Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu 2nd Season

Isekai that follows similar story beats to Slime Reincarnation, however I prefer the way those story elements unfold in this anime. While the first season was held back by indulging in some over used tropes like harem and fan service, the second season tones that stuff down and focuses much more heavily on it's plot which is surprisingly engaging and has decent depth for an isekai. Side characters are more fleshed out and I'm pleased with the way they've gone about it, giving more dimensions to characters that could easily have remained fairly one note.

However, the downside is one that is a pretty big one ... for anime. Take a glance at the studio and you can probably guess the animation isn't great. Not much can be said about it, it's stiff and generic looking. Occasionally a decent action scene will take place but even then they fall short of the quality you'd want out of an action anime. If you're interested in anime for the visual spectacle then you'll certainly be disappointed. But I am personally enjoying the characters and story enough that I still would recommend the show.

To preface this review: I LOVE this show. This series is one of my favourites, and although it might not look like it adds much to the genre as a casual fan, as someone who has followed the manga, and indulged in far too much isekai trash over the years, it's still one I hold close to my heart. The series keeps its worldbuilding consistent, doesn't reach the core of it's mysteries too easily and uses easily digestable familar settings and themes to build a fun and solid story.

That being said, Season 2 of Moonlit Fantasy is TERRIBLE. The first few episodes are certainly ... the best of the season, despite focusing on previously offscreen side characters in the form of the two summoned Heroes. The pacing is great, and the music and composition means that, even with a limited animation budget, it was a fun and engaging story to watch. It also did a great job of portraying and parodying two other 'isekai' routes often taken in the genre - no spoilers.
The series then continues onwards with Makoto, our MC, at the centre. It's fine for a few episodes; a bit slow but watching him show off for once is entertaining.

However, after that, the entire show slows down to a snail's pace. We reach long-running shonen series level of shitty pacing, drawn out dialogue and action, with very little actual action to be seen on screen. The characters almost feel like they're being puppeteered, and each person is politely reciting their required lines in the middle of their 'Acting 101' class. Episodes 7-13 and 13-19 could have been condensed into 3 episodes each. Each week is just another episode of disappointment as I watched the series I love being pulled like taffy, and the action and animation budget squeezed more and more.

Watch this series if you loved moonlit fantasy and interested in the slower political and management side of things. Wouldn't recommend if you were looking for an OP isekai with action.

It's mostly a Hero who Lies and hates humans so much that he lost his humanity for some retarded Equality. All he does is sit and watch while he has to power to save everyone innocent and do something about the situation.

I won't recommend to watch it has it's just boring turn of events happening around the OP.
