Tokyo Revengers: Seiya Kessen-hen

In spite of his best time-leaping efforts, Takemichi Hanagaki continuously fails to prevent the present-day death of Hinata Tachibana, his adolescent love. The adult Takemichi grapples with grief and the ramifications of the Tokyo Manji gang's criminal empire—an unintended product of his timeline meddling. Though the gang once operated under the idealistic Manjirou "Mikey" Sano, it has now been taken over by the malicious Tetta Kisaki and, as a result, has abandoned its original optimistic intent.

Despite feeling hopeless, Takemichi travels to the past once again to investigate Black Dragon, a rival motorcycle gang whose actions ultimately lead to Hinata's demise. There, he meets the young Hakkai Shiba, a fellow gang member whose older brother, Taiju, tyrannically rules Black Dragon. When Taiju brutally beats Takemichi in a one-sided street brawl, Hakkai attempts to withdraw from Tokyo Manji in apology—an act that Takemichi must prevent to spare Hakkai a grim future.

Through a shared tragedy, Takemichi bonds with Chifuyu Matsuno, establishing a close comradery both boys desperately need. With Chifuyu on his side, Takemichi works to unravel the fates of Black Dragon's members, fighting to create a happy future for his loved ones.

This is the second season, and along with the first seasons, i feel the same way. THIS IS A MUST WATCH!

They rounded off first season with an exciting ending, questions and actions which makes us grab on to season 2 right away. The story continues, still interesting, still good and sometimes sad, still giving us questions and more good explanation of each characters background story to understand why and how things happen.

and like last time, i repeat myself:
"I personally am not into this genre, im not into drama, not into punks and fighting and gangs and yakuza-stuff. But this story kept ... me going. It drags you in along with the time travels, all the curious questions being asked which u so desperately want to have an answer to. And i like how they shows a little backstory of all the characters a little at a time, and not everything right away. Cause then it would just be bunch of facts, and who wants to watch a documentary about characters haha.

Maybe alot of people dont like this anime cause they feel the main character is a cry baby, but thats the point of the anime. That a very normal boy, with no strength, nor muscles, but very emotional, crying alot and showing kindness to everyone, even forgiveness, is supposed to rise up.

But you kinda gotta continue watching the series, not only season 1 and season 2, to fully understand the whole story-line. Even to get some answers from this seasons answered as well...

I dont feel there is any fillers, cause even if they arent fighting each episode, they still connect every episode into a nice bend, so it all feels connected and in a red tread."

But i will admit that i agree with some people here; there few last ep of this season were kinda stretched and unnecessary. It felt like they were milking/stretching, instead of running off the story. It might be becuase they wanted a 3rd season, who knows, but i already know they made up for it in season 3, so keep watching guys! It's worth it and u will understand why later!

Overall:
if you like an story with LOVE the main focus, time traveling, emotional attachment where you cry a little bit yourself and no questions un-answered, this anime is for you! Recommend it strongly, but watch also the other season to feel complete! <3

Mixed Feelings

Not nearly as memorable as the first season. I think it did a lot of things right but ultimately fell short of season 1 in almost every way. Got quite tiring to watch at times honestly but its fine. Its not horrible by any means but the animation the story its all mostly just meh. not much else to say. Its okay. Its not a masterpiece but its not trash either.

The story felt recycled from the first season, but was still entertaining enough to make me keep watching and not quit out. The characters were okay, it just got stale because we kept seeing ... flashbacks and backstory for characters every other episode and it took away from momentum and ultimately gave me more character info but made the show feel like a drag.

Nothing more to say. All across the board its just.. Fine.

Tokyo Revengers: Seiya Kessen-hen

Despite a solid concept, the first season was already a tragedy, so I'm not surprised that the second season continues at a qualitatively mediocre level. The only exception is that I find this season more likable. It became more of a generic shounen, but at least it had some sort of goal, no matter how stupid it was.

The highlight of this season was the protagonist because he really started to develop and not just talk about it all the time. That didn't make this season any better, but at least it made it a bit more bearable. The rest of the characters ... were still a disorganized mess and the story continued to go in circles. The antagonist who I relatively enjoyed, has somehow lost all his brain cells this season and has stopped thinking. If this hadn't happened, there wouldn't have been a twist for the next season.

I still don't understand what Tokyo Revengers is even trying to get at. This manga/anime just can't decide on a flavor and is constantly trying to do everything and failing in every category imaginable. And this season you now got to watch 4 guys fight for 5 episodes instead of the time being used for anything meaningful.

Apart from that, why is every imaginable teenager in Tokyo Revengers a psychopath? The most normal student here would be the average petty criminal in our world. Their poor parents can soon do without a pension.

The anime is perfectly suitable for mediocre entertainment, it's not a disaster even if it may seem like one. Despite the gruel that the author has mixed here, it still has a certain entertainment value.
