him. And the ending with Izaya actually suffering some consequences felt good and something we had been waiting for.

Mikado locked the fuck in this season and it has me hyped to see the next part. We also got some much-needed backstory for Anri and her family. Overall this season was good but it is held back by being a cour of the full story, a lot of buildup that doesn't get finished and requires you to watch the following part of the series (Durarara!!x2 Ketsu).

Just a cute Shinra and Celty episode that ties in with episodes 13 and 14. I like their relationship dynamic and find it humorous. Nothing groundbreaking but still worth the watch.

Plagued by the weird fanservice and sus shit the author is known for. However, I enjoyed this story and concept a lot more than Fairy Tail to be honest.

Entirely shock value with no actual substance or story. Why did a puppy have to be murdered? For plot?? No, to add to the shock value so there is a higher chance you can remember this weak and disappointing show.

This anime surprised me, I actually really enjoyed it and became heavily invested in the world it had built. The pacing did become slow towards the end and it had many filler episodes that had no relation to the main plot. It also could be seen as quite confusing on the first watch. The music is very good though.

The only reason this is a 5 and not lower is because they have a reference to 86 -EIGHTY SIX- which is a much superior series, and I am a sucker for it.

Not as degenerate or unapologetically suspect as the 2016 OVAs, but still weird and unwanted from me.

This is just fucking hentai. If you're into that, go ahead. I am not, no thank you, especially given the age of the characters. Weird as fuck.

An incredible adaptation of one of the best parts of FGO. The way they handled Bedivre was spot on and some moments were visually stunning as well. It also added more to some side characters from the story like Mordred and Sanzang. I have no complaints, it transferred all the key moments to anime form perfectly. The music slaps too.

The Solomon Singularity in the game in my opinion is only like an 8/10, but this adaptation was extremely well done and it cut out a lot of the fat and padding that was in the original version. My only complaint is I would have liked to see a longer fight with Goetia. Apart from that, it handled everything well and seeing the key emotional moments in anime form was something special. I waited for months for this film to be released in my country and it was worth the wait. I didn't need a fight scene, in fact, this film doesn't really have any major fight scenes, this film is all about the bond between characters and their clash of ideals. And this film succeeds in making you feel all sorts of things. And how it handled the Fou scene from the game in the credits was neat.

I gave this show a 10 when I first watched it, having no context of the game it is based on. After playing FGO and rewatching this I wish I could give it an 11. This is the best and most accurate video game adaptation I could have asked for, it transfers my favourite Singularity to anime form perfectly and adds a lot more depth to key scenes. Episode 19 is one of my favourite episodes of all anime and Milet - Tell Me is a special and emotional song for me. How the anime added to scenes of characters like Tiamat, Enkidu and Siduri was perfect. I cannot express how much I love Babylonia, in both anime and game form.

In the first episode, Illya's brother walks in on her in the bathroom so the floating magical girl stick knocks him out and then takes his pants off to show Illya his c*ck and it is played off as a comedic moment. And of course, her motivation for becoming a magical girl is to make her brother fall in love with her. Miyu being the trope of a 10-year-old who is a child prodigy who can solve PHD level physics and maths equations was dumb. Illya, a 10-year-old discovering she has a fetish for maid outfits after seeing Miyu wearing one was also very uncomfortable. The animation and action were very mediocre. The final episode has Illya dreaming of kissing her brother... At least we got to hear the Emiya theme at one point I guess?

We start off with even more graphic sexual child-making out with tongue and drool.. And then dinner with the family followed by a load of sexual jokes and jokes about Shirou committing incest with Illya. The second episode is a degenerate beach episode featuring more incest and weird creepy jokes. Episode 3 is about a bunch of 10-year-olds discussing BL, talking about men sucking dicks and reading hentai. In fact, the first 6 episodes of this 10-episode season are all like this and an utter waste of time. However, for the last 3 episodes, the plot actually starts to happen, and it was a decent climax. The action was good, though of course, it took a break to play the same piano song we hear every time there's creepy kids making out. It's also a joke that it's been 3 entire seasons and Miyu still has withheld critical information from everyone that endangers them multiple times. And then of course we get our first animated version of kid Gil from hollow ataraxia and his introduction is him naked and Illya accidentally grabbing onto his balls. Like 10 minutes of this season are great but the rest of the entire season is degenerate or just a waste of time, unfortunately.

Somehow, it's just as degenerate as the previous season's specials. The first episode is all the literal kids wearing sexualised cat girl outfits, with barely any skin covered whatsoever. The second episode is Illya showing herself naked to her brother. However, the middle episodes actually elaborate on a side-plot about Rin and Luvia at school that was brought up and adds to their characters. And the final episode is a comedy episode around Bazett which wasn't that bad if we take away the weird stuff I guess.

The animation and action are better than the previous season, however, the degeneracy is also worse. Dreaming of kissing her brother? That's nothing, this season introduces a new character whom we have to watch in graphic detail make out with the other girls (children btw) featuring drool, moaning and squirming. Why? Because for some godforsaken reason, it is part of the plot. And then of course we have an episode where she goes around sexually harassing everyone at school including her teacher, but it's okay because "it's to get mana." It's a colossal shame because we actually get Fate/hollow ataraxia characters in in this season, and they play a key role. I'm devastated that this may be the only time we get to see them in action, instead of an anime adaptation of the Fate sequel....we get a dodgy creepy loli magical girl anime... how disappointing.

Even more degeneracy. The first episode starts off with Kuro stripping Illya and asking why she doesn't wear a bra (they are both 10-year-old kids) and then they have a whole conversation about breast size. And then later on they catch Illya trying on Liz's bra.... The second episode is yet again, more creepy girls comparing bra and lingerie.... Episode 3 is even more stripping and even more nudity. In the following episode, all the children get a job as 'attractive girls' to hand out flyers and bring in people to a restaurant. And then we get a full-on hot spring episode, as if we needed any more considering we had 2 entire bath episodes in the main season. And OF COURSE, Shirou has to see the entire cast naked. Why the fuck does this exist man?????

Unfortunately, some weird stuff still plagues us, we actually get major plot development here. More than all 3 previous seasons combined as well as more action. And for the first time after 3 seasons, we get actual villains, who are characters. As someone who has played the Fate/Stay Night VN multiple times and hollow ataraxia, it was nice we got stuff in here for us, like Kotomine and his fascination with spicy food, and a good representation of kid Gil. Seeing Gil get genuinely angry when the card user dared to use Enkidus chains brought a smile to my face as an FGO and Strange/Fake enjoyer. As VN enjoyer I would have loved to see Bazett use Lancer though. It is a shame that the best and highest stakes story of the series is still broken up by down periods where we are given degenerate creepy 'fanservice.' We are given a new character who can only wear her underwear or gym clothes, another character whose introduction is another character upskirting her and then the character peeing herself..... just... why???? fucking hell. And then we get a detailed scene of her guardian spanking her, such a shame. Because of the clash of ideals and choosing to save a person or the world? badass. The action is way better than before. The plot? is also way better. Why did it have to be tainted with weird shit? The finale was great and we got unlimited bladeworks and of course, Shirou was the star and more cool than any of the main characters. It was by far the strongest season, albeit not a high bar.

The first special season to not start off with some borderline hentai shit, or so I thought... ofc we get some weird ass Shirou x Issei BL fetishisation shit. And then the next episode we get Bazett (A full-grown adult) having to make out with the 10-year-old archer girl because she needed mana....And then in the next episode, a character lost their underwear. However, we did get an episode that explained how Rin and Luvia ended up in their situation, which was quite comical and decent. But then it is followed up by an episode about a character who goons to her 'brother' wearing fetish gear and getting with her body pillow and then the youngest character discovers some adults sleep naked. And then there's a 3-minute short that is just stills of the characters naked in the shower..... Yeah. No thanks.

A continuation of the previous film, and thankfully, the plot is still moving and the stakes are still high. The Miyu and Shirou sibling connection felt genuine. Angelica's backstory was also more deep a tone than any characters in the first 3 seasons. Similar to Vow in the Snow, it shows just what could have been if they tried to take on a proper fate story instead of weird dodgy sus fanservice shit for half the runtime. Beatrice was an actual character in this film too and was well done. Illya's connection with Heracles was also referenced in this. They definitely try a bit harder with the animation in this one, but it still is underwhelming and the manga is the superior way to experience the story.

It's the only part of Prisma Illya that is genuinely worth watching if you're a Fate fan. Shirou's character and his relationship with Sakura were more developed than the entire Prillya cast over 3 seasons. No weird shit, only story, high stakes, drama and action. The last 2 seasons were bad until the last 3 or so episodes, where the plot progressed (though even then there was still weird stuff in them), this movie is like an entire film of only those best parts and even better. This film somewhat shows us how different the Fate/stay night Holy Grail War could have been if Shirou was at his peak from the start, he solos an entire holy grail war by himself, and for any fan of the anime or VN, it is a great watch. And it is some real fanservice that Shirous final clash is in the cave from Heaven's Feel. Is the soundtrack and animation as good as Ufotable Fate? Certainly not, not close, but still acceptable. The manga version of this is far superior and has great art and I can definitely recommend it!

Unlike the other Illya specials and OVAs, this one isn't degenerate. And is a comedy that even talks about how faithful the film was at adapting the manga and the cut scenes. Giving us some bonus Shirou x Sakura time since we didn't get as much as was in the manga. It also gives us extra exposition as to how Shirou met Kiritsugu and his own origin story.

The first episode has Ruby dressing Illya in sexualised outfits to match 'Japan's Pervert Culture' which according to her is 'becoming more mainstream.' Another episode is literally called 'undressing war' and I won't say anything else on the matter. All of these episodes are pointless and add nothing to the main story, one episode does explain how Rin became Luvias maid but that was unnecessary as they explain it in season 2. This is a waste of time, even more so than the show.

Stunning animation, visuals and music. More screen time was given to Assassin and Lancer and their fight was amazing. Shirou was given more badass moments too, like with Zouken. And the swift Saber vs Rider clash showing the difference in power was so brilliantly done. However, parts feel a bit brushed over because it expects you to have read the visual novel or watched episode 0 of UBW (which sets up all the servants and the intro). For better or for worse it starts on day 4 where the Heavens Feel route of the VN starts.

Incredible adaptation. The changes on the 9th day for the anime were all for the better, it expanded on so many key moments in the best way. Also, all the additional scenes and changes given to develop Sakura and Rin's relationship further than in the VN were welcome additions. Combining the more NSFW original and Realta Nua parts was an interesting choice, but I think making it more adult and serious was fitting for this route specifically. Berserker vs Saber Alter is one of the best anime fights of all time. Sakuras dream sequence and the Gilgamesh scene were better than the VNs version imo.

I am so happy they went for the True Ending of the VN, and it was beautiful. Faithful in many ways, but also expanded on so much from the final act of the VN, Rin and Sakura's relationship in this felt more developed, Rider got more screen time, and it felt like it was made with love for us long-time fans. Illya and Shirous's brother-sister relationship felt genuine and Shirou vs Berserker, as well as the internal mental struggle with what he's going through, was visualised perfectly. Saber vs Rider and Shirou was peak cinema and even the Rin vs Sakura fight was more badass than the source material. The exorcism scene with Kotomine in both sub and dub was even more satisfying than the VN. I cannot express how happy I am with this adaptation and how good it feels after rewatching this after replaying the VN. The amount of extra details added like Berserker saying some final words to Shirou to protect Illya, really amplifies the experience. This and Lost Butterfly are some of my fav movies of all time, period.

While the first half of the story was likely going to have less insane moments than the second half. This was still an incredible adaptation of the UBW VN route. It's a very faithful adaptation with great visuals and music. The final episode did change the 11th day of the VN, and all the changes were for the better. The confrontation with Caster was changed to a much greater spectacle, and we actually got to witness Kotomine vs her too, something which was not shown in the game.

The best anime VN adaptation there is. Extremely faithful, it captures all the iconic expressions of the main characters well, and adds more to them. It also gives additional scenes to Illya and Berserker. As well as more backstory on Medea. Archers' extra scenes were great too. The fights were immaculate, Shirou vs Gil is one of my fav anime fights of all time and the Emiya theme for this series is my fav OST in anime.

The rest of the show of UBW was flawless but this epilogue episode is the one issue I have. Ufotable changed the final scene from what Nasu asked of them. The changed scene of Emiya in the desert is slightly more ambiguous, and I dislike this. I prefer the script they were given that makes it clear to all, this Emiya is going on a different path, and will never become Archer. Nasus manuscript says he never becomes Archer and him and Rin live happily ever after. But as this is just an epligoue episode, I won't take any points away from the main show, as the show is still immaculate. And this episode still gave us the scene of Rin and Emiya together in the classroom from the True Ending of the VN. The Waver appearance was nice though. If you want the actual Sunny Day ending play the VN, this is that ending in name only (for one thing, Saber is alive in the actual Sunny Day ending).

It was nice to see the prologue in the game from Rins perspective made into an Episode 0 for the anime.

I have seen this OVA like 10 times. I was at a friends house when it was released and I made her watch it with me immediately. It still blows my mind every time. If the entire series is even 70% this good then I'll be happy. Seeing my favourite Servant Enkidu vs Gil and their relationship made me happy. And this made me finally pick up the Strange Fake books too.

A beautiful and perfect finale to an amazing series. It moved me and I felt it in my heart. I don't know if I'll ever have the strength to rewatch it, but everyone has to watch this series at least once. It is beautiful.

I was hesitant to watch this show. As I had recently watched the 80s and 90s Gundam so had very low expectations for humour. But to my surprise, this show has made me laugh more than any other anime besides Gintama. Maybe it's because it was a show for my generation, but all the humour landed for me and this show had me smiling and laughing so much. And it also knew when to take itself seriously. The contrast between the school and normal high school relationship/friendship drama, with the atrocities of war and child soldiers, was well-balanced and worked. The concept for the mechas and lambda drivers was also original. And the signature mech having a knife in its mouth like Rambo, is BADASS. The climax of this show on the submarine was intense and I had a blast throughout its runtime.

I don't know how to word what they did with this season except by saying they LOCKED THE FUCK IN. The animation, even the CGI is a colossal improvement and the tone has changed to a more serious one. All the characters, especially the main cast grow throughout its runtime and the stakes are higher than ever. It literally had me on the edge of my seat. It was a finale that hit me emotionally and sold me on reading the manga and maybe even the light novels after that.

The developments of Sosuke and Chidori in this, especially at the end were great. The emotions and performances were spot on. Some of the supporting cast also got some moments in the spotlight too. Unfortunately, this season was held down by really mediocre villains, who didn't get much backstory and died in an anticlimactic way.

If you liked the Full Metal Panic Fumoffu series or the comedy episodes of the main anime, then you'll enjoy this just as much. Another fun episode this time around Tessa. But not just her, surprisingly they give Belfangan some development and make him more relatable as well. More Full Metal Panic, can't complain.

Outside of one the ponytail guy, pretty much 100% of these short stories landed for me and had me laughing my head off. It was a joy throughout and it also gave us further development for the main characters relationships. Definitely do not skip this one if you are wanting to get into Full Metal Panic.

A pretty generic story, with some interesting characters. However, it is lacking of much substance and is also full of a lot of Sword Art Online level of unnecessary shock value and sexual assault scenes. It has some quite serious and edgy themes, but that can't save it from mediocrity.

Extremely unforgettable and lacking of substance. I literally can't even remember the plot and I didn't watch it that long ago.
