Interstella5555: The 5tory of The 5ecret 5tar 5ystem

Both animations has got that old animation easy to recognize but not for this being worse. They got a space trouble with different civilizations each one with their own culture and custom that makes mistrust between them. The music plays an important role, make the characters evolve, forget the past and continue progressing with their own goals. The ships and the space travels are present in each animation. There is an character in Macross that can remind so much to Stella, with that quiet attitude but sensitive with love.

They're both album-length music videos. 

Both anime implement electronic music, the sense of 'escapism', and the feels. if you're not familiar with porter, he and madeon are huge fans of daft punk, but the biggest similarity these two anime share is confusing weebs by supposing they're not anime because their stories aren't written by japanese people. 

Both are a series of music videos, focused on two albums. In Fluximation, an album by Utada Hikari and Interestella by Daft Punk. Both with a "pop" style characterizing the authors of music combined with spatial , romance and action stories, although only in Interestella is a continuous story. 

Both being AMVs which fits to the music itself and has a plot ^^ One of course being much more longer than the other 

Interstella5555 is an extended music video movie to cover an entire album, while Nowisee is an ongoing serialised music video ONA project for an entire album. 

Both use the immediately recognizable art style of Leiji Matsumoto. The character designs are strikingly similar. - The tall, slender, fragile bass player Stella and Special Agent Joan Randall, - Tall, masculine space heroes Shep and Curtis Newton, - Short and chubby drummer Baryl and handyman android Otho. The space ships and overall animation style are similar as well. Captain Future first aired in France when the Daft Punk members were six and seven years old, so this probably isn't pure coincidence 

Both are AMV's with some story with the difference being Intertsella5555's music is on a album while Cipher's is random 80's music from America 

Sci-fi musicals/music videos with electronica music. 

Both are Music anime's with actually a deep story 

Both Parallel Works and 5555 are works driven by the music that plays in them. They're 80% music video, 20% anime. 

Both have a high use of music, and tell a story in a different way then all other animes! While Interstella5555 has NO talking,and no real sound effects, it still manages to tell a complete and intersting story (a real feat), and gives you a real feel for the characters. The entire movie is one song, followed by another, from the world famouse techno band, Daft Punk. FLCL is unexplainable in it's story telling technique, but it never fails to amaze! It does have talking, and non-music sound effects though (unlike Interstella5555 ) .FLCL has a large amount songs from the J-Rock band, The Pillows. Both are also a more artsy type of anime. Both animes have amazing soundtracks that get a lot of time to shine! Both are great, odd animes, and neither should be missed! read more 

Also by iconic anime and manga creator, Leiji Matsumoto. Rich characters and stories with a signature look and feel. Frequent "cross pollination" of characters between series. 

bother robot carnival and interstella are music oriented. Even though robot carnival has some segments with dialog, interstella does not. they both have an 80's feel to them and are both very enjoyable.  

Macross Flash Back 2012, a compilation of music videos from the original Super Dimension Macross tv series and its beautifully animated Do You Remember Love? movie adaption with additional footage to see what happens after the events of Space War I, all directed by the space opera legend, Noboru Ishiguro, the music videos sum up the romance and battles with animation and the voice of the great Mari Iijima. Interstella 5555 is also directed by well known name in space opera anime; Leiji Matsumoto (Ishiguro also directed Matsumoto's Space Battleship Yamato anime). Like Macross Flash Back 2012, it tells a story without dialogue but through music, in this case the awesome duo of Daft Punk. read more 

Both are epic music videos worth watching. 5555 is obviously the whole album whereas Passion is only one song but still worth a watch since you can see both in one sitting. 

Very similar music styles and both are almost all one big music video except Ravex has some spoken words in it were Interstella 5555 dose not
